- The Dress and the Disaster
- She heard something and turned to look, and when she saw it she exclaimed in awe, "Oh wow, Lyss! You look gorgeous!"
- Alyssandra was just getting out of the car, and when she saw Melody she smiled and trotted over. They hugged for a moment before Lyss giggled and replied, "Thanks so much. I just love this dress!" She stepped back and posed to give her friend a look at the gorgeous dress she was wearing. It was deep midnight blue, tight and sheer where it stretched over her lovely full bosom and her luscious full hips, loose and flowing where the gentle breeze made it it ripple languidly over her thighs. The very low plunging neckline displayed her lovely big full firm breasts, and the extremely high hemline displayed her lovely long slender well-toned legs. Its color perfectly complemented the rich dark brown of her long wavy hair and the striking sea blue of her fingernails and the eye-catching sapphire blue of her toenails. They accentuated her dainty slender feet, which were nicely displayed in her elegant strappy high heels, so that from head to toe every last bit of Alyssandra was simply gorgeous. She gave a quick twirl that made her hair and her hemline flutter, then giggled again. "I'm so glad I got to wear it tonight."
- Melody giggled right back. "I love it too! I mean I don't know if I could wear something like that but it looks totally gorgeous on you." She glanced down at Lyss's legs. Melody had never quite been confident enough about her legs to be comfortable wearing minidresses, especially not one that short.
- "It wasn't easy! I was still trying to get it adjusted when Kelly came to pick me up. She had to help a little with the bow." Alyssandra turned around to show Melody what she meant. The dress was backless too, so that her lush dark cascade of glossy brown hair was contrasted against her flawlessly smooth bare skin. Behind her neck its straps were tied in a big bow with the ends trailing like ribbons right down to her hips, where a smaller bow fastened the sash at her waist and trailed matching ribbons behind her legs. "Anyway, she's just parking the car now. I'm gonna go let the hosts know we're all here. I'll see you backstage later, alright?"
- With that she hugged Melody again and started toward the offices, pausing to chat with a few of the arriving guests. Melody went to talk to Kelly, and found her in the parking lot just getting out of the car herself. They hugged and started chatting on the way back to the venue. "Sorry we're a bit late. I had to help Lyssie get ready. You saw her just now, right? And she like showed you her dress."
- "Uh-huh. It's just gorgeous, isn't it."
- Kelly chuckled, "It totally is. But like, do you think it might be a little on the short side?"
- It totally was. On anybody else Melody would have said it was way more than just 'a little' short, but ever since they knew each other Alyssandra had always loved wearing the tiniest miniskirts and minidresses, so what would have seemed absurdly short on just about anybody else was just a bit shorter than usual on her. "Well yeah. But she wears miniskirts and stuff like that just about everywhere, right? Remember the concert last week?" When they got there everyone said her tiny little tight green miniskirt was really cute and totally stylish, but then as soon as they started up the stairs to the balcony the skirt started riding up and Melody and Kelly both got a really close-up look at her matching tiny little green thong, and after that they had to spend the whole night reminding her to keep tugging it back down every few minutes just in case she happened to stand too close to the railing and somebody downstairs happened to look up.
- "Oh yeah, I know," she snickered. "I guess it's like just normal for her. I was actually kinda worried about that tonight, since like this is a charity event. And it's like for children. But when I mentioned it Lyssie was just all 'it's perfect like this!', and anyway she's been waiting all week for a chance to wear it. See, she actually borrowed it from Megan. We met up after the concert and Lyssie was like all 'I just love your dress!' and 'You look absolutely gorgeous!', so afterward Megan said she could wear it sometime if she liked." Kelly stopped and looked around the empty parking lot as if somebody might be listening. "It's just, she like told me afterward that she wasn't quite as comfortable wearing it herself as she expected."
- "Hmm? Really?" Megan wasn't quite as tall as Alyssandra or quite as slender, but she had totally beautiful legs and she was totally confident about them and usually never had any problem with wearing miniskirts.
- "Oh it wasn't too short for her or anything. Actually it like wasn't nearly as short on Megan as it is on Lyssie. It's just I guess she was about ready to head out when she like checked in a mirror and noticed she had a totally awful VPL. I mean, her pantyline was like glow-in-the-dark level obvious. So she had to do an emergency fix and change from her usual panties to this cute little thong, and then it wasn't nearly so bad." Melody nodded along, wincing in sympathy at the mental image. Megan's usual colorful bikini-style panties under that tight sheer dress must have given her just about the worst VPL ever, and she could hardly even imagine how embarrassing it would've been if she didn't notice and actually ended up going out like that. Kelly went on, "But the thing is, the reason Megan usually like never wears thongs is she just can't stand the whole 'permanent wedgie' feeling, so she had to spend the whole night trying to 'unwedgie' herself every few minutes and it was like totally awkward." She snickered and started walking again. "I was really glad to see Lyssie didn't have any kind of problem like that."
- "Oh yeah, seriously." It would have been totally awful if Alyssandra's gorgeous dress was ruined by a totally obvious VPL. But then, Lyss was always very careful about what she wore, so she totally would have taken care of it before she left. And besides, she liked to wear tiny little thongs all the time anyway, so she probably never had anything to worry about in the first place.
- They were back at the main entrance to the venue now and Kelly went off to talk to the organizers while Melody started for the dressing rooms backstage. She was still thinking about what Kelly just said about Maggie when she turned the corner and saw Alyssandra there, chatting with a few more guests on her way back to the dressing room. She had to snicker a little at that. Most of the guests for tonight's event were families, and most of the families had a young daughter or two, and Alyssandra never could resist a cute little girl. The family she was chatting with right now included a very cute little girl, and Lyss was smiling with sheer irrepressible joy as she bent down slightly to say hi. Melody was still thinking about what Kelly said about Maggie, and as she got closer she couldn't help but notice that the way Alyssandra was bending over made her tight dress stretch even tighter over her magnificent hips and made the very tight fabric turn very sheer. She took a quick look just to be sure, but to Melody's relief she couldn't see any sign at all of a VPL. Alyssandra started to giggle happily as the little girl in front of her smiled an adorable dimpled smile, and Melody had to chuckle at it herself. Alyssandra was always very cheerful and bubbly, and she got so excited whenever she was around cute little girls that she just couldn't help but start acting a little like one herself. She crouched down to give the little girl a big hug, then looked up as her mother said something. Crouching like that made the back of her dress even tighter than ever and extremely sheer, and Melody was right behind her now, but even close-up and from the perfect angle she still didn't see the slightest hint of any pantyline whatsoever. Alyssandra must have been extremely careful about it and made sure to wear the perfect underwear to avoid a VPL tonight, and Melody found herself trying to imagine what it might be. Maybe one of those-
- "Eep!" Alyssandra let out a sudden startled squeak. She was still looking up while stroking the cute little girl's pretty blonde hair when the little girl reached up to stroke her lustrous hair too, but on the first stroke her little fingers got stuck, and she pulled back and ended up yanking Lyss's head to the side. Her parents rushed in to quickly untangle that and separate the two, and Alyssandra stood back up and cheerfully waved off their apologies and then waved goodbye to their daughter as she was hurried away. Melody was starting up the stairs to the dressing rooms now, and Alyssandra turned and caught sight of her.
- "Oh, Melody! Wait up," she called out and waved and trotted over, climbing up behind her and saying, "Did you see that just now?" with a quick chuckle. "Looks like that girl had a little snack on the way here and I guess she just forgot about her sticky fingers." She smirked a bit ruefully, but didn't seem too upset about the stickiness left in her hair. "Isn't she just the cutest? Her name is Clara, and you know what she said I look just like a fairytale princess." She grinned and giggled and squirmed, bursting with sheer delight. "I'm so, so glad I could wear this dress tonight." She sighed in contentment, striking a pose that left Melody once again struck by how incredibly gorgeous she looked. After holding that pose for a few moments she hopped up the last step and the two of them entered the dressing room together.
- Alyssandra went to the mirror to see about fixing her hair. It didn't really look too bad, but Lyss was always very careful about things like that and she would want to take care of it right away. "They said they just need a little more time to get the event started, so before that the three of us can go on stage for a few pictures with the guests." She giggled some more. "Oh, I can't wait. I was talking to a few more of them earlier. There was this one family earlier and their daughter Bethany, she was just the most adorable." She leaned toward the mirror and examined her hair, grinning as she remembered. "I really hope we can get a picture with her. Or with her and Clara together!" She went on like that, carefully working most of the residue from her lustrous hair before reaching for a brush to rearrange it properly. Looking at her when she leaned over like that reminded Melody of something, and she brought it up now just to be sure.
- "So um, Kelly was telling me earlier, you borrowed that dress from Megan?"
- "Uh-huh. We met up last week, after you left. She looked absolutely gorgeous in it, and then she said I could borrow it whenever! So I totally couldn't wait, and tonight was just the perfect chance. I've been looking forward to it all week." With a few last strokes of the brush she sat on the little stool and swiveled around, trying to look over her shoulder in the mirror to see what her hair was like now. "I should thank her again after this. You know she messaged me about the dress earlier right before we left. I never would have guessed, but apparently last week she had a bit of a problem with it." Not seeing much from that angle, she reached over for a hand mirror. "See, I guess she was just getting ready to head out when she noticed-"
- "Oh!!" Melody gasped in alarm and shock. "Lyss!! Your-! You're-!" she sputtered, staring wide-eyed and pointing. Alyssandra looked up and saw where she was pointing and looked down and realized what she was staring at.
