[15:05] Svengalf Sandsker says, "Alright, just waiting for five more minutes in case there are any late joiners."
[15:05] Hina Lam exclaims, "That sounds good!"
[15:06] Svengalf Sandsker says, "One day I will be able to use the interphones to send louder announcements, hehe"
[15:06] Sonya Lange says, "Um, not too late am I? There was a fight sorry."
[15:06] Svengalf Sandsker asks, "Hello ! Are you looking for the medical classes?"
[15:06] Sonya Lange nods.

[15:07] Svengalf Sandsker says, "You're still in time ! We are just wainting 3 more minutes for any later comers."
[15:09] Svengalf Sandsker says, "I was expecting more people to tonight's class, but the numbers are exceeding my expectations too"

[15:09] Svengalf Sandsker asks, "Where are you both from ?"
[15:09] Sonya Lange says, "Aphros."
[15:10] Svengalf Sandsker glances towards Cecil and Sonya.

[15:10] Svengalf Sandsker asks, "Oh Aphros ? Quite a walk until the Frontier. I suppose some whispers have reached there ?"
[15:10] Svengalf Sandsker chuckles, amused.

[15:10] She'd left Eivor behind for the time being so she could take this class. The Kitsune's prowess was quite weak, rendering her in a state of uselessness. How could she protect those she found endearing who were friends?

Hina rests herself against the wall then, idly waiting for the class to start. However, as the harsh desert sun beats down along the Kitsune's injury riddled flesh, she laughs nervously, holding out her arms towards Svengalf to address him.

"Say.. Sven, do you uh.. need a practice dummy to work on?" She steps forward, displaying her injuries to the lapine man.

Deep cuts, though nothing that would leave permanent scarring, spread across every visible portion of her skin along with marks of what could only be described as strikes of lighting.

"Because.." She glances down at her arms, then towards her legs. "..I could use some help with these, if so." Hina chuckles. She didn't mind the injuries one bit, as she knew the reasoning behind them were done out of concern for her own safety, so she isn't upset by their presence.

[15:12] Svengalf Sandsker says, "I am glad to hear then ! Hopefully, these classes may satisfy your curiosity."
[15:12] Svengalf Sandsker observes back Hina, tilting his head.

[15:12] Svengalf Sandsker asks, "Today, we won't do any practice altough. But I can treat you after, alright ?"
[15:12] Hina Lam says, "Alright, thank you! "
[15:14] Svengalf Sandsker exclaims, "Let's step into the class. In ranks !"
[15:15] Hina Lam excitedly follows in tow to the class!

[15:15] Sonya Lange says, "Wow, it's big down here."
[15:15] Svengalf Sandsker exclaims, "Sorry sorry I am back !"
[15:15] Rests his head on the table, he is getting bored, looks around but he doubts anybody is down to gamble some coins.

"I hope we can learn some first aid."

[15:15] Acero exclaims, "Oh welcome!!"

[15:18] Svengalf Sandsker unties his cloak, placing it on top of a cabinet.

[15:18] The lapine smiles to the people present, before clearing his throat :

"Greetings everyone, and welcome aboard ! As stated in my announcement, I will be teaching you the basics fundamentals of medicine split in three classes.
Today, we are going to review first the rules of medecine, then we will talk about the general anatomy of a magi. These are the fundamentals before we dive into wounds and treatments.
But first of all, feel free to present yourselves, and why are you interested in learning medecine ?"

He glances over the class, awaiting for answers.

[15:24] The Kitsune follows, being led into a maze of an interior.

Through a door they go into the main classroom - the entrance was a tad plain, save for the walls adorned by various paintings.

Walking, and wincing some from her person being pained throughout, she'll opt to sit next to Regulus and observe the peoples within the classroom.

Each gave their own introductions, and Hina watched with close scrutiny, but once it was her turn? The little statured teenager rises, smiling, and introduces herself to the many.

"I'm Hina Lam, a child of my deity, Jiuweihu. I'm here to learn about medicine so I can help my friends when they're hurt since, uh.." She trails off for a moment, huffing out a giggle in the meantime.

"My magics aren't the best right now, so I thought this would do for now." Another giggle made, and the little Jiuweihu child sits back in her seat.

