Why this would be his boggart, and his worst fear, is really anybody's guess, as he has been more than enough exposed to it, at least, enough to get over it. Logical thinking has barely played a part in his life, at least not yet. Within the realms of Jacob's personality, there is barely an in between, no balance, no moderate, no grey. Things are often good, or bad. Since the disappearance and subsequent abandoning of him by his birth parents prior to his arrival at Hogwarts, he has had trouble finding himself, to say the least, and remains still lost in the day to day. Controlled mostly by anger and other negative emotions, while trying to find solace in the rarity of positive emotions, it is safe to say that Jacob is facing, and will face, quite a bit of inner turmoil both now, and in the years ahead.

Coming across as violent, dark, and moody, Jacob is all these things, but he is also exceptionally caring and protective over the people he loves and cares about, even to a fault, and will often find himself wallowing in guilt over every bad thing that happens to them, even if he's not directly involved. He is also deathly shy, although he rarely shows it outwardly, but meeting new people, especially those in positions of power and authority has been known to make him "feel unwell". On the opposite end of the spectrum, he finds dark magic and dark auras to be "exciting", and thus is naturally drawn to the darker side of magic, even if it is an innocent attraction, at least for now.

It's no surprise then, that his appearance would also be fairly unremarkable, and it would be, if not for the fact he has one rare genetic trait, that makes him immediately noticable, a very striking case of heterochromia. This trait sees him sport two very different coloured eyes, one a shining, bright, light blue-grey, and the other a dark, soothing brown. The origin of such a trait hasn't really been traced much, and it remains of little importance to Jacob, who doesn't consider it anything special or even interesting, however, it remains, and will forever remain, really, one of the most immediately noticable things about Jacob's appearance.

He is of average height for his age, slightly athletic, which lends to his agile, quick movements and good agility, and sports a fair complexion, with equally fair, straight medium blonde hair, that seems to be browning slowly over time. He is currently free of any scars, burns, or any other type of marking. He tends to wear fairly normal clothes, although they don't often fit within the realms of "school attire" and is rarely, if ever, seen without his yellow-bobbled beanie hat, and backpack.