- "Oops!" she exclaimed and snapped her legs closed. Distracted by relating her story and by looking over her shoulder at the same time as she reached over like that, she had carelessly allowed them to come open quite a bit too far.
- "Lyss, what- What happened to-" Melody kept sputtering, aghast. "I mean are you- Did you really-"
- "I didn't have a choice!" Alyssandra protested, just as emphatically. "Like I was saying, Megan messaged me about it right when we were about to leave, so I went to the mirror to check and it was just like she said. Like a big letter 'T' right there on my butt. My pantyline!" With that last word her voice rose and tightened and sounded every bit as distressed as Melody felt right now. "So I couldn't just leave with it showing like that, especially not in this dress! I've been looking forward to wearing it all week, and it's so gorgeous I just couldn't ruin it with a... a VPL." Her voice quavered as she said it, as if she could hardly stand to think about the dreadful meaning of those three letters. "So I had to do something! But there wasn't any time, we were already running late and Kelly was already waiting in the car. It was a total emergency! So I had to do an emergency fix. I didn't really want to but I really didn't have any choice. I just *had* to, um... *go commando* tonight." Her insistent explanation turned suddenly sheepish as she at last had to admit to it, and Melody sank into the stool at the other mirror, her head spinning.
- Commando.
- Alyssandra was going commando.
- It was exactly what she was afraid of just now, when Alyssandra reached over and carelessly opened her legs too far and let her see for herself, even though she didn't want to believe what she was seeing. And it was exactly what she was afraid of earlier too, when she checked for Alyssandra's pantyline and couldn't see one at all, even though she didn't even want to think about why she wasn't seeing it. And it was what she was afraid of before she even thought about seeing anything, as soon as she heard the first mention of Alyssandra's pantyline. The reason Alyssandra didn't have to worry about a VPL tonight was really even simpler than she expected. And the reason she couldn't see any sign of Alyssandra's pantyline tonight was really just as simple as could be. And what she saw when Alyssandra reached over really was just what it looked like. Alyssandra had no reason whatsoever to spend tonight worried about her pantyline, because Alyssandra didn't have any pantyline whatsoever tonight, because tonight Alyssandra wasn't wearing any panties whatsoever. So when Alyssandra carelessly opened her legs far enough to give Melody a perfect glimpse right up her dress, what she really saw there really was Alyssandra's completely bare pussy.
- Alyssandra was still explaining, although Melody was hardly listening, "Megan said she only noticed it at the last minute too, just like that, and she took care of it by just changing her panties. I tried that too, but with every pair I tried it was the same thing, like a letter 'T' right there on my butt." Alyssandra liked to wear tiny little thongs all the time, so of course she was wearing a thong in the first place and of course none of her other thongs would be any different. "Maybe if I had one of those C-strings... If I noticed it a little earlier I could have tried to stop somewhere for a C-string or something, but I never noticed anything and I had absolutely no idea until the last minute when Megan warned me. And we were running so late there was no time to stop anywhere. Still," she snickered ruefully, "I'm really glad she warned me in time because otherwise I might never have noticed at all. Can you even imagine what it would look like? That would have been such a disaster." Melody didn't have to imagine that, because she didn't have to imagine any disaster. All she had to do was look. Because right now, even though Alyssandra looked just as gorgeous as ever in her absolutely gorgeous dress, all Melody could see was an absolute recipe for disaster.
- "We have to do something!" she burst out, jumping to her feet. If they didn't, tonight was sure to be a much bigger disaster than Alyssandra was imagining, and this was their last chance to avert it. "Have you got any s-" she caught herself. Of course Alyssandra wouldn't have any spare panties, when she'd just left her panties behind in the first place. "-safety pins, uh, somewhere around here?" she finished instead. If they could maybe pin the dress down at least it wouldn't flutter in the breeze, although it would still be dangerously short. "Or some kind of wrap to wear? Maybe if we-"
- "Huh? Oh! No, don't worry about that," Alyssandra assured her, smiling cheerfully. "I was a little too relaxed just now, because we're alone. But it'll be fine if I just keep my legs crossed." She demonstrated by crossing her lovely legs, almost but not quite giving Melody another perfect glimpse as she did. "And anyway, I'll make sure to be extra careful all night."
- Careful. Alyssandra was always careful about some things, like about her hair and about what she wore. But she always seemed to be remarkably careless about other things, like keeping her tight miniskirts from riding up too much or keeping her light and loose minidresses from blowing too high in the breeze. Last week at the concert was the most recent time, but there were all sorts of others she could think of, like that time at the parade, and the time at the park, and that other time at the comedy club. She remembered Kelly like to joke that it seemed like every time they went out together, sooner or later Alyssandra would somehow end up flashing her panties. Counting on Alyssandra to be "extra careful" about her tiny little minidress all night was practically an open invitation to disaster, and a disaster tonight would be far far worse than any of those other times. Because if Alyssandra got even a little bit careless tonight, this time she definitely wasn't going to end up flashing her panties.
- "But Lyss, you're-" she caught herself again. She couldn't just say that Lyss wasn't being careful at all, even though she just saw Lyss being very dangerously careless on the stairs just now, when she stood and posed at the top step. If anyone had been behind her just then and happened to look up at the wrong moment and see... And before that too, when she crouched to hug that little girl, Clara. If little Clara happened to look down at the wrong moment, maybe when something caught her eye like a shiny set of gleaming sapphire toenails adorning a pair of lovely slender feet, and between them... And even before that, as soon as she arrived, before Melody even saw her. She remembered hearing something, and it might just have been an exclamation of surprise, maybe from someone who happened to look over at the wrong moment just as Lyss opened her legs just a bit too much while getting out of the car and see... "You're, uh-" Even if she tried to explain all that, she knew it wouldn't do any good. No matter how many times they tried to warn her Alyssandra never quite seemed to believe how careless she could be, and she always just blew off their concern and said there was nothing to worry about. If she was going to do something about the impending disaster tonight, she was going to have to find a different approach. "-you're going to be taking pictures with those kids before the show, right?"
- "Uh-huh!" Alyssandra nodded eagerly at the apparent change of subject. "They said all three of us could. It'll be so much fun! I still have to tell Kelly about it too, I just know she's going to love the idea." She giggled merrily. "Oh that's right, Kelly mentioned something about some old decorations backstage here. Maybe we could use them to make sort of a fairytale theme, just like Clara said!" She giggled again, a wave of sheer delight, and got up. "Do you think they're in here? Maybe there's something in the dresser here that-"
- "But Lyss," the anxious tone in Melody's voice must have got her attention, because she stopped halfway to the dresser and looked back. "With little kids all around you like that... what if one of them, um... looks up..."
- Alyssandra just stared back blankly for a moment, then she started to say something and froze with her mouth open. Her expression shifted from confusion through dawning realization and distress as she pictured the arrangement, then alarm as the full consequences occurred to her for the first time. She brought one hand to her mouth and the other to her hemline, looking down. "Oh... oh no. I never thought about that..." It wasn't even a matter of being careful or careless. With her very long legs and her very very short dress, Alyssandra's hemline was so extremely high that from a little kid's perspective it would be very close to eye level. So if a little girl just a bit on the short side just happened to be standing just a bit too close and just happened to look up and see...
- "We *have* to do something," Melody repeated, just as distressed by that mental image but also relieved that Lyss seemed to have realized that being careful just wasn't enough. "Have you got anything that might help? Maybe there's some accessories with the decorations in the cabinet?"
- Lyss was still looking down, now with disappointment. "I guess I'll need to adjust it again after all." She sighed with resignation. "Kelly said she thought it might be a little on the short side, but I think it looks perfect just like this."
- Melody felt a surge of hope. "Adjust it? You can do that?" It sounded a lot better than trying to improvise with safety pins or some kind of makeshift wrap.
- "Uh-huh. Maybe if we can just loosen the sash a little it won't look too much worse," Lyss turned around and reached for the bow behind her waist, and Melody hurried to help her. "Oh, go ahead, I think you can reach it better anyway."
- She examined the bow and tugged experimentally at it, once again struck by how absolutely gorgeous Alyssandra looked tonight. Her flawlessly smooth skin, her luscious full hips and her supple, well-toned thighs, all perfectly accentuated by the sheer yet flowing fabric made an even more incredible sight up close like this, and Melody had to look away for a second to stay focused. The bow loosened easily, allowing the sash to slide down and rest a little lower on Lyss's hips. The hemline, slowly descending along with it, reached just about mid-thigh before the sash was resting just about as low on Lyss's hips as it could get and still stay in place. That was still very uncomfortably short under these circumstances, but for Lyss it wasn't any shorter than usual, and just now it was probably the best they could do. She leaned back for a better view and was relieved to see everything looked just as gorgeous as ever.
- "Is that enough?" Alyssandra asked, craning her neck to try to look for herself. "I think that's just about all I can- eep!" she let out a startled squeak, and Melody looked up in alarm as Lyss moved like lightning to catch the left strap of her dress before it could start to fall away. It seemed that she had been loosening the upper bow behind her neck while Melody had been loosening the lower bow behind her hips, until she loosened it just a bit too much and it started to come undone. "Don't worry, I got it," she gave a nervous giggle and reached back to tie the bow again.
- Melody had to take a moment to steady her breathing before she could reply, "Oh, uh, I'll help too. Just gimme a sec." and then she took a moment to steady her hands before she could finish securing the sash, which suddenly seemed much more important than it had just a few moments ago. Reassuring herself that at least Lyss's reflexes seemed perfectly capable of averting disaster even if something important came undone later, she nevertheless worked as carefully as she could, positioning it just a bit higher and tightening the bow until it was as snug and secure as she could make it, then tested it with a few firm tugs just to make sure. Meanwhile, Lyss seemed to have mostly finished with the upper bow and was testing the straps over her shoulders, so Melody tested the straps under her arms before they both stepped back from the mirrors to see how everything looked now.