[15:29] The lapine smiles, satisfied to see the diversified cast, before continuing.
"I see that a lot of you feel this wish to protect and care for Life. It is a noble goal with its own strength and bravery. Even magi who are not versed in magic combat, can instead turn their magic into curative ones. It's with this different array of skills, that we can reach greatness together with our different strengths."

The lapine nod.

"Now that the presentations are done, let’s review the five essential rules of medicine."

Picking up some chalk, he writes the following: "1. Do no harm"
"First rule is : ‘’Do no harm’’. Despite being three words, their meaning is obviously crucial : if you are treating someone, you must not intentionally harm them and avoid causing it, if possible. There will be treatments which will be painful unfortunately, but you must do your best to avoid harming your patient."

In another line, he writes : "2. Consider the patient dear to you"
"When treating your patient, you must consider their situation and be kind to them. They are under your saving hands through their pain. Do not judge them, and be ready to assist them if they need or ask. "

Then a third line : "3. Prescribe regimens for the goodbeing of your patient"
"To the best of your ability and knowledge, you must ensure that your patient must recover swiftly and as healthy as possible in their comfort. That means, every time you prescribe something to them, it must be in the goal to improve their situation. Avoid worsening their situations by prescribing bad or harmful medicines."

Another line comes : "4. Do not intervene in unknowledgeable situations.". He hammers the chalk against the blackboard following this line.
"Considering most of you are likely novices in the subject, I will insist on this : if you don’t know how to handle a patient, do not intervene. You can try to do your best within your skills to stabilize or avoid a situation to worsen, but do not delay to seek a specialist if needed. I know that you will want to learn from experiences by practice, but sometimes it is also good to learn to watch from others."

He smiles, and he finally finishes with a fifth line : "5. Respect the secrecy of your patient."
"And finally, whenever you are treating someone, you must respect their secrecy. Under your care, often your patient will be exposed. It takes some courage for some to reveal themselves to someone when they are needing assistance. So please : do not break this trust by spreading their secrets and intimacy to unrelated people, especially if they request to keep it within yourselves."

Shaking his hands, he observes the class.
"Any question?"

[15:41] Five essential rules of medicinal practice. The Kitsune slowly nods, paying her utmost attention to Svengalf as he speaks on the principles of the art of medicine.

First rule: Do no harm.

For Hina, that was quite easy. Despite her anger issues towards certain individuals, like Eivor, she had immense patience. Do not harm. A dip of her head is had, as if agreeing to the statement. Her eyes continue scanning the whiteboard.

Second rule: Consider the patient dear to you.

She smiles, acknowledging that those closest to her, even if they had done her harm, meant the world to the Kitsune. Kindness stood well within her own principles, especially those of the Illuminated faith she was so familiar with in stories.

Third rule: Prescribe regimens for the goodbeing of your patient.

It was similar to the first rule, Hina thought, but enough said in its entirety.

Fourth rule: Do not intervene in unknowledgeable situations.

For her, she felt a tad distressed, for she wanted to pursue all situations, even when unfamiliar. It was just a notion she'd likely have to get used to - the girl was not an angel, or a god, in any manner.

Fifth rule: Respect the secrecy of your patient.

Easy enough, the girl thought. Quickly, Hina produces some crumbled up paper from her bag to write on, jotting down the notes of Sven's words on the board.

[15:53] The lapine frowns a bit.
"That will be breaking the first rule : ''Do no harm''."
There is a little pause, before elaborating further.
"While this ounds like a binary rule, there will be cases in which you will be causiing ''harm'' if it is the last ressort. But even then, you have tools and ways to minimize the harm done.

Once you get experienced, you will have to do surgery to treat some wounds. If done raw, this will be a painfull experience. You have for example lax essence to numb the pain away.
Another exemple would be amputations. In case a limb is unrecoverable and there is a disease spreading like necrosis that can't be cured, it is sometimes better to amputate the limb to avoid the spread to reach critical vital parts of your body.

In very short, the ''do no harm'' rule means : if you can avoid dealing pain on your patient, then do it. As for the case of a patient being agitated, there are multiple ways to restrain someone harmlessly that doesn't involve knocking them away with a fist."

He nods, before turning towards Pyxis.

