  2. Hello. I am just curious of a couple things if you don't mind me asking and got some ideas for the game.
  3.
  4. Aryan - Today at 21:27
  5. ok
  6.
  7. friend - Today at 21:27
  8. So are you the only developer of this game and did you create it from the start?
  9.
  10. Aryan - Today at 21:27
  11. No, me, Kaiser(Romdi) and Thinge
  12. And we weren't the original creator of this game. That was routetwo with IOS in 2003
  13.
  14. friend - Today at 21:28
  15. But you have access to the coding and models and everything right?
  16.
  17. Aryan - Today at 21:28
  18. That is correct
  19.
  20. friend - Today at 21:29
  21. Ok so what was the purpouse of making this game? Was it designed purely for the fun of the game or from a buisness point for profit or both?
  22.
  23. Aryan - Today at 21:30
  24. 100% fun. If it was about business than this game wouldn't be the way it is
  25.
  26. friend - Today at 21:30
  27. Do you have any intentions on continuing the game? Evolving it and fixing bugs, improving the game and creating new content?
  28.
  29. Aryan - Today at 21:33
  30. Yes, there is still enough to do outside the gameplay itself. SDK 2013 port, more content, better animations and fixing bugs are just a quick sample.(edited)
  31.

  33. Have you ever advertised the game or promoted it using videos, social media, streamers etc.?
  34.
  35. Aryan - Today at 21:34
  36. Not really. Only made a quick trailer because Valve required that for Steam Direct. We do plan to advertise once we get out of Early Access.
  37.

  39. With the tournament comming up, I think this would be a good opportunity for the game to be streamed on platforms such as Twitch or Youtube. Getting in touch with streamers or youtubers who are passionate about football either that play FIFA/Football manager etc
  40. This will promote the game to a bigger audience, because currently I think the playerbase is pretty low.
  41. I am sure you noticed it too since a lot of the teams in div3 are nomore and you guys combiend both divisions into one.
  42. I was forced myself to leave one of the older teams to join a newer one cause noone was active.
  43.
  44. Aryan - Today at 21:36
  45. As you can see most of the things are done by the community. EFA is 1 of them with league(s) and cup(s). But not just tournaments. Also many kits, shoes, gloves and more are made by the community.
  46.
  47. friend - Today at 21:37
  48. Have you ever thought of having cosmetics in the game that can be aquired through playing or buying?
  49.
  50. Aryan - Today at 21:38
  51. Also regarding division 3 idea. I wasn't a proponent of it but it was EFA's attempt to do so. Unfortunately I expected the current outcome. But it's for the better.
  52. On cosmetics. It crossed our mind but it won't happen as long we remain in Source.(edited)
  53.
  54. friend - Today at 21:39
  55. A lot of people like to make their character feel like its themself or what they want it to be. Currently the customatization is pretty limited. I think having purchasable cosmetics such as in League of Legends, CSGO, PUBG, that have 0 impact on gameplay would be beneficial for the game and community.
  56. The money can be put back into the game or working more hours on the game and can also be used for promoting the game and evolving it.
  57.
  58. Aryan - Today at 21:40
  59. That is true but you have to know that games like League of Legends, DOTA 2, Fortnite, CSGO, PUBG and Rocket League have a much bigger staff with a lot of money involved.
  60. We do try our best with the limits we have but yea
  61. friend - Today at 21:41
  62. Yes but a lot of them started as a small team League of Legends for example, this is their first game and their budget was low, of course it was a bigger team than 2-3 people but they made it possible to extend their team through cosmetics, skins that can be bought in the store.
  63. That's the point I am trying to get across. Having some sort of marketing in your game and getting revenue from it whilst keeping it free to play and not impacting gameplay with the paid features.
  64.
  65. Aryan - Today at 21:42
  66. League of Legends came from Dota 1 though. Ofcourse I am not saying they started they way they are now but from the get go they had much more support than we ever had.(edited)
  67.
  68. friend - Today at 21:42
  69. This will benefit you and the community and the game.
  70. Obviously you need a 3D artist and an 3D animator to improve player models and animations
  71.
  72. Aryan - Today at 21:43
  73. And before Battle Royale was the main game to play these days. It was MOBAs before and League of Legends was on top of that.
  74.
  75. friend - Today at 21:43
  76. I don't know if any of you is one
  77. Yes that's what I am saying
  78. This type of game you guys have is unique
  79. A lot of people are into football, but personally I don't like FIFA or all the other football games
  80. The fact that I have absolute control over one character is what i wanted
  81. I found your game randomly through the Steam discovery queue
  82. I give any game a chance
  83. No matter how good or bad the trailer is
  84. for me gameplay is most important above graphics and anything else
  85. the core mechanic of the game
  86. is what makes the game fun
  87. but I'm 24 years old and played games from the age of 3, grew up with nes and ps1
  88. but the problem is not everyone thinks the game
  89. I showed this game to some of my younger friends
  90. and what put them off was the "graphics"
  91. and the animations
  92. A lot of them tried playing and the ones that didn't mind it
  93. What put them off was the fact that they didn't know what they were doing
  94. And joined a random game and were dominated by a veteran player
  95. or their team mates were trolling
  96. and they had a bad first experience
  97. quitting the game right after one, two games play
  98. played*
  99. A lot of games when you go in first time forces you into a tutorial with clear instructions on what to do
  100. I think your tutorial is fine
  101. but not for the masses and lazy people
  102. You have all the information on the screen of what to do
  103. but a lot of people just jump straight into a game and don't understand it
  104. showing examples like having a bot do the kick and making the player forced to repeat it
  105. having targets to shoot at
  106. etcv
  107. You get the point
  108. What I am saying is the first player experience is very important
  109. Any product/video/game the first few hours is the most important
  110. It can keep the player hooked
  111. or scare them away
  112. So that would be my sugestion, overhauling the start of the game for new players
  113. forcing them to learn the game properly
  114. than allow them to join other games
  115. that way it doesn't ruin experience for others and themself
  116. and having a cosmetic choice that can let people support the game financially and the development of the game
  117. Sorry for wasting so much of your time
  118. Just wanted to give my 2 cents on the game
  119. because I really enjoyed playing it so far
  120. and I am excited to be part of a team and play
  121. and want the game to continue
  122. and get more players in
  123.
  124. Aryan - Today at 21:50
  125. No it's good to have this aspect from a new player and how he found the game and what he thinks of it now. We can definitely use this. So thanks for that!