- "Oh, that's a lot better," Alyssandra grinned cheerfully and gave the hem of the dress a quick swish. "It seems about long enough now, right? And it still looks just perfect." She giggled and turned to look at it from the side. The dress was longer now, at least. Melody would rather have said it was maybe just barely long enough as long as Lyss didn't get careless again tonight, but she did still look absolutely gorgeous in it. From behind now, it seemed that the ribbons were even longer too, and she leaned in for a closer look, wondering why. "I was all worried what it would look like after we adjusted it," Lyss went on. "But I guess there was nothing to worry about after all." Then she turned to look at the other side, and suddenly Melody had something to worry about when she noticed Alyssandra's breasts.
- They swayed majestically when she turned, they jiggled vivaciously when she gave another swish, and they bounced and bounced and bounced with every little movement. Her big full firm breasts had been bouncing and jiggling all night, of course, since she obviously couldn't wear a bra with a backless dress. But now they seemed even more energetic than ever, and Melody had to stare at the fascinating sight for a few more seconds before she understood.
- The sash at Alyssandra's waist hadn't just been holding the loose and flowing half of her dress in place and keeping her hemline uncomfortably high - it had also held the tight and clingy top half of the dress just taut enough to keep her chest comfortably supported. So when she loosened and lowered that sash to lower Alyssandra's hemline, she had also loosened that tension and left Alyssandra's very generously endowed chest completely unsupported and quite uncomfortably bouncy. At least it looked uncomfortable. Alyssandra didn't exactly seem to mind, didn't even really seem to have noticed, but Melody was uncomfortable enough for both of them.
- "It really looks just as perfect as ever," Alyssandra was saying. "Don't you think so?" she stepped from side to side, swishing and swaying even more majestically and very distractingly. When she didn't get an answer she glanced over her shoulder to ask, "Melody? Do you think there's something wrong with it?"
- "Oh, uh, yeah. Uh, no," she stammered, "Oh, it still looks gorgeous, it's just, your-" she caught herself. Bringing up Lyss's unsupported chest now wasn't going to do any good now, even if they could find a way to adjust the dress again that might help. No matter how many times they tried to suggest it, Alyssandra never quite seemed to believe that her chest could use a little extra support, and if she thought she could get away without it she always just blew off their concern and said she was perfectly comfortable. If she was going to do anything about the distracting display that Lyss was making, she was going to have to use another approach. "You're going to be sitting down, right? Uh, you know, just in case."
- "Oh, of course. Don't worry about that. Like I said, I'll be extra careful. And I'll make sure to keep my legs crossed." Lyss giggled confidently. Melody wasn't nearly so confident, but as long as Alyssandra was sitting down and not moving around too much, a little bit of extra bouncing shouldn't be too much of a problem. "Now come on, we gotta hurry," satisfied with her dress, she reached for the hand mirror again to finish checking her hair. "They'll want to get started with the pictures soon and I haven't even told Kelly about it yet. I know she'll want to help out even if she might not want to be in any pictures herself. And she'll just love Clara and Bethany and the others. Did she say anything about where to meet her?" she asked as they left the dressing room and started down the stairs.
- Melody started to reply, but then Lyss noticed she was still holding the mirror and stepped back inside to put it down. "I think she said she was going to talk to the organizers herself, so she can probably meet us- uh, at the-" she trailed off. Alyssandra was a few steps behind her now, and when she looked back to answer Melody couldn't help but notice the way her dress began to flutter as she hurried down the stairs. She was suddenly even more glad that they got a chance to adjust that dress just now, because otherwise Lyss might have just carelessly given her another quick glimpse. "Uh, we can all meet up at the stage, I think," she finished, regaining her composure.
- "Great! So we don't have to keep everyone waiting." Alyssandra caught up and together they headed to the main stage. There were plenty of chairs and a few big tables set up on the lawn in front of it, and the first few guests were starting to gather there now. Melody looked around for Kelly but she didn't seem to be here yet, so the two of them went to say hi to the families and explain there would be a slight delay before the event got started. More guests were arriving all the while and soon a bit of a crowd was gathering around them now, mostly families with little girls eager to take a picture with the fairytale princess. It seemed like almost every family here had a young daughter or two, and it seemed like almost all of them wanted to join in their little impromptu photo op right away. Either the organizers had spread the word about that or it had spread all by itself, because they already seemed to already know all about it, including the whole princess theme. Before long there was so much clamoring for it that they decided they would just have to get started with the pictures now and Kelly would just have to join in when she got here.
- So they took the whole group of girls up there, with Alyssandra leading the way and Melody making sure to stay right behind her when they went up the steps, just in case. As soon as they were on stage the whole group started jostling and pressing in to be the first to get a 'princess picture' and Melody had to come over to help settle the little girls down and get them to hold still long enough to pose for it. On stage like this Alyssandra looked even more gorgeous than before, under the bright lights that made her flawlessly smooth skin gleam and her sleek, lustrous hair glimmer, and the gentle breeze that made loose strands wave languidly around her face and the flowing fabric ripple at her legs. With a little jewelry and maybe a tiara or something she really would look like some kind of fairytale princess.
- They had to do three big group photos before everyone had a chance to be in one, and after the girls hurried off the stage into the audience to look at the pictures their parents and siblings had taken almost all of them hurried right back on the stage for even more. It was starting to look like this might take a bit longer than they had expected, but all the little girls were having such a good time that Melody didn't really mind. Their excitement was very infectious, after all, and before long she found herself getting a little excited despite her nervousness. Alyssandra, meanwhile, was getting very excited, posing with a big smile for every picture and giggling happily right along with the girls afterward. When the big group photos were done she started posing with smaller groups of just a few girls at a time, getting more and more excited with every one until it was as if her own excitement together with the girls' excitement together was building up into an irrepressible fountain of sheer exuberant delight. Soon some of the girls were bouncing up and down as they laughed in between pictures, and Alyssandra just couldn't resist bouncing right along with them.
- And that, Melody couldn't help but notice, was making Alyssandra's big, full, firm, and already very bouncy breasts even more uncomfortably bouncy than ever. And those stage lights were more than bright enough to turn the already sheer fabric of her dress even more sheer, while that gentle breeze was just chilly enough to turn her already perky nipples quite a bit too perky for that sheer and flimsy fabric to quite keep concealed. Just like Melody was afraid of in the dressing room earlier, Alyssandra's excitement was beginning to push her 'princess photoshoot' over the line from innocent to indecent.
- "Um," she called out, hurrying over before any parents in the audience could object to just how much of the 'princess' their little children were seeing just now, "how about a few with everyone sitting down?" she cast a quick backward glance at the audience and then a very pointed glance at the very perky pokies that might just have caught the eyes of more than a few of them by now. "Is there a chair somewhere around that we could use?"
- "Oh, hmm. Let's see..." Alyssandra looked around for one, never even noticing the direction of Melody's eyes. The seats for the audience were all either flimsy folding chairs or big heavy benches that would never do for something like this. But then she glanced at the far end of the stage and her eyes lit up. "Oh, there!" Melody turned to look too. "Hi Kelly!"
- There she was, coming up the steps from the backstage area, and Alyssandra and Melody hurried over together, with a few of the girls trailing eagerly behind. "Hey, glad you're having fun," Kelly said as she came up to them. "They told me about this whole photoshoot thing, and that like I guess they might need a little more time than they thought, so I went to look for a few props we could use. Here, try these on."
- Alyssandra's eyes were wide with excitement as Kelly put the necklace on her. It was a string of glass beads, mostly small and round with a few larger teardrop-shaped ones. The light made them all sparkle nicely, and the largest teardrop hung right down into the 'V' of her neckline where it nestled perfectly in her plentiful cleavage. She giggled and turned around and posed for the kids, who responded with looks of awe and wonder at the way their princess sparkled. There was a matching pair of bracelets too, and while Alyssandra put them on and posed a few more times Kelly pulled Melody over to the side of the stage to see what else she'd found.
- "Oh. Oh, that's perfect," she exclaimed when she saw the big wicker chair, painted white with a big white cushion. Kelly had added a little of what looked like tinsel from a Christmas tree to the back, which would complement the sparkling at Lyss's neck when she sat in it. Together the two of them hauled it up the steps and over to center stage, where it was met with even more excitement and wonder than the jewelry. The girls even fell mostly silent as they watched their 'princess' take her 'throne'. Alyssandra walked up gracefully, sat daintily and crossed her legs carefully, and when the moment was over everyone burst into a wave of giggles.
- Then the adoring little girls surged in to take their places for seated pictures. This time they had to do five big group photos to give everyone a chance, with Melody and Kelly both helping to manage things. Afterward the girls took turns in smaller groups again and they had a chance to talk. "This was a totally awesome idea," Kelly was saying. "Everyone's having a great time. Especially Lyssie," she chuckled wryly, "I don't know how long it's been since I saw her having so much fun." She really was having fun, giggling happily and bouncing right along with all the little girls all around after every picture. Alyssandra looked as excited as Melody had ever seen her, but that meant she was just as excited as that time at the parade.
