-don't let him get close or pass through you

-if he is close and likes to jab then cc grab him if he is doing single hit jabs

-if he jabs you out of grab then keep trying to grab him after each jab, after jab 3 you get a free grab, but you need to asdi down as you grab. You can cc 3rd jab till 187% and asdi to around 60% but you have enough time between the first two jabs to crouch to cc the third hit.

-if he jab downsmashes/grabs you can grab before he does either or jab if he isn't ccing or asdi down

-if he downsmashes first then shield it and it will reset neutral, if you are on the edge of the stage or platform light shield it

-if you want to punish his downsmash then you need to almost be frame perfect on your wavedash out of shield then dash out of wavedash then jc grab. That is if he downsmashes standing next to you. If he downsmashes with a wd into you he will lose like all his momentum then wd oos and try to grab, he may spot dodge if you are too slow. You have like 3 frames to do this perfectly. So you can mix up with aerials so he doesnt buffer.

-always punish uncharged side b with knee, bair, or uair. If he has no jump then stomp

-his angled up f tilt and forward f tilt are exactly the same and send the same angle, but where hitbox is different of course

-if you're off stage and above, react to him wd to grab ledge and either airdodge early so he can't bair you when you get close, up b high, or fall with a knee at the right spacing to grab ledge when it ends

I dont think it is necessarily bad if he passes through you, but i find it can lead to mad mixups if you let it happen
