Getting Something Out of My Chest

 Atla-Cuauhtli says, "Well, get something off my chest."
 Kamui Mizuchi asks, "Should I leave, then?"
 Paladin says, "... Not sure."
 Atla-Cuauhtli says, "You can stay if you want."
 Paladin says, "Well, then speak."
 Ezperanza says, "U-Um..."
 Ezperanza asks, "This a bad time?"
 Paladin says, "Uhm? No."
 Paladin asks, "What is it, child?"
Ezperanza would quietly approach the center of the church, and looked around. It looked much different than what was around the city.

Much was happening in a short time, several things around Agartha seemed off-axis, and it bothered Atla, so he was there, in the church, in front of the Paladin to get this off his chest.

He rose from the pews of the church and went toward the window in the background, where light reflected through the colored window, creating fantastic lights. Atla then looked at the statues for a few seconds and turned to Paladin.

"Have you noticed how things seem to be very wrong lately? Nonsense wars, betrayals of our own brothers, tears shed..."

The Archer continued with his eyes focused, the colored lights reflecting in his eyes, revealing that he was really saying what was inside his heart.

"First this joint, this creation of the Coallition, they disarmed Cruxati, every citizen of that city is a warrior, and yet they forbade them to fight..."

Atla then placed her right hand on his chest, toward the heart, he squeezed his clothes tightly as if it really hurt.

"After Noah betrayed Ezmara, one hour I was watching him playing with his younger sister in Gehenna Square, and another time he was fighting with Aetherius, that ended his death, I was in the moment that Adsila told the news to Solace, imagine how she was? A 7-year-old child whose only brother was a safe home... "

He then began to look down, it was possible to see some tears coming out of his eyes. Renata, the spirit of Atla, watched all this through the ethereal plane.

"And then Hatsune claimed responsability for a little Magi child who did not know how to use his powers and ended up killing civilians in an accident, she was tryint to save the kid..."

His eyes still watering, he turned his gaze to Paladin.

"I do not know what else to do, many things are wrong, my spirit cries out for justice, and my ancestors cry out for honor, I have trained so much my mind and spirit, and yet it seems to be rotting, the world around me seems to be falling, and I do not know if I have the strength to get up. "

As Esper walked in on the speech she felt a sense of intense worry. A strong worry, as she had kept up with the news. Something was indeed wrong. People keep losing their way. It was scary. Very Scary. This made her promptly attempt to run over to the man. She tripped, Once. Her cloak fell off, and revealed a tannish skin, and her gray hair and facial features betrayed her as Half-Sarradian.

She gave the man a big hug. She would not care if she had to hug his leg, she gave him a bear hug, like she had done with her father. She felt the need to attempt to pat him as well, while giving said hug. A moment passed, and afterwards she spoke.

"Esper says it will be okay. Small things matter too, and even if everything is falling apart, you need to look at what goes right in life! Even if you feel down on the ground, be happy it is the ground and not fertilizer you fell in! I know, I've fallen down in some before."

She would pause, letting go. Esper attempted to reassure the man further, by presenting some candies. There were many types, and each was shaped like a tiny human. She took one and attempted to raise it to their lips.

"See these? I am very happy that I got these today, even after I ran into Tanka, and how he said he hated Papa. If I am able to be happy that my family wasn't killed today, I'm sure you can be happier too!"

Kamui just looked as Ezperanza and Atla, tired as he leaned up against the Paladin. "Well isn't he pessimistic."

With that, he shook his head in hypocritical disappointment.

The Paladin looked as Atla spoke out his heart to him. He leaned slightly forwards, both hands landing upon the desk in front of him. His thumb presses against the desk, as all fingers stay on top of it. He seems to think as Atla spoke and spoke...

And upon Ezperanza's efforts, he smiled faintly, getting the helmet out of his head. The Paladin looked straight into the girl, and then straight at Atla. He seemed to be so lost, so desperate, but hopefully the warm hug of a child could remind him of what the Paladin seemed to think he needed to be reminded of.

The Paladin nodded towards the girl, before gesturing as to demonstrate her. "You need to understand that not everything that you said was a bad thing." He nodded, as if trying to agree with himself.

"Solace will need to grow maturity, and this will help. She will understand the problems of falling to sin, and what a corrupt mind can do to someone." And as such, he gestured towards the square. "Hatsune claimed responsibility because Acahualli did not do it on purpose. It's true, many lives were claimed, but I would not lash a kid."

He smiled, before looking back to the kid. "You do have to understand that you are the only part that can help yourself. You have trained your mind and spirit, and you should use it to enhance yourself. You have to make effort, and you know what I see in all these acts that you've said?"

"They have all been done by people trying to change the world for the best. If you go out there and do wrong, I'll be forced to put a stop to you. However, if you go out there and do right, you'll be rewarded with the world like you want it to be."

He nodded once again. "The world is rotting, you say. But you have no idea how much of a change you can make if you don't try."

With the child's funny embrace and words, Atla smiled slightly, not sure how she got there but somehow it helped. His gaze then turned to Paladin again.

"But I still feel that people are forgetting the simplest things, they seem to not know why we are here first, but I think you are right. Certainly I want to change the world, but change it for the better for my people... "

Atla's smile increased.

"And what a curse, I thought you were a priest, haha, by the way, I guess you never said your real name to me, I only know you as Paladin."

In the spiritual world another smile rose, Renata smiled in the ethereal world, she realized that Atla was growing, and that he would be close to becoming worthy of the mantle.

Atla-Cuauhtli asks, "Yeah i'm a okay, thank you for the hug and words, what's your name?"
 Kamui Mizuchi says, "..Oh, Ezperanza."
 Ezperanza exclaims, "I'm Esper, Ezperanza is my full name!"
 Kamui Mizuchi says, "You were reciting eulogies in the shrine."
 Ezperanza exclaims, "I was looking for people who responded to my letters!"
 Ezperanza says, "I was Mister! I never, ever want to forget the people who helped me get where I am."
 Atla-Cuauhtli says, "Uhm, i am Atla, and Atla-Cuauhtli is my full name, glad yo meet you."
 Ezperanza exclaims, "Nice to meet you too Atla!"