- They got there a little after the parade started and they ended up parking right near where the parade route ended so they had to walk most of the way back along it to get to their seats, and they passed most of the earliest floats on the way. Melody was busy scanning the crowd looking for Megan and Natalie, who'd arrived early to get set up and make sure they got good seats, but she still saw plenty of the parade because Alyssandra kept pointing out all the parade floats that she liked best, like the 4H float with the cute little girls in their cute uniforms, and the ballet studio float with the elegant ballerinas twirling, and the theater group float with the actors posing and quoting speeches at each other. She seemed to be getting more and more excited with each one she pointed out, and her very favorite of all was the float with the adorable little girls hula dancing in adorable grass skirts. And when Alyssandra waved to them and a few of the girls giggled and waved back, she was just as happy and excited as could be. That was about when they saw Megan and Natalie with their stuff. They'd found great seats after all, right near the street next to a cramped little parking lot that still had plenty of space for the food stands set up there. Lyss waved and called out to them and hurried over, so everyone turned to look just as she got to the parking lot's little fence. And with all the excitement Alyssandra must have completely forgotten about her miniskirt, because when she went to climb over that fence she carelessly lifted her leg all the way up and ended up flashing her tiny little bright red thong panties at the entire crowd in front of her.
- Melody shuddered at the memory, which suddenly seemed far worse and far more worrisome now than it was at the time. Because just like that time, whenever Alyssandra got really excited she always seemed to end up getting really careless. And right now, right when she needed more than ever to be more careful than ever, she was getting even more excited than ever. If she got just a little too excited tonight and ended up getting even a little bit careless it could end up being a far worse disaster than that time, because tonight she was definitely not going to end up flashing her panties. But still, at least now she was sitting down with her legs crossed, and as long as she stayed sitting down like that and kept her legs crossed she should be safe enough, at least until they were done with these pictures.
- "So they said to take as long as we like with these pictures," she heard Kelly saying, and turned her way. "I was a little worried that like the kids would start to get bored with it but they're still having lots of fun," Kelly went on, not noticing Melody's look of apprehension. "Lyssie's totally great with kids, huh."
- "Huh?" was all Melody could say. She must have missed what Kelly was saying while she was thinking about Alyssandra.
- "I mean, look how excited they all are. This princess thing was like such a great idea," she snickered. "But still, I hope they get that new camera working pretty soon. Like before anybody starts to wonder what's taking so long."
- "Uh-huh," Melody replied as casually as she could manage. "The camera. And uh, did they mention anything else about what's wrong with it?"
- "Oh yeah, I didn't understand too much of that, but they like said something about trying to get it to connect to the right server. Because I guess it like got connected to this other server instead. So now they're trying to get all that working before they can start. There it is, see." She pointed into the audience. "The big ultra-HD camera, in the back."
- Melody peered that way. The bright stage lights made it hard to make out anything past the first few rows of seats, but after looking for a few seconds she could see there were some big cameras set up in the back rows, all well above the audience and all pointed at the stage. One of the biggest, right in the middle, had a few event staff clustered around it and talking, and she figured that must be the one they were working on.
- "So anyway, if someone wants to know about all that, just tell them they're working as fast as they can. I'll let you know if I hear anything else." Kelly got up. "Now I'll see if I can find some more chairs, so give me a hand again when I get back, kay?" She hurried off back down the steps. Melody only nodded vaguely and waved as she left, then looked back at what was happening on the stage. She had hardly even thought about the cameras until now, even though of course she knew that most of the families in the audience were taking pictures of their young daughters. With that thought, even though Lyss was still sitting just like before with her legs crossed, she somehow didn't seem quite as safe as she had just a moment earlier.
- Another little group of girls climbed on the stage and eagerly ran over for their pictures, and Melody went over to help out. She might not be able to do much to help her friend besides hope as hard as she could that Lyss stayed sitting down and kept her legs crossed, but she could still help with the girls at least. They really were having a great time, and Lyss herself was having the best time of all, giggling happily and greeting the new arrivals as they ran up, patting their heads and ruffling their hair as they sat down, and all the while getting more and more excited, until she was bouncing almost as much as when she was standing up.
- Before long she was bouncing perilously close to indecency again, and Melody anxiously tried to keep an eye on her while also trying to keep the girls under control. They were so excited and there were so many of them that it felt like she was constantly running back and forth, and she was starting to get a little tired when Kelly came back. She had two more chairs in the same style as the first one, only smaller. Melody helped bring the first one up the steps and let Kelly get it into position while she went back for the other one. As soon as she finished and turned away a big bunch of girls started clamoring and jostling to sit in it for the next picture, and left momentarily alone, Alyssandra had to get up to try to settle them all down by herself. Melody noticed as soon as she turned back and watched even more anxiously than before as Lyss bent to lay her hand on the head of one overeager little girl, then crouched to wrap her arm around the shoulders of another. She couldn't help imagining what an awful disaster it might be if Lyss happened to bend over like that just a little too far, or happened to crouch like that with her knees pointed in just the wrong direction.
- But as she kept watching, she saw that every time Alyssandra bent over she kept one hand on the back of her dress, and every time Alyssandra crouched she kept one hand on the front of her dress between her legs. Her movements were perfectly smooth and casual, but always perfectly timed to keep herself completely covered. Melody never even noticed it until now when she was watching closely, but it looked like even now that she was extra excited Alyssandra really was being extra careful. It was a reassuring thought, and she started to think that maybe she didn't need to be quite so worried about Alyssandra getting careless after all.
- But when they got the chair over and went to set it up with the other two it seemed to make the girls even more eager, clamoring to sit down for another round of pictures, so that all three of them had to help keep them under control while they got the chairs positioned properly. Meanwhile, Kelly took the chance to say something about some more accessories, and watching them Melody couldn't help but notice that between the chairs and the girls and what Kelly was saying and of course her dress, it seemed like Alyssandra was just as distracted as that time at the comedy club.
- They got there just as the opening act was starting and met Natalie and Penelope, who'd arrived a little earlier and got a nice big table for everyone right in front of the stage. Alyssandra was really enjoying the show, and Melody was getting into it too, but Megan and Natalie were kinda bored and mostly just looking forward to the next act. They were talking about it and Natalie found a couple videos from one of his other acts on her phone, and she was showing everybody so Melody leaned over to take a look. It really was a little better than the show on stage, and Alyssandra leaned over and looked too, while also still watching the stage. Then Megan found another video from a different show and they both leaned over to watch that too. And between the discussion and the stage and the two videos Alyssandra was distracted enough that she must have completely forgotten about her minidress, because when she stood partway up out of her seat and leaned most of the way over the table she carelessly let the back of her dress rise all the way up and ended up flashing her tiny little lacy black thong panties at the entire audience behind her.
- Melody winced at the memory, which now seemed even worse and even more troubling than it had at the time. Because whenever Alyssandra ended up getting distracted like that she always seemed to get careless like that. And right now she was starting to get really distracted, right when she really could not afford to get at all careless. Because now she was in front of an even bigger audience, and if she got distracted and careless tonight she definitely wasn't going to end up just flashing her panties. So it was a real relief when the chairs were all in place and Alyssandra sat back down safely.
- The little girls got into place for the next pictures and Kelly came over, giggling with some of their infectious enthusiasm. "This is going so great, isn't it," she stopped to say on her way back to the steps. "Lyss looks just perfect, and her dress is just gorgeous, isn't it?" Melody nodded vaguely as Kelly went on without pausing. "I know how I was a little worried earlier but when I look now I can't see it at all!" She chuckled. "I mean, it wasn't so bad or anything when I checked earlier either. Just like a faint little letter 'T' on her butt." She giggled again. "Anyway, there's just one more thing I want to get. It'll be so perfect. I'll be right back," she headed off toward the backstage steps while Melody took a moment to think about that and about what Lyss said earlier. If Kelly noticed Lyss's letter 'T' it must have been when she must have checked for it before they left, and she must have decided it wasn't so bad, right before Lyss checked for it herself and decided it was so bad she had to do her 'emergency fix'.
- If only things had worked out just a bit differently. If she never got that warning from Megan and never noticed the 'emergency'... Or if she got it earlier, in time for Kelly to notice the 'fix'... or if they had enough time to stop somewhere for a 'C-string', whatever that meant. If she even just mentioned it to Kelly in the car, the three of them might have done something about it. There were any number of ways that Alyssandra might have avoided the situation she was in right now, on stage in front of a big crowd, giggling and bouncing happily right on the brink of an absolutely terrible disaster. But that's where she was now, and there was nothing Melody could do now but watch and keep everything under control and keep hoping that Lyss kept being as careful as possible.
- At least the girls were getting easier to handle now that they were doing smaller groups for these seated pictures, so she only had to deal with girl sitting in each chair, or sometimes two squeezed in together, and maybe a few more on the floor in front of them while Alyssandra posed and beamed upon her 'throne'. Everyone else milled about while waiting for a turn, gradually growing restless but otherwise mostly staying quiet. Melody watched, only occasionally stepping in to manage the proceedings, and her anxiety began to slowly subside as things started to settle into a rhythm. But then, just as she stepped back from helping a pair of sisters into their seat, she happened to glance over and her eyes went wide as she noticed something distressing.
- When Alyssandra sat back down just now, the ribbons at the back of her dress had draped over the back of her chair so that they were hanging down almost to the floor. And a few of the kids had wandered back there between pictures, and their bored and quite restless little hands starting to idly toy with the fabric. Melody zipped right over to gently take the ribbons and drape them safely over the arms of the chair instead, trying her best not to imagine what kind of disaster it might have been if one of them carelessly tugged just a bit too hard and loosened the bow at Lyss's back just a bit too much.
