"AWays coming up with downsides, never solutions. Not much of an ideas-man are you, Fitzy? Thank goodness for ol' Jack and his brains," he said, praising himself. "Here's what we do, mate. We'll turn this little boat here right over, aye? Then we walk under the water with it, keeping it over our heads with a pocket of air for us to breathe."

The plan had leaped to his mind fullblown. It was strange, almost like he had somehow thought it all through at some point before.

"That is the stupidest idea I have ever heard," Fitzwilliam declared. "It will never work."

"No, it really will," Jack said, getting a strange look on his face. "Trust me ... I think I've done it before. Or maybe after. Some other time. I've definitely done it. Somewhen."
