******** CHAPTER 3


Kyle and BodaP walked in silence when they finally made it downtown. Kyle texted the group chat telling them to meet them at iHop.

"Hi guys! Welcome to iHop!" The hostess, Rosko said "Feel free to sit down whereever you want." BodaP chose a table big enough where everyone would fit in the corner of the restaurant.

"Hey Gay Kyle, what are you gonna order?" BodaP questioned as he looked up from his menu.

Kyle looking up at him before looking back down at his menu, replied, "I'm not sure yet, you?"

"Err, probably a cheeseburger with fries and a milkshake!" BodaP replied with a smile

"Oooh sounds yummy *like you*" Kyle muttered under his breath. "I'll probably get the same minus the milkshake"

"Hi, welcome to iHop I'm your waiter Jaffa. What can I get you two?" The waiter said starting at BodaP.

This triggered a jealousy in Kyle because he got up from his seat across from BodaP and sat next to him and stared at the waiter.

"Yeah, we're ready to order" Kyle said while reaching his arm around and grabbing BodaP's waist. Confused, Jaffa shook his head and directed his attention to BodaP.

"Hello beautiful, I'm Jaffa and I'll be your waiter today, what can I get for you?" He said with a smile.

"Uh, I'll have a cheeseburger, fries and a cookies and cream milkshake" BodaP said while blushing. Jaffa smiled and took his order when he looked at Kyle.

"You?"

"I'll have the same minus the milkshake and no cheese on the burger, I'm lactose intolerant and I get the shits when I have dairy." Kyle replied

"Will that be all for today?" Jaffa questioned while looking at BodaP

Kyle interrupted and said, “We have 5 other friends coming along.” Jaffa nodded and left. Soon after, Donut, Seb, May, Wytai and Madi all arrived.

“Hey Kyle, Hey BodaP,” Donut and Seb said while taking their seats. May waved at the two boys while getting her phone out.

“Hey Kyle,” Madi said as she took her seat directly in front of him while ignoring BodaP. Annoyed, Kyle turned to BodaP who was focused on a game on his phone when Jaffa came by to take everyone’s order.

“…and lastly, here is your meal, beautiful.” Jaffa said while winking at BodaP. Everyone else seemed to have ignored the comment and started eating their food except for Madi who barely touched her food. Jaffa’s comment set something off in Kyle and made him grab BodaP’s waist in jealousy again, while looking straight into Jaffa’s eyes as if he were challenging him. Donut and Wytai both looked at Kyle with furrowed eyebrows and continued eating their food. Jaffa finally left and Kyle let go of BodaP’s waist to look at BodaP’s face which was bright red.

“Kyle, do you and BodaP want to stay the night at Wytai’s with us?” Seb questioned.

Looking down at his own crotch, Kyle asked BodaP, “Do you want to?”

“Uh, I can’t.” BodaP said looking slightly guilty. Kyle nodded and looked at Seb.
“I guess I’m not going then.” Donut and May started snickering and Seb had a curious face as if he knew what was going on.

“No Kyle, you go. I can’t go because I have to study for my test on Monday and there’s church in the morning” BodaP said

“No, I’ll help you study” Kyle whispered

“Kyle. Go” BodaP said while looking Kyle in the eyes. As if he were hypnotized in his puppy like eyes, Kyle obeyed.

“Sure, I’ll go” Kyle mumbled.

Jaffa came with separate bills when he stopped at BodaP and said, “this one is on the house beautiful.”

“No, it’s okay. I’ll pay for both of our bills.” Kyle said while taking out a 20 and 5. “Keep the change ya filthy animal” Kyle murmured while grabbing his backpack and pulling BodaP out of their chairs.

“So Kyle, do you wanna hang out after school Monday?” Madi questioned walking up beside him.

**Kyle’s Thoughts**

Her eyes weren’t the right type brown
Her hair wasn’t the right shade of black
She wasn’t the right height
She wasn’t BodaP

“Sure, why not?” Kyle said feeling guilty.

“Great!” She said, “how about we meet up at the park and go from there?”

Kyle nodded and turned around to see where BodaP was. He saw him laughing at a joke that Seb said and it made his jealousy boil.

“Guys do you want to do something before BodaP and the girls leave?” Donut questioned.

“Yeah! We should swing at the swingsets by the park!” Wytai said with eagerness pulling Donut’s hand down the street. Kyle waited for BodaP to catch up and continued walking.

“Kyle! Push me!” BodaP yelled excitedly while gayly running towards the swings. He was giggling and that put joy in Kyle’s face.

“Kyle do you have earphones?” BodaP questioned while looking at the view from the top of the hill on the swing.

“Yeah, I do” Kyle said tearfully. “This is so perfect. I’m pushing the love of my life on the swing with a perfect sunset and a perfect view.” Kyle thought to himself. He pulled his earphones out from his pockets and handed them to BodaP. BodaP gave one earbud to Kyle and went on playing ‘You Don’t Know You’re Beautiful’ by One Direction. Kyle grabbed BodaP by the shoulder and pulled him down to the grass where they both listened with their eyes closed as the day ended; wanting this moment to last forever.