- She stepped back, pulling the restless kids with her, so Alyssandra could pose for the picture, and as soon as it was finished more girls were pressing in for the next one and she had to step back in to manage them. It went on and on like that, Melody making sure to keep everyone under control and keep their hands away from Lyss's dress, even while she kept making sure that Lyss stayed sitting down and kept her legs crossed. There were so many girls on stage now that she could hardly even start to count them, and even more were still arriving. At this rate, if they kept going with these pictures in little groups those guys working on the cameras would have as long as they needed. At least Alyssandra was enjoying herself as much as ever, and she looked just as excited as ever, smiling with sheer blissful delight, but Melody was getting tired from all the running around and she was really starting to hope that they'd get that camera thing figured out already so the event could finally get started, or at least that Kelly would come back to help out.
- She was peering expectantly over at the backstage steps to look for her arrival when she heard a big "Oh!" and turned to look, and saw yet another little girl climbing onto the stage. She had cute springy strawberry blonde curls that bounced about her shoulders as she pulled herself up, and she was wearing a long turquoise flower-patterned dress that came all the way down to her feet as she stood. Her big cute intensely blue eyes sparkled with excitement as she looked up, and when she saw Alyssandra her cute freckled face blossomed in a big cute gap-toothed smile with little cute dimples. "Ohh!" Alyssandra exclaimed again at the extraordinary display of cuteness before her, totally brimming with excitement. Her first exclamation was what Melody had heard just now, the moment Lyss first caught sight of that display.
- "Pwincess!" that little girl cried out now in the cutest little voice, curls bouncing about her ears as she trotted over. It was simply too much concentrated cuteness, the little girl was simply too adorable, and Alyssandra simply couldn't resist.
- "Oohhhh!" she exclaimed once again, as all her excitement at last overflowed in a wave of joyous giggling and splendid jiggling. She jumped to her feet and threw her arms wide and trotted over too, meeting the girl in the middle of the stage where she crouched to give her a big adoring hug. It was a delightfully cute sight and everybody was delighted to see it. Even Melody smiled for a few moments, until she realized what it meant.
- Alyssandra was crouching with her arms around the little girl, as everyone could see. And that meant Alyssandra was crouching without her hand on her dress, as anyone could tell. And that meant Alyssandra was crouching without holding the hem of her dress between her legs, as anybody might have noticed. But that, as nobody else but Melody knew, meant that right now Alyssandra was crouching right there right in the middle of the stage with the front of her dress resting uselessly on her thighs and nothing at all covering her pussy.
- She felt an awful sinking sensation of dread come over her at that thought. Alyssandra had been trying so hard to be careful about it all night, but now she was so extremely excited and so very distracted that she wasn't even thinking about her dress anymore and she wasn't being careful about it at all. It was just like all those other times when she got too excited and she ended up getting careless. Now she was more excited than any of those times and she was getting even more dangerously careless, and at the most dangerous possible time. Because crouching there like that, on the raised stage and facing the audience and with her feet just about at their eye level, Alyssandra was in the perfect position to end up totally flashing the entire crowd. In fact, she saw now, the only reason Lyss hadn't already flashed the audience as soon as she crouched like that was because of the little girl and her long dress. It was just long enough, and just now it was the only thing between the audience and Alyssandra's totally exposed pussy, which meant that little girl standing right there was all that stood between Alyssandra and a total disaster.
- And just as Melody was realizing all that Alyssandra leaned back and asked, "Do you want to take a picture together?" and the adorable little girl's face lit right up again and she moved to hurry over to the chairs, along with her dress. The sinking sensation turned into rising panic as she imagined the wave of gasps and shocked cries that was about to rise from the crowd as soon as someone caught a glimpse, but at just the same moment Alyssandra placed her hand on her dress and rose, just in time. She took the little girl by the hand and the two of them came back toward the chairs, side by side and giggling happily, while Melody tried to calm herself down. Because even if that disaster had been averted, witnessing such a close call gave her a newly sharpened awareness of just how much danger Lyss was really in right now if she wasn't quite careful enough.
- Alyssandra sat down, with the little girl sitting by her feet, and they posed and grinned and giggled while Melody tried to reassure herself that at least Lyss was sitting down again even if she wasn't really being as careful as before. Then after a few more pictures Lyss happened to strike a languid and elegant pose with her legs crossed, and Melody could reassure herself that at least Lyss was sitting down with her legs crossed just like before even if she wasn't really thinking about being careful on purpose. But then the adorable little girl looked up with an adorable smile and started to say something and Lyss leaned down to listen, pointing her splendidly plentiful cleavage right at the audience as she did.
- Melody winced a little at that, and she winced a little more when Lyss giggled at what the little girl was saying and made her splendid cleavage jiggle. And when Alyssandra sat back up and said, "Of course!" and reached down to help the little girl climb up and sit in her lap, Melody felt her dread rising once again. To everyone else watching, of course, it was simply an adorable scene, a little girl having an absolutely wonderful time with her own fairytale princess, absolutely beaming with sheer joyous excitement and childish wonder. But what Melody saw when she watched was Alyssandra sitting there and posing, every bit as excited as the little girl on her lap and not even thinking about her dress or about being careful at all, just a single careless moment away from an absolute disaster.
- There were ever so many ways that disaster might strike, and Melody was trying really hard not to think about any of them as she tried to think of something to do, all while she watched Lyss posing and giggling and posing again. Even though she was still sitting down, without her legs crossed that was almost even worse than standing up, and with the little girl in her lap it was a whole lot worse. Because even if Lyss herself didn't get careless, that adorable girl could still end up causing the disaster all by herself. If she just scooted backward at the wrong moment and got the front of Lyss's dress bunched up just a bit too high... Or if she only reached up and her little hand happened to carelessly tug the top of Lyss's dress just a bit out of place... Or if she simply shifted the wrong way at the wrong moment and made Lyss's legs come open just a bit too far... There were all sorts of ways posing like that might lead to disaster, and as she watched Melody just couldn't help thinking about them. She had to stop it, she had to think of a way to stop it, some way to stop the impending disaster before it was too late. She didn't know what to do but she knew she just had to do something, and she had to do it *now*.
- She stepped forward. "Do you, uh..." she started, trying to keep her voice steady even as she tried frantically to think of what to do. "I mean, um, do you think..." she glanced around, searching for something she could do, some way she could help, anything that might get Alyssandra out of danger before some kind of disaster struck, and all at once she saw it. "Do you think it's time to let someone else take a picture now?" she said mildly, gesturing with one hand while she took care of the ribbons again with the other. Lyss had been posing with the adorable little girl for a while already now, quite a bit longer than any of the other girls so far, and some of the girls still waiting for their turn were starting to get impatient. A cluster of them was forming all around the chairs, and one plump blonde girl in particular had pushed her way past the others to stand right in front with her hands on her hips and a petulant look on her face.
- "Oh-" Alyssandra looked around, apparently noticing it all for the first time. "Oh, were you waiting to take a picture together too?" The plump girl nodded and stepped forward to take her place with a self-satisfied grin, and Lyss moved to help. But instead of helping the adorable girl sitting in her lap climb down first like Melody expected, she just helped the plump girl climb up too and started to pose again just like that, with both girls on her lap side by side. Melody was panicking again as she saw it, her mind racing, imagining all sorts of new possibilities for disaster. With little girls perched on both of her knees like that they would hardly have to shift at all to part Lyss's legs, and the plump girl was already trying to shift herself to get a little more space, and then a little more, and if she got just a little too pushy about it...
- She couldn't stop imagining it, couldn't stop picturing all those awful scenes, couldn't stop thinking about the countless possibilities for disaster that could strike at any moment. And the more she thought about it the more panicked she got. She just had to do something, but she had no idea what, and while she struggled frantically for an idea Alyssandra was posing with the girls and giggling just as happily as ever. She posed sitting up so her face was above theirs, and she posed leaning down so her face was between theirs, and she posed with her arms wrapped around them. And then she posed with open arms, and when she threw her arms wide the adorable little girl started to lose her balance and reached out to steady herself until Lyss's arm moved back in a flash to catch her. Melody froze with panic when she saw that, because she could see that the adorable little girl's little hand was just about one finger away from grabbing the edge of Lyss's plunging neckline. If her reflexes were just a split second slower that girl would have totally yanked her top right open, and Alyssandra would have ended up with her boob totally exposed right in front of everyone.
- It was a terrible thought, a terrible image, and Melody could hardly stand to imagine it. She absolutely couldn't let anything like that happen, she couldn't take that kind of chance, couldn't let Lyss keep taking that chance. But what could she do about it? If only there was something, anything she could do to help, anything anyone could do, anyone here that could do something to help. And just as she was thinking about it like that, she heard it.
- "Lyssie!" the voice came from somewhere by the backstage steps, and the two of them turned to look. "Oh wow, Lyssie, I'm sorry I took so long," Kelly called out as she came up the stairs and crossed the stage. "I had to spend like so long searching but I finally found it. Here," she held it up, "isn't it just perfect?"
- "Oh!" Lyss exclaimed as soon as she saw. "Oh, you're right," she grinned and giggled, and when Melody saw it she had to agree too that what Kelly had found really was perfect. It was a tiara, made of delicate silvery strands glittering and sparkling so splendidly under the light that it looked almost magical. It was probably just shiny plastic with sequins or something, but just now it was just what she needed, the perfect final touch to complete Alyssandra's perfect fairytale princess look. Everyone else seemed to think so too, because a hush seemed to fall over first the girls and then the whole audience as they saw the way it sparkled. "It's absolutely perfect!"