"The injury, their body, their medical condition, mainly. At least unless they giive you consent to share it. Simply, do not go around gossipping they have a beauty mark hidden somewhere that shouldn't be seen."

He smiles, before elaborating.

"Now, for your example, this doesn't concern about medical secrecy. If your patient is about to commit a murder against someone, it would be well advised to inform the authorities of such, to avoid a life taken away.
To the example of theft, it depends. If they are stealing because they are famished, it would be reasonable to try helping them by offering food."
He holds one hand on his chest.

"Now, I know what you may be thinking. How about people like, you are treating with a patient who has wronged your town, or is even a witch or an ennemy of your nation. In this, I can not say this is an universal rule respected by everyone.
Life is an universal blessing available to all of us, as we all desire to Live another day to not succumb. But alas, as long as humanity is challenged by adversity, not everything will be perfect."

He sighs.

"I must warn you. Sometimes, doctoring may be ungratefull. Sometimes, people can exploit your kindness. But you must not lose hope and be desillusionned. You have in hands, the skill to save lives and assist others to repent and take joy in life. Doctoring is not only the ability to mend someone's body or circuits. It's also expressing your empathy and goodwill to make someone feel better."

He regains a smile, as the lotus mark on his cheek glows.

"Is everything clear?"

[15:54] Svengalf Sandsker says, "Also to add further on the fifth rule. Someone asking for treatment, expose themselves and entrust their body to your care. So please, do your best to respect their privacy and intimacy, do not break this trust. It takes some effort to reveal themselves to someone."
[15:56] Fauldr Hawkendove takes his notes, following along with what his instructor explained. Though when it came to that last bit, about how being a doctor can be 'ungrateful' at times, Fauldr would give a nod. He'd be sure to underline that within his notebook, though not that he'd ever forget. It was the thrill of curing the wounded, that delighted him the most.

[16:00] Once she finally finishes writing along the length of her page, the Kitsune turns it over. A new, blank side awaits her over-explained notes!

However, she hadn't heard Acero's question due to being wrapped up in her writings. Something about harming another and that would be breaking the first rule of the Medic principles.

Oh, goodness.

She's attentive in all ways, staring at Sven as he speaks, albeit still taking notes of important piece of information he'd spoken of, including the usage of a Lax Essence, the possibility of amputations, and Necrosis.

That was a word the girl was familiar with, thanks to Meadow having healed her some time ago.

However, as he continues, she does remain quiet, listening to each semblance of his speech until the Lapine Doctor is finished.

The universal rule towards witches and the like were not something the little Kitsune tolerated, and it is then at the mention her attention drops down towards Acero as a concerned expression laces her features. She doesn't linger on the subject, however.

The girl raises her hand then while speaking at the same time. "What exactly is necrosis, and how can you tell of it? What does it look like?" Hina glances back to Sven, writing utensil in hand, aiming to write down what he'll have to say on the subject.

[16:10] The lapine nods towards Acero and Regalus.
"You could Indeed say so. Avoid doing harm if possible. If not, try to do the least possible if it can help saving a life. Please do not do a head surgery for someone who has a migraine, when you have soothing reeds for example to ease the pain away."

He then turns back to Hina.
"Mh. This is more of a subject for the second class. But for the context, necrosis is an ''infection'' that kills the biological matter like flesh, skin and such. Like a disease, it can spread across the limb. And once something is dead, it is hard to bring it alive again. If it reaches for example a vital organ like the heart, you are done for. This is why sometimes, at least traditionnally in between non-magi, they amputate the necrotic limb to spread further and cause more damage.
There are some rare remedies that can heal such wounds, like White oil. But finding the ingredient for such is a miracle itself."

He smiles, before turning towards the class.

"Anything else?"

[16:12] Sonya had watched many medical treatments involving her risk-taking friends in Aphros, so she knew treatments could look pretty different.

"Um... I know some doctors use their magics a lot while some stick to more common techniques. What sort of... goes into that decision?"

(Sonya Lange)
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
[16:14] The lapine turns towards Sonya, smiling.

"It's about taking the right tool to the right situation. Yes, we are gifted with magic. Altough not everyone is. And even magi may have different attunements to aid in their medical treatments. More on this will be talked on the third lesson !"

He faces the class again.

