  3. First decide on if you will be droppshipping or creating your own brand.

  5. If you are dropshipping, then you must start off by finding the cheapest suppliers. The best sites I have come across for this are DHGate, Taobao, Etsy, or even Ebay. These are both cheap, ship worldwide, and provide good quality material. Next is to choose how you will be pricing your products for sale. DHGate, Taobao, and Etsy or Ebay prices are usually replica items, and are well under the prices of the authentic items. An example is the cost to purchase Yeezy’s from DHGate is between $30-$60, while the retail price is $220, and resale price is $800+. This means you can set your prices between $100-$200 per shoe (remember they’re replicas, don’t try to sell them and write them off as authentic or your customers will be very angry if they notice any missing details). Right there you have a 100% - 200% profit margin!

  7. If you’re making your own brand, you first have to pick what kind of clothing you will be doing. T-shirts, hoodies, accessories, etc. Make your designs to fit each material. To make my designs, I used Gravit and Photoshop. Next get template clothing online to fit your designs onto the item however you see fit. After you create your designs, you have two options. Either use an online service such and Printful or CustomInk, or go to a local printing shop that specializes in screen printing or digital printing. These places are better for bulk orders while the online services are better for single orders.

  9. After you have your product designs ready, it is time for marketing. Many people immediately think of Shopify or Ebay. Shopify I don’t like because they have a monthly fee. Ebay is okay to use, although I prefer to have a customizable website. It make your store look much more professional. I recommend using the online store host called StorEnvy. This site is useful for MANY reasons. First of all they have their own marketplace and let you have your own storefront. This means instead of only one, you now have two outlets to make sales. The marketplace is not customizable, but the storefront is. Another very cool feature is that the marketing team of StorEnvy will actually market your products for you, free of charge. They use google ads and store sales to market your items, which will attract many more sales. The only thing they do charge is a commission for finding customers for your store, which is very minimal anyways. StorEnvy also supports two payment services. They support PayPal and Stripe. Luckily since you are selling physical items, you do not have to worry about customers charging back since you will be able to provide PayPal and Stripe with the tracking numbers for your products. Lastly, it’s not necessary but it will help your sales, I recommend (if you don’t already have one) buying a large social media account, whether it’s Instagram, Snapchat, Twitter, etc. This way you are able to further market your clothing and generate more sales!
