“It prefers heat?” Aleta asked.
“We believe so,” Gagnon said. “Its life signs are strongest and most steady when the atmosphere inside the chamber is hot and humid.”
“Is it native to a tropical environment?” Tamar asked.
“Perhaps,” Gagnon said, “but based on the experiments we’ve conducted so far, I believe the specimen could survive in almost any environment—including the vacuum of space.”