"Anything else, before we jump on anatomy ?"

[16:14] Sonya Lange nods.

[16:16] Hina nods her head, understanding that her inquiry was a subject matter for his next class.

Her left hand slips down towards the lower half of her once injured leg, and the girl's eyes widen.

Necrosis was, by definition, a disease that spreads across flesh, slowly killing it away.

"I see," she answers to his reply. "Meadow helped uh.. clear some necrosis from my leg when a friend of mine injured me many moons ago, so-" The girl trails off, distracting herself by writing the definition of Necrosis by Sven's standards.

"I had to ask, since I experienced it from someone's ice magic," she adds, pausing to glance up at him. A smile is offered as a thank you for the answer. "I've never heard of white oil, though." That was something new - in fact, the entire subject matter of medicine was new to her! A lot of new things to discover about the art.

"Hmm," she taps the writing utensil at her chin, contemplating if she had any further questions. "..I don't think so, not right now." The Kitsune huffs out a soft laugh.

[16:20] The lapine nods towards Hina.

"If you can act fast and early enough, you could try to excise the infected bits immmediatly yes. But if it goes too far... that's a problem. There are also some other specific cases with magi, that we will see in their anatomy !"

Collapsing one panel of the blackboard, he reveals multiple schematics of the human body. Although each one has some variations.

"We will get first in order of depth, starting with the surface, then we will sweep in deeper."

The first has a skeletal structure inside, along with organs and blood vessels. A standard diagram common along with physicians.

"What you will most often encounter during your medical treatments will be treating wounds and illnesses a body is suffering. While a magi may have a stronger immune system and is more resilient in average, not everyone is magically gifted. And a blade can still cause injuries that need to be treated. The body is theshell in which we live in this material world. Without the body, we wouldn’t be physically present. So be sure to take care of your own body, and those of your patients."

He marks a pause, smiling, before continuing.

"While it looks biologically simple, the body is also filled with a vast working system of organs and other functions. I suggest during your free time to borrow a book that explains the whole body anatomy and list their organs and their functions. Many of them are written by non-magi, so you shouldn’t be struggling with it."

He then reveals another diagram. This time, there are no organs or bones. Rather, a vast array of lines and shapes inside the body.

"Now, another important anatomy of a magi, it’s the magical circuits. It’s a vast array of lines and nodes making a network together for the mana to flow in between. It is dormant, until someone becomes attuned to mana and awakens their magical gift.
It’s almost like the nervous system of a brain, but this one is for magic."

He hammers the square shapes on the diagram, located on the forehead, the throat and the chest.

"These nodes here represented as squares are convergence points. These are like the center of your circuits, where most of the mana flows through. Like how the heart is the central place of your bloodstream. There is one in the forehead, one in the throat, and one in the chest. Does anyone notice something special about the location of these convergence points ? Hint : How do you cast your spells ?"

[16:21] Svengalf Sandsker glances over the cell-phone transceiver, pouting with a giggle.

[16:21] Svengalf Sandsker exclaims, "No transceivers in class please !"
[16:21] Svengalf Sandsker says, "Just kidding."

[16:32] Hina pauses in her writing then, listening and spectating Sven pulling another board with unfamiliar diagrams that displayed the anatomy of the human body.

The first presented a skeletal structure, organs, and blood vessels. It wasn't like anything she'd seen before, truly. The notion of someone approaching the girl in the far future with internal injuries gave her a heart sinking to the pit of stomach feeling.

Would she ever be a successful medical magi of Eternia? Silently, Hina lets out a long drawn breath to help ease the anxious feelings overtaking her then. This was a lot for the girl to take in of information.

She wasn't a master of her magics - could she truly become a master of medicinal knowledge and capabilities? Only time would tell.

Though, she glances towards the next diagram Sven acknowledged that had to do with mana circuits, which causes Hina to perk up some.

Again, the girl quickly jots down those notes about mana circuits and the nature of a human body!

Like a nervous system of a brain, but for magic. An interesting way to put it - the girl smiles at the idea of it.

The hammering causes her to jump in place, but to review the most significant convergent points of circuits was important information that she retains.

"Do.. emotions count for casting magics?"

[16:53] The lapine smiles..

