  2. So like I mentioned in the midweek channel, I’m reaching out to everyone to get their thoughts and opinions on a variety of things. Before I get to the more targeted questions, is there anything you want to get off your chest about your own play, the team, the raid, the people, the game, anything?

  5. I mean theres probably quite a few things, but the major frustration for me is the lack of improvement after prog has ended and what feels like ramming our heads into walls the past couple weeks. I know Ive made mistakes the past couple weeks that ive owned up to pretty quickly, but the endless pulls of no one taking ownership of and not finding solutions to problems is a big issue. It felt especially bad when I suggested we revert back to calling the timing of dunks to avoid the random knockoff deaths and it got shut down immediately and dismissed as not an issue. Seemed like the majority of the end of tier meeting was focused around improvements on this exact thing for next tier along with personal play improvements and neither have seemed to go anywhere. It almost feels the exact opposite since that point.

  8. I think that’s a fair assessment, especially of the last few weeks

  11. You’ve been with the team for longer than most, so I’m curious about how the team now compares to the past in your opinion

  14. I think generally we have made pretty good improvements during prog as a raid team, it does feel like we stepped up from EP/NY aside from a few bosses of prog as a group. I do not share that same opinion of several individuals though, and I feel it has heavily hampered our prog at times
  15. I think the prep work and strategy discussion was tenfold better than previous tiers, excecution and understanding of that prep work was not consistent among everybody, and it feels as though some individuals just have the channels muted or dont read them and just repost the things that everyone is discussing already consistently
  16. the latter part of that sentence may just be a pet peeve of mine though
  17. rereading it

  20. I think it seems to be accurate

  23. How have you felt the officers have done handling things? Do you think there are things that I/we should be handling differently that would be beneficial to the raid?
  24.
  25. Schlimmy — Today at 4:43 PM
  26. hmm, tough one - I think you guys have done pretty well generally, i think there's a few decisions that I have disagreed with at some points, but its just differences in handling. Personally I think that the rotations are good, but I do feel sometimes that we have gone too long with them or sometimes it feels like we have given people extra chances/time just to favor equal playtime over good prog. I personally feel that prog time is earned, not given, but I know that's been a conflict in mentality between me and the guild since I've gotten here, but that's something I've compromised in order to be part of a community i enjoy. I know there's a lot going on in terms of improvement behind the scenes that the raiders don't see (the beef/eluni/officers channel) so this one feels a bit hard for me to answer i guess since i don't see much of that. I know in the past we had the tracking sheet for wipes that didn't go over so well it seemed and i'm sure you guys still have something on the back end, it just seems pretty hard to let the players under-performing know that they are if they cant realize it themselves. I guess I don't want to go too far into calling someone out, but there was major concerns on Orin throughout his trial, and from the outside perspective its felt to be worse this tier and a consistent issue. There has been a few others in my mind as well, but Orin has been one to stick out like a sore thumb. It's the same reason i held such a high standard when reviewing xoff as a trial the first time around is because it was something I was legit worried about. We are a pretty good 2 night guild, I think we can hold ourselves to a high standard. On a side note, i know we have always done rolls for loot in the past, but maybe would be beneficial to actually do voting on token items like weapons/trinkets when they go up for rolls since they are largely impactful compared to other armor pieces.

  29. so
  30. you actually touched on a lot of stuff that we have already identified and will be working towards
  31. The wipe spreadsheet is going to come back, and we had every intention of managing the high-value items via voting rather than rolls, just didn't remember to do it as often as we wanted to, so its something that we're going to be looking to do more proactively next tier
  32. The rotations and prog spots earned vs given is a hard thing to really find a balance, and something that we are still trying to figure out the best ways to handle
  33.
  34. Schlimmy — Today at 4:49 PM
  35. Yeah, I mean i talk quite often with both jake and pao, so i imagine some of my concerns have been relayed that way
  36.
  37. Babylonius — Today at 4:49 PM
  38. I believe so
  39.
  40. Schlimmy — Today at 4:51 PM
  41. And yeah i get its tough to balance because its definitely two different mottos on how to handle it, I guess the tough thing for me is when we commit to a kill comp and someone is heavily struggling but we just power through to finish it out. The consistent deaths or mistakes on mechanics make it tough for me to enjoy raiding at points because its such a struggle to sit there watching the same person failing over and over.
  42. Losing 1-2 brezzes in p1-p2 of every fight should be downright embarassing to most people. I get the one off death or throw happens occasionally, hell i did it several times in the past two reclears, but its been wayyyyy too prevalent
  43.
  44. Babylonius — Today at 4:52 PM
  45. Yeah, switching people out of a kill comp is probably something we need to be more proactive on
  46.
  47. Schlimmy — Today at 4:55 PM
  48. I think at the end of the day, I'm happy with where we ended up, but i feel that a few people heavily held us back this tier and I probably wouldnt feel so heavily jaded by the equal playtime thing if we were not having the same consistent player issues. But the last two weeks were straight up embarassing. first reclears or not
  49.
  50. Babylonius — Today at 4:56 PM
  51. I agree
  52.
  53. Babylonius — Today at 5:05 PM
  54. I think you have a good perspective as someone who has been with the team for so long
  55.
  56. Babylonius — Today at 5:29 PM
  57. How have you felt about working with Beef this tier?
  58.
  59. Schlimmy — Today at 5:31 PM
  60. i think we couldve done a bit better working together, probably partly my fault too as i didnt reach out when i could just because i got busy doing other things. I think when I did provide him with feedback he took it really well and when i gave him things like my combust timings and such it helped him quite a bit
  61. it does seem like he needs some pushing in that sense sometimes to optimize stuff, but its partially understandable because the game is in such a shit spot right now that even i have been raid logging lately
  62. this is the first time since i came back to the game that has happened
  63.
  64. Babylonius — Today at 5:32 PM
  65. yeah, I think a lot of people have been feeling that way
  66.
  67. Babylonius — Today at 5:42 PM
  68. Its one of the things that I think i've completely dropped the ball in trying to help manage, even with myself. Im aiming to be more proactive with trying to increase engagement than I have been this tier