- Everyone was watching awe and reverence suitable for just such a coronation as Kelly reached out to place the tiara gently on Alyssandra's head, and when she stepped back a wave of adoring murmurs swept all through the crowd. Even Melody had to let out a little sigh of admiration. She would have thought it was such a little thing, but the extra sparkle really did make Alyssandra look even more gorgeous than ever. She was gently adjusting the tiara and her hair when Kelly suggested, "Oh, stand up, so everyone can see."
- Lyss nodded, then remembered the two little girls in her lap. She reached down to help the adorable little girl climb back to the floor, while the plump little girl climbed down by herself. Then she had to catch the tiara as it started to slip and reach up again to adjust it. Kelly and Melody and all the girls were moving to get a better view, so that they ended up in a little loose circle around the chairs. Alyssandra looked around at all of them, absolutely beaming with an expression of absolutely supreme joy, looking happier than Melody had ever seen her. Still securing her tiara and carefully arranging her hair around it, she started to stand up, and that was when Melody saw.
- *No...* she breathed silently in alarm and disbelief. She felt her heart leap into her throat, felt her blood turn to ice, felt a tremendous wave of panic wash over her as she saw it and all at once realized what it meant and what was about to happen. Time even seemed to slow down and everything snapped into perfect sharp clarity, so that she was intensely aware of every last detail. "Wait!" she cried out in frantic desperation, and Lyss started to look her way with an expression shifting from happiness to concern, but she didn't stop. Alyssandra never even glanced at the plump little girl, never saw where she had placed her plump little bottom. The girl never noticed either as she sat down in the chair next to Lyss's, where she had probably planned to sit for her pictures before she got to sit in Lyss's lap instead. She never glanced at the seat before she plopped herself down, never even saw what was lying there, where it must have slipped from the arm of the chair where it had been carefully placed earlier. Only Melody noticed it, and Melody was too far away to do anything about it besides watch, and cry out, and panic. Because Melody immediately realized what it meant when she saw that the little girl was sitting right on the end of a long midnight blue ribbon.
- *Oh no...* she murmured silently in appalled dread. It was just what she was afraid would happen, and she felt her tummy drop and her hair stand on end as she watched it happening. Alyssandra continued to rise, quite failing to realize the meaning of Melody's sudden exclamation and completely failing to notice the gentle tugging sensation at her back as the ribbon went taut. Melody had made sure to keep the trailing end of that ribbon carefully draped over the arms of those chairs where it would be safe from being pulled by little restless hands, but it had slipped down to the seat of that chair where it was now trapped quite firmly beneath the weight of a little plump bottom. And with the other end of that ribbon attached to the bow at the back of Alyssandra's dress, it was being pulled between the stationary seat and the rising bow. So as Alyssandra stood up, completely oblivious to what was happening, the ribbon began to slide out and the bow began to slip loose.
- *Oh please no...* she squealed silently in anguished despair. It was happening now, just like she was afraid of, and she felt her entire body tense up as she watched helplessly. She focused on the ribbon, silently willing it to stop sliding and stay safely in place. And she focused on the bow, silently pleading for it to stop loosening and stay safely fastened. And she focused on Lyss, silently begging her to stop standing and stay safely seated. Because if she didn't stop she was just about to stand right up, that ribbon was just about to slide right out, and the bow that fastened the straps of Alyssandra's dress was just about to come undone.
- But all Melody's desperate commands went unheeded and her pleas went unanswered, and right before her eyes, no more than a single endless agonizing second after she saw what was happening, the absolutely unbelievably awful disaster really happened. Alyssandra stood right up, the ribbon trailing down from the back of her dress pulled right out, and all at once the bow at the back of Alyssandra's dress came completely undone and the straps started to slide right off her shoulders. And just like that, right there on stage, right in front of everyone, Alyssandra's gorgeous dress was falling right off.
- *Noooooooo!!!* Melody shrieked silently in sheer horror at the completely unfathomably terrible disaster unfolding before her. She couldn't believe it, she couldn't stand it, she couldn't bear to watch but she couldn't look away. It was unbelievable, yet undeniable. It was unbearable, yet unstoppable. It was unthinkable, yet inevitable. Alyssandra's dress was falling and there was nothing that could stop it, nothing that could keep it up, nothing left that could avert disaster. And it was a disaster far, far worse than any of the disasters she had been imagining all night, immeasurably worse than any disaster she could have possibly imagined. She watched the unimaginable disaster, helpless and horrified and hopeless, until Alyssandra's hands moved like lightning, and a tiny spark of hope rekindled.
- Even as excited and as distracted as she was, Alyssandra's reflexes were almost as quick as ever, and the straps had only just cleared her shoulders before she reacted and moved to catch them. If she could just catch those straps before her dress fell too far Alyssandra just might be just in time to just barely save herself from disaster. She moved faster than Melody had ever seen, faster than she would have thought possible, her hands diving down to her shoulders. They had to dive like that to reach the straps sliding from her shoulders, because her hands were on her head. Because Alyssandra was still fixing her tiara and her hair when she stood up, her hands were still on her head at the moment that her dress began to fall. The straps were falling faster and faster, and she was moving as fast as she could to catch them. But lifting her hands to fix her tiara right when she did had left them right in the worst possible position right at the worst possible time, so that right at the very moment that disaster suddenly struck, her hands were just a bit too far away to stop it. They dived as fast as they possibly could but it just wasn't quite fast enough, they just weren't quite close enough, and as the falling fabric fluttered away from her frantically grasping fingers the last glimmer of hope slipped away, leaving only a fathomless pit of horrified despair at what was just about to happen next.
- Because just a split second later the falling dress dropped far enough to reveal the absolutely horrendous yet supremely glorious sight of Alyssandra's big, full, round, firm, and totally bare breasts. They stood out proudly from her chest, jiggling just a bit and gleaming in the bright light, smooth and supple and topped with perky pointy nipples. They were beyond gorgeous, and this was beyond disastrous. Melody had only glimpsed them before, when they got dressed together a few times and a few other times when Lyss forgot she was wearing a really loose top and carelessly leaned over a little too far. Even just peeking out into view like that they looked lovely, and fully exposed like this they looked simply luscious. But looking at them right now was absolutely horrendous, because right here on stage Alyssandra's luscious breasts were fully exposed right in front of absolutely everyone. It was a totally, unimaginably, incomprehensibly catastrophic disaster, and it was still getting even worse.
- Because the dress was still falling, far too fast for her to even hope to catch it, and revealing more and more with every passing moment. Her lovely smooth, sleek belly, her exquisite slender waist, then her little tender bellybutton and then the marvelous supple curve of her luscious full hips. And then just the tiniest fraction of a second later it revealed entirely the secret that Alyssandra had tried to be so careful to keep hidden, starting with her neatly trimmed little tuft of fine and feathery dark brown fuzz. Yet that horridly delightful patch of lush downy fluff was itself no more than a decoration adorning the true revelation, the most horrendously glorious, the most magnificently terrible, the most unbearably catastrophic and the most unbelievably gorgeous sight yet.
- Soft and supple, flawlessly smooth and plush and just slightly puffy, entirely uncovered and completely exposed and absolutely perfect, it was horrifying, yet amazing. As soon as it was revealed Melody could only gaze in fascination and horror at the utterly unbelievable, incredibly beautiful sight of Alyssandra's lovely and totally bare pussy. Silence settled over the crowd as the dress fluttered all the way down to the ground and finally settled around her feet, everyone shocked into speechlessness by the utterly unbelievable sight, and Alyssandra looked back, just as shocked as anyone. Her hands clutched at herself, driven by the reflex to cover herself but unable to cover everything at once and only jerking uselessly up and down and up and down again, so that they couldn't even begin to cover much of anything.
- The seconds stretched on while she stood there immobilized, her mind struggling to comprehend what her senses were struggling to tell her. Only her face seemed to move, her expression slowly shifting as the sheer unfathomable scale of the incomprehensibly horrific disaster sank in, the unimaginable thought became undeniable reality, and the terrible realization seemed to be written right there on her face. She was standing on stage, in front of a crowd. She was wearing her shoes, and her bracelets and her necklace, and of course her tiara. And nothing else. Her eyes widened, her mouth opened, she began to tremble and her skin brightened all over. She was on stage, naked except for her shoes and some jewelry, with the entire audience looking at her. She gasped softly, her hands leaving her chest and rising slowly toward her face. She was on stage, practically naked and completely exposed for everyone in the crowd to see. She gasped again, and again, her entire body trembling. She was almost totally naked on stage, her entire body exposed right in front of all those people. Her hands covered her mouth and tears welled in her eyes, while she blushed so brightly that her whole body almost seemed to glow. She was standing there on stage before the entire crowd, totally exposed right in front of absolutely everyone. She gave one more tremulous gasp that seemed like it was about to spill right back out, even as the tears seemed about to spill from her eyes. They were all looking at her. Her totally bare body, her totally bare breasts. Even... her totally... bare... pussy!
- At last a tiny adorable voice pierced the silence with a single hesitant word. "Pwincess?" the little girl squeaked, and that seemed to break the spell, because all at once the entire room erupted.
