Top 5 Most Wanted New Typings for Pokemon USUM

We all know there are 18 Pokemon typings can be seen in a number of different combinations. However, despite there now being over 800
Pokemon, we have not seen all the possible type combinations used.

With the upcoming USUM games, we may see these new type combinations as pokemon may get new forms, mega evolutions may even come back or there could possibly be new pokemon altogether!

So I wanted to find out which new type combinations are most wanted. I like to be more fact based and scientific on my channel, so rather than just spouting my opinions, I took to Twitter to get a better understanding of what most people want to see! I will present to you the findings of this experiment in this video!

Electric Dark

Just the sound of it is very cool! Defensively it would have a number of common weaknesses, but offensively it would have many options. In terms of how this could come about, Mega Luxray would fit the bill if Mega Evolutions come back to USUM. Would be incredible with a very strong Crunch attack! Alternatively, an Alolan form. Or maybe a new Pokemon altogether?

Ghost Normal

Personally the typing I want to see most because I love ghost types. When I first saw Mimikyu, I thought it might be this typing. Why would I want it so much? Only 1 weakness and 3 immunities NTM resistances. But not only that, Currently only Tyranitar and Bisharp would resist its dual STABs! So strong! Banette would fit the bill, maybe Alolan form? But unlikely since it has a Mega. Probably will have to wait for new pokemon for this one...

Dark Fairy

So. Edgy. Mostly from a design point of view. Offensively fantastic also with only Mawile, Klefki and Magearna resisting its STAB attacks. Could be a special or physical attacker and be fantastic. Mega Absol would have been perfect for this, but instead maybe Liepard/Zoroark?

Fire Ice

Did a poll with certain typings already included, but this was by far the most suggested typing not icluded in the poll, for a number of reasons. The main one is that people want to see how it might be implemented. Contradictory types, how do they fit together? Very weak defensively, but incredible offensive typing. Water/Fire resist, though with Freeze Dry becomes only fire, but hits so many things super effectively!

Bug Dragon

Interesting and slightly surprising that this came number 1. Again, a bit of a paradox as bugs are generally small squishy things, and dragons are huge monstrous beasts, so would be very interesting to see a combination. Decent defensively, and could be good offensively with the right coverage. But I think there is 1 main reason this came 1st: FLYGON STILL HAS NO MEGA! So many people want to see Flygon get this recognition that it has become a meme. Will this happen? It would be nice fan service if it did. An Alolan form could work equally well. Alternatively, Yanmega may steal this typing from Flygon, it would also make sense! Either way, it would be awesome to see this typing come into play!
