  1. #1. Ultraman One (dark, EVA-inspired)
  2. Shinnosuke "Shin" Hikari is the least likely person you'd suspect of being a hero. He's withdrawn, sarcastic, pessimistic and kind of a pervert. But in a world where giant monster attacks are becoming more frequent and directed, it's hard not to be a little cynical. When the ANGEL (Advanced National Guardian ELite) defence team struggles to keep up, they turn to the mysterious undeground thinktank SIN (Secret Intelligence Network) to create a weapon that can beat back the invading monsters. And thus does Shinnosuke find himself roped by his father Natsumi into a world of underground conspiracy, advanced technology and a bizzare discovery at a Siberian crash site.
  3.
  4. Many subjects have tried to bond with the artificial being known only as "Ultra Unit One". All have died horribly. So when Shin survives with an anticlimatic lack of exploding head, the experiment is written off as a failure. But when a new breed of monster surfaces, one that defies all known laws and expectations, Ultra Unit One finally chooses Shin to become the hero - or weapon? - that Mankind needs. A giant of light... Ultraman One!
  5.
  6. But this is not merely good vs. evil. The Japanese Government, not even knowing SIN exists, views Ultraman's appearance with suspicion and occasional hostility. The public demand answers and get none, breeding distrust amongst Japan's own people. Shin has to balance being a hero who could die at any moment with what he can barely call a social life and his fixation with scantily-clad pop idols. Things get weirder when more Ultramen arrive to deal with the crisis. And a hidden plot to bring about doomsday from forces supernatural and human has Shin questioning what it means to be a hero and Ultra Unit One questioning it's own nature...

  8. #2. Ultraman Dragos (Tiga/Dyna style, possibly with a kaiju instead of an Ultra)
  9. Ryuuga Kamiya is a proud member of the Paranormal Science Resarch division of MONS (Mobilized Operations for National Security). This group, formed by the United Nations many years ago, is studying not only the world's giant monsters, but the mysterious "Gaia Energy" that connects all living things. A worrying trend has begun - something dark is happening to the Gaia Energy of Earth, and monsters that were once peaceful have begun to turn agressive and destructive. And it's up to MONS to find a way to stop it.
  10.
  11. What should have been a routine trip to study the ancient Ruins of Light takes a shocking turn when a monster attacks the science party - and the temple! By circumstance, Ryuuga finds himself becoming bonded to an ancient and msterious entity of light named Dragos, who recognises Ryuuga's heroism and desire to aid humanity. But as Ryuuga and Dragos battle to protect mankind from monsters, a dark history begins to unfold as ancient cosmic beings called the Lords begin to rear their heads. Ryuuga and his allies will soon find themselves confronting an age-old plot to destroy mankind, the secret to Gaia Energy and the burning revenge Dragos desires upon those who betrayed him...

  13. #3. Ultraman Knight (modern style, monster-collecting)
  14. Yuuki Kishimoto is the world's unluckiest man. He can barely hold a job, a girlfriend or a social life, and even his favourite hobby, the monster-battling game Kenjuu, loves to screw him over. When he gets his hands on a seemingly Ultra-Rare Kenjuu, he thinks this may finally be a sign things are looking up. But little does anyone know that the collectable creatures are, in fact, the vanguard for an invasion by the Kiryuu-Seijin - interdimensional shapeshifters with an eye on subjugating Earth! When the Kenjuu begin to awaken and attack, overwhelming the local monster attack team, Yuuki is suddenly contacted by his own toy - a being called Ultraman Knight.
  15.
  16. Knight offers to bond with Yuuki in order to protect his home town and the people he cares for, and Yuuki doesn't hesitate to say yes. He's not doing anything on Saturdays, anyway. And thus does Ultraman Knight rise to protect humanity, taming the Kenjuu when he can and using them as weapons against those who would do harm to mankind. Things get complicated, though, when the public starts spreading nasty rumours, the military aren't on your side, another Ultraman suddenly shoes up and you might be late for a job interview. And the Kiryuu-Seijin themselves may be the heralds of something far worse...