- Alyssandra screamed, a terrible, agonized sound that seemed to tear itself out of her throat, all her unbearable horrified anguish completely overflowing as the utterly unthinkable magnitude of the disaster finally struck her with full force. The crowd roared, an incoherent noise that was part shocked gasping and part bewildered squawking and part astonished shouting and quite a bit of laughing too, and which seemed to come from every direction as everyone reacted to the unbelievable sight. The little girls on stage with them stumbled back, still watching in stunned and horrified silence. And all around the light flashed, an irrhythmic flickering that seemed to come inexplicably from the darkness itself, until she remembered about the cameras. The cameras all over the crowd that until just moments ago had been taking fun and innocent pictures of little girls posing happily with their fairytale princess, those cameras were all going off now, all taking pictures of Alysandra's disaster. Alyssandra seemed to realize the same thing at the same time, and her scream rose even higher as her arms flew back down to try to cover herself again.
- Cupped over her breasts, shoved between her legs, one down there and the other clutching at her chest, whatever she did with them she just couldn't quite cover everything and all the while the crowd kept roaring and the cameras kept flashing, driving Alyssandra's screams to ever more hysterical screeching highs. When she used her hands to cover her pussy and her arms to cover her breasts they just squished around and slipped right back out. And when she used her hands to cover her breasts and bent over with her legs squeezed together to cover her pussy the sudden sharp squeals from behind her made her jerk upright and throw her hands over her butt, with her breasts bouncing majestically under the biggest burst of camera flashes yet. And when she lifted one leg and crossed it over the other to cover her pussy, balancing on one trembling leg, her high heel began wobbling under her and she started to tip and almost toppled over until she stumbled forward with her arms flailing and her breasts jiggling and swaying completely free and all lit up by what just had to be just about every single camera there.
- Alyssandra's screams merged into a long steady wail of despair as her shaking legs folded and she started to sink to her knees, until she noticed the fabric that was still lying at her ankles and reached down and grabbed at it. She yanked the dress back up, but it only got to mid-thigh and stopped there, the straps and the bow and the ribbon all completely tangled up around her feet the neckline trapped right under one of her heels. She kept wailing and tugging at it frantically, until there was a sudden ripping noise and she stumbled and toppled over to land on her hands and knees. All at once all the little girls behind her gasped and covered their little mouths in total shock at the totally shocking sight before them. They stayed like that for just a moment as Lyss lifted her head, and then all at once they all let out another big squeal, much louder than before, and Alyssandra froze as she realized what it meant.
- Tears were spilling freely from her eyes now, and once again her horrified thoughts seemed to be written there on her horrified face. They were behind her. The girls were behind her, looking at her. All those little girls were right behind her, looking right at her from behind. Her expression was shifting again, moving right past horrified and into something else. Looking at her like this, on her hands and knees, meant that they were looking right at her bottom. All those adorable little girls, all their innocent little eyes, and she was showing them her completely exposed butt. And... her completely... exposed... pussy!!
- It was just too much for her to bear, and at the realization she leaped to her feet and let out a scream even louder and far more terrible than before, a perfect match for her expression of pure blind panic. She whirled and fled, no longer even trying to cover herself or even thinking about her dress, or anything else at all besides getting away from there as fast as she possibly could. She ran past the girls, who parted to let her pass. She ran past the chairs, headed vaguely in the direction of the backstage steps and almost directly away from the audience. She ran with her glorious butt bouncing and jiggling magnificently with every step and all lit up by the flickering of all the flashing cameras right behind her. She was about halfway there when she stumbled slightly, the torn remains of her ruined dress still around her feet getting tangled up with her heels, but she caught herself and stayed upright and kept going, only to stumble again after just another few steps. Her arms flailed and her boobs swung wildly as she teetered and wobbled and just barely kept her balance. She never even glanced down at her feet, never even thought about trying to free them from the entangling fabric, and just moments later, just when she had nearly reached the steps, one heel suddenly caught once again, and all at once Alyssandra was falling.
- Her scream rose sharply as she toppled over, only to be cut off with a *thud* as she landed. The girls gasped again just like before along with most of the audience, a wave of sheer astonishment at the absolutely unbelievable sight before them. Alyssandra was lying face down on the stage floor, her lovely round rear end sticking up in the air behind her. It was unbelievably glorious, the sight of her shapely and flawlessly smooth cheeks shining splendidly and jiggling gently from the impact. And it was unbelievably terrible, the sight of them like this, on display for all to see, completely bare and totally wide open, with even the very private spot deep between them suddenly made very very public. And just beneath that was the most glorious, most terrible, most unbelievable sight of all. Right there, right in front of them, her most private, most secret, most intimate place was completely exposed, and absolutely everyone could see absolutely every bit of Alyssandra's absolutely gorgeous pussy.
- The sound that rang out in response was unlike anything else, with tones of horror and awe, compassion and appreciation, envy and gratification, all woven together into a noise that was part moan and part squeal and part groan and came from everywhere and went on and on and on. Every camera went off as every voice proclaimed its eloquently wordless reaction, and this time Alyssandra herself was beyond reacting. Instead of freezing again or even hesitating she pulled herself right back up and staggered to the steps and down off the stage and finally, mercifully, out of sight.
- "Lyss..." Melody breathed, still completely stunned by the totally unfathomable disaster that she and everyone else had just witnessed. "Oh Lyss..." she murmured, her head slowly clearing and her thoughts and her senses gradually returning, giving her a vague impression of people rushing up and a raucous clamor coming from all around. "Oh no, Lyss..."
- "Lyssie!!" the cry came from right next to her. "Oh no, Lyssie!!!" Kelly was shouting, in a voice just barely sharp enough to pierce the noise. "Oh, I've gotta... come on, we've gotta hurry!"
- Hearing that her mind clicked into sharp clarity and she jerked into motion, hurrying right across the stage to the steps. "Lyss!" she called out uncertainly, looking around and not seeing anything, "are you..." she crossed from the stage to the dressing rooms and peeked in the nearest one. "Are you in here?" but her hopeful call only echoed in the darkened room. Alyssandra must still be too distraught and panicked to simply find the nearest privacy and duck inside to calm down and cover herself, which meant she must still be running around... and still naked. "Oh no, Lyss!!"
- Melody ran past the row of empty dressing rooms toward the stairs they used earlier. Maybe Lyss had retraced her steps and gone back up there like before. She must have, because otherwise... "Oh no, oh Lyss!" she murmured as she ran. If Alyssandra was still running in a blind panic she might just keep running right past all the dressing rooms until she ended up all the way back at the front entrance, where... "Oh please no, Lyss!!!"
- There would be a big crowd at the entrance right now, where all the rest of the guests were arriving and lining up while they waited to get in. She could even hear it now, a low sound coming from that direction, the indistinct murmur of all those countless conversations. And now she could picture it too, all those unsuspecting people milling about impatiently or chatting or just waiting. If Lyss really was headed their way then any second that murmur would turn into a wave of shocked cries and gasps as a streaker suddenly turned the corner and burst out before all those unsuspecting eyes. And there was nothing Melody could do but keep running and listening and hoping as hard as she could that she wouldn't hear that, and that she would find Lyss safe in privacy of the dressing room. The stairs were right there now, and as she took the first step something behind them caught her eye, something on the ground there in front of one of the doors. Something dark.
- "That's..." she breathed, hardly daring to believe as she zipped over and knelt to examine it. "Is it..." she lifted the fabric to the light and felt a tremendous surge of relief as she saw the unmistakable midnight blue color. "Oh, it is..." It wasn't even too badly ruined, just little torn near one shoulder, although the straps and the ribbon were hopelessly tangled. And when she looked back up she noticed the door was just a little bit ajar. She leaped back up and shoved it open, shouting "Lyss!"
- She was huddled on the floor hugging herself and sobbing, and as Melody burst in she looked up. "Oh, Lyss..." Melody murmured, her relief turning to sympathetic misery at the miserable sight. Alyssandra must have been running in a straight line after all and she just kept running right through the door that was straight ahead, thankfully avoiding the crowd and the disaster that awaited just around the corner. And at the door she must have finally left behind the remains of the dress clinging uselessly to her feet, thankfully alerting Melody to where she went. "Oh no, Lyss..." She crouched to comfort her friend, fumbling with the fabric in her hands and trying to hold it between them in the hopes that covering her a little might help somehow. They weren't even in a dressing room, just part of what seemed to be the venue's ticketing office, but what mattered right now was that at least for now it was private.
- "Mel..." Alyssandra murmured back, lifting her tear-streaked face. "Oh, I... I can't believe..." she squeaked, then sobbed again, fresh tears welling in her eyes. "They saw... they all saw my..." Her hands slowly rose to her mouth while Melody struggled to think of something comforting. "They all saw... everything..."
- "I know..." Melody managed to say. "But it's..." she trailed off. She couldn't just say something as meaningless as 'it's ok' after a disaster like that. "I mean, it'll be..." she couldn't bring herself to say 'it'll be ok' either, when she couldn't even imagine how to begin to deal with that kind of disaster. "Well I mean... I... uh-"
- She was cut off there, when Lyss burst into a huge pitiful wail. "And those poor little girls!" she cried, "They must be completely traumatized!" Sobbing helplessly, she threw herself into Melody's arms.
- Melody gasped, partly in surprise and partly from the sudden and unexpected blossom of feeling upon her chest. Her arms curled around Lyss's back and they held each other like that. "That's..." she murmured gently, "Just... cry as much as you need." A gentle, caring smile spread over her face. "I'm here for you." She might not be able to do anything that would help things, but she could at least comfort her friend. It felt very warm like that, with Lyss's bare back under her hands. And Lyss's totally bare front pressed against hers felt extraordinary. "As long as you need."
- They stayed like that, and she had no idea how long it was before a frantic voice interrupted, "Lyssie!" The half-closed door burst open. "Oh. Oh, Lyssie, I'm so sorry," Kelly was panting after she must have run all the way over here. "I got there like as fast as I could, but... Oh Lyssie, it's so awful."
