Captain Falcon was an unlockable character in the first Smash Bros game. Falcon had the fastest dash speed in the game and a strong combo game with endless up air chains that can end with strong combo finishers like up b and down air .forward throw up smash could combo start due to the low knockback on them making Falcon able to 0-death a good majority of the cast.However, Falcon had very limited out of shield options and had one of the worst recoveries in the game making it easy to edgeguard him.
