Rowan Atkinson returns to the role of the accidental secret agent who doesn't know fear or danger in the comedy spy-thriller Johnny English Reborn. You go to a theater knowing that the first movie was really good and have really high expectations about the second movie. If you are these kind of people, lower your expectations. The movie is not that good, the first one is hilarious. The second one, you laugh in some parts, but the story is not as good (structure) as the first one. I am not saying it is bad, what I am saying is that is doesn't compare to the first movie. There is no sequence between the movies, but there are no time line errors, which is very good. Some people might think the second movie is better because the have not seen the first one, this can happen, because in the theater where I saw the movie, almost no one had seen the first movie and almost everyone enjoyed it very much. The cinema was filled with laughter. Another thing that bothered me was that because I live in Mexico, only dubbed British movies exist, so it was poorly done and made the movie more confusing; nevertheless, it is a very funny movie, but not as good as the first one. If you haven't seen the first one, I recommend you to see it later.
This being a compromise film chosen after Contagion wasn't showing, I've got to say it was a very easy compromise to make once the film began. Despite some earlier reviews claiming there were only a few LOL moments, it was in fact quite the opposite, I was crying with laughter every 3 minutes and since my laughter is the continuous type I'm glad I went to the late night showing! Very family suited or just a fun film for all age ranges (0-100):') I was slightly confused on the Toshiba thing, but that is all I have to complain about. If you're depressed, go watch it. Worked for me :D (ps, there are some horror elements (I mean the hoover lady, gave me nightmares!)
Atkinson's fans are likely to rejoice as the comedian twists his face and body to and fro, but the rest of us will not be recruited.