- "I know," Melody replied as Alyssandra looked up, blinking through her tears. "It was totally awful, but we're here now." she reached up to stroke Lyss's hair in a gentle comforting gesture. "So for now we can just wait here to calm down a little, and then think about-"
- "No!" Kelly cut her off, almost shouting. "I mean yes, it was like awful back there, but now it's gonna- oh no..." she looked up, then hurried past them to the far end of the room. "Oh no, it's like just what I was afraid of."
- "What's the matter?" Melody craned her neck around to peer after her. There was a window over there, thankfully covered with sturdy blinds, and Kelly seemed to be peeking through the blinds now. Alyssandra started to get up, so Melody helped her to her feet and helped her over to the window, placing the mostly useless dress over her shoulders like some kind of scarf or stole. She clutched at it with one hand and clutched at Melody's arm with the other as they both came up to join Kelly, and all three of them peeked through the blinds together.
- The entrance area was just outside the window and the crowd out there looked even bigger than the one at the stage, lines of people snaking back and forth and stretching all the way back toward the curb and the parking lot. She couldn't really see how many more people were over that way but she could hear the indistinct drone of distant conversation. She gasped slightly when she saw them all, and she gasped even more when she looked up a little and saw what they were all looking at. The screen was so big it covered an entire wall, maybe even big enough to be seen all the way from the other side of the parking lot. And right now that big screen displayed a familiar scene on a familiar stage, where a familiar face grinned and gave a familiar giggle. And the little crowd on the stage and the bigger crowd in front of the stage and the even bigger crowd watching the screen all grew hushed to hear that familiar voice exclaim, "It's absolutely perfect!"
- "That's..." she breathed in disbelief. There was an even bigger gasp from beside her and the hand on her arm clutched even harder.
- "I'm so sorry Lyssie," Kelly was saying. "I ran right over and they were already trying to stop it but..."
- "No..." Lyss squeaked, her expression blossoming into horrified comprehension.
- "Then... is that..." Melody still hoped that somehow it wasn't, that their comprehension was somehow wrong, that what was on that screen somehow wasn't what it looked like.
- "I tried to stop it. Everybody tried to stop it! But it all happened so fast and they were like all so surprised and by the time anybody even thought about trying to turn off the camera it was way too late."
- "The camera..." it took Melody a moment to remember, thinking all the way back to when Kelly pointed out that ultra-HD camera. She had never seen anything in ultra-HD before, and what she was watching right now on that huge screen looked sharper and clearer than she would have ever thought possible. Somehow even more lifelike than when she saw it herself in real life.
- "Oh no..." Lyss squealed, her voice taut and trembling with helpless anguish that mirrored what Melody felt at that moment.
- "When I got there they were trying to stop the transmission instead, since they made sure to use an extra long broadcast delay, just in case. Except to do that they had to like access the servers for the broadcast, and they still couldn't access that server."
- "The... what server? Do you mean..." Melody thought back again, but this time what she remembered was only confusing. Unless...
- "They never got all that figured out, so the camera was still connected to the wrong server." Kelly looked down to meet Melody's eyes, her face and her voice twisted in despair as she concluded, "The global live streaming server!!"
- "Oh please no..." Lyss wailed pitifully, still staring out at the screen and not even listening to what they were saying next to her, yet even so expressing the same thing that Melody was thinking as she looked back up too. Because while Alyssandra watching the screen was anguished, Alyssandra on the screen was joyous. It was a wonderful moment for her, after all, surrounded by adorable little girls and in front of an adoring crowd, wearing her gorgeous dress and her sparkling tiara, and still sitting down. If only she could stay sitting down...
- But it was too late for that, and just like before a voice on screen from just out of focus suggested 'stand up', and just like before Alyssandra on the screen started to stand up. But just like before, first she had to bend down to help the two little girls which made her tiara slip which made her reach up to fix it. If only she hadn't... and if only those little girls hadn't... and if only that tiara hadn't...
- There were so, so many of those 'if onlys', and watching the screen now Melody could see them all flit past, rushing through her mind in a blur and only vaguely distinguishable. There were lots and lots of 'if only she had...' this or 'if only she hadn't...' that. More of 'if only the little girl didn't...' and 'if only the ribbon wasn't...' and 'if only the chairs weren't...'. An entire wave of 'if only we hadn't...' and the huge crushing weight of 'if only I did...' and 'if only I didn't...'. Yet among that storm of regrets there were a few that seemed to stand out more clearly and catch her attention for a few moments.
- First and foremost was "if only I didn't try to help with her dress..." It must have been the 'adjustments' they made that left Lyss's dress just a little careless tug away from completely coming undone and left Alyssandra just a little careless moment away from disaster. She only did it because the dress was so short, and getting on a raised stage surrounded by excited little girls in front of a big crowd wearing a tiny little minidress was a recipe for disaster all by itself, especially when she wasn't wearing any panties. And that brought to mind "if only she was wearing panties..." It was Lyss's last-minute decision to take off her panties and go commando tonight that left her perched on the brink of disaster like that, and she only did that because she decided it was the only way to avoid having a VPL all night. And that brought her back around again to the procession of "if only she got Megan's warning earlier, or she never got it at all, or she didn't notice her VPL when she checked, or she wasn't so afraid of a tiny little VPL, or if she had a C-string to wear or..."
- From the beginning to the end there were so many things that might have gone just a bit differently, so many ways they might have avoided this, so many 'if onlys' and so many regrets. Every one of them had done so many things and any number of them might have ended up leading to what happened, and if any of them had any idea what might happen they totally could have stopped it, and if Melody could have done anything to stop it she totally would have. And if she could do anything to stop it right now she absolutely would, but right now there was absolutely nothing she could do. It was too late for that, too late for recriminations and too late for regrets, because as she looked on with the same helpless anguish as Alyssandra beside her watching the screen, Alyssandra on the screen was already happily and innocently starting to stand up.
- They clutched each other, trembling and tense with helpless dread and terrible anticipation and watching with everyone else. On the stage and in front of the stage like before, and now in front of the screen too, everyone was watching Alyssandra. There were so many of them out there, innocently watching the screen with no idea of what was about to happen on it. And in front of other screens too, there was no telling how many more, innocently watching the live stream with no idea at all of what they were about to see. Nobody at all had any idea except for them right there huddled at the window, especially not Alyssandra on the stage. Just like before she had absolutely no idea what was just about to happen to her, right up to the very moment that she stood up, the moment that a frantic voice cried out "Wait!!" from somewhere off screen, frantic and useless and far too late to stop it happening. Watching it all over again Melody wanted to cry out like that all over again, and she would have done it again, she would have done whatever she could to stop what was happening. But it was too late, it was too late for her on the screen and it was far too late for her watching the screen. It was all happening again to Alyssandra on the screen just like it happened before. She was standing up, her ribbon was sliding out, her bow was coming undone, and her dress...
- "Nnnooooooo!!!" they screamed, both of them at once, a completely helpless completely agonized wail as they both watched the unbearable, incredible, terrible disaster happening all over again. She didn't want it to happen, she didn't want to watch it happen, she didn't want anyone else to see it happen and she definitely didn't want Alyssandra to have to see it happen. She couldn't stand what was happening and that everyone saw it happen, and she really couldn't stand that everyone else was going to see it happening now, and she absolutely couldn't stand that Alyssandra was going to have to see it happen, but... but right now as she watched it happen again she couldn't help feeling that she really, really wanted to see it happen. And then it happened.
- Right there on the stage on the screen right in front of everyone, Alyssandra's totally gorgeous dress completely fell off, and just like that Alyssandra was standing right there on the stage on the screen right in front of everyone completely naked. It was terrible, and horrible, and awful, and absolutely gorgeous. Her magnificent figure, her glorious big full gently jiggling boobs, her luscious full hips, her splendid long smooth slender legs, and most of all her spectacular tender fluff-adorned dainty plush pussy. Every last bit of her was simply supremely beautiful, and now every last bit of that beauty was right there, completely uncovered and totally bare and entirely exposed, naked in front of a crowd for everyone to see, and in front of a camera, captured and displayed in flawless fidelity for everyone else everywhere to see too. It was too terrible, it was too beautiful, she couldn't stand it, and she simply couldn't look away.
- Alyssandra was still clutching at her, trembling like she was about to collapse but otherwise frozen in place. Melody's arms moved down in case they needed to catch her and kept moving, sliding over the smoothness, first stroking and then gently caressing the wondrous softness. The beauty before her eyes was right there in her arms, and just like she couldn't look away she simply couldn't let go either. Lyss's legs folded under her and they sank to the floor together still holding each other. Melody placed her head beside Lyss's neck and pressed her face into Lyss's lush dark hair, with Lyss's tears dripping onto her shoulder.
- She wanted to do something, but there was nothing to do. She wanted to say something, but there was nothing even to say. The unbelievable size, the incredible scale, the sheer impossible magnitude of the disaster was simply too great for her to even try to help, no matter how much she wanted to help. But there was something else she wanted to do too, so what she said was, "Don't worry," with a gentle tremulous voice. Her hands slid into an intimate comforting position and squeezed in a pleasant comforting way, and her face got a serene comforting smile. "I'm here for you," she murmured comfortingly, then, "I'll hold you," into the last moments of silence before the roar went up from the crowd on the screen and the crowd in front of the screen. Even softer, beneath that cacophonous roar, she breathed, "I'll hold you as long as I can, Lyssie."