"To cover everyone's answers, you are indeed correct that these convergence points are indeed the different ways to cast spells.

For the chest, comes symbolic casting in the heart. Which is relying on feelings and emotions.

For the throat, it is wordcasting, which uses your vocal cords to amplify or cast spells through your voice.

For the forehead, more accurately the temple, it is runecasting, which is stored in the mind. This perticular of casting is employed often by artificiers when they write their runes which are sets of instructions and orders.

There is also a fourth way to cast, which is not shown in the diagram because it takes the whole circuit : visionary casting which goes through the eyes.
You may have heard that, the eyes are the mirror of the soul ? That's because our sight is deeply connected to the magic circuits. You can try it, by closing your eyes, and try to focus on moving oyur mana through the circuits, like when preparing spells. With this agitation, you may start to see these lines.

For the people that I have tended, this is why you often have seen me closing my eyes while having one hand on your forehead : it helps observing your circuits when diagnosing curses and alike, because your temple is a convergence point of your whole circuit system."

He scratches his neck.

"Any further questions ?"

[16:53] Sonya Lange says, "Oh, visionary... that makes a lot of sense with that... Sorry."
[16:53] Svengalf Sandsker exclaims, "No worries !"

[16:55] Svengalf Sandsker says, "Because we are talking about magi anatomy."
[16:55] Svengalf Sandsker says, "And knowing how magical circuits works is a fundamental."

[16:55] Umbra asks, "Hmm... So you are speaking of medicine for the magical circuits themselves?"
[16:56] Acero asks, "Can you make the flow through the mana circuits bigger?"
[16:56] Svengalf Sandsker says, "It is theorical knowledge for the second and third lesson yes."
[16:56] Svengalf Sandsker says, "Because on the second and third lesson, we will see how magic can damage circuits. And how to treat them."

[16:57] Svengalf Sandsker says, "But otherwise, yes. Knowing how circuits works, is as much important as knowing how your biological body works."

[16:57] Umbra asks, "Hmm... Isn't the core of you normal magi in and around the heart?"

[16:57] Svengalf Sandsker says, "As I have mentionned, when your circuits is not attuned to magic, it is dormant and disabled. So for non magi, their magical circuits are not active."
[16:58] Svengalf Sandsker says, "The heart, as the organ, ticks the organic body we have."
[16:58] Svengalf Sandsker says, "A non magi can live without their circuits activated after all."
[16:59] Umbra says, "Though they can't live without mana, and a lot of non-magi don't have enough mana being produced to utilize magic, thus dooming them to being non-magi."
[16:59] Svengalf Sandsker says, "We will talk about it on the third diagram."
[16:59] Umbra asks, "Though uh, that didn't answer. Is that where the core of magical circulation is, near the heart?"
[16:59] Svengalf Sandsker chuckles.

[17:01] Hina's interpretations thus far about the utilization of magics was through emotional casting.

A soft demeanor led to warmth.

Anger led to raging fires.

Tears meant the softest pyres cackled about, though it wasn't as intense as what negative emotions redeemed in pursuit of ability usage.

That much Hina could understand.

First, an index finger points towards her forehead, and she silently repeats Sven's words in her head. Then it motions down towards her throat, repeating that portion next. Lastly, it aims at her chest, and the Kitsune reiterates the Lapine's words for the last time.

Followed by those silent actions, she jots down those notes again for the umpteenth time. For now, the girl had no further questions. His take on visionary casting was truly different that what she was used to, or had known up until now.

[17:03] Regalus asks, "Do mana circuits differ from person to person? Perhaps depending on the magic they use or what spells they commonly cast? Those are why Mana Amnesia are sometimes necessary, yes?"
[17:03] Acero says, "Yeah I'm pretty sure mana circuits differ from person to person"
[17:03] Svengalf Sandsker says, "Some people may have more circuits than others yes."

Also, you may notice that some points are larger than the others. These ones are ‘’spirit keypoints’’. Usually, they are closed, but when they are open, it allows more connections to our essence, in which we will talk about it in a bit!"

He smiles, before raising one finger.

"Also on a small note, it is said there are at least 3000 lines in the magical circuits. When you cast a simple spell, like a spray of water, while it looks simple to feel your mana flowing in your arm, there are at least 100 lines in activation when you do such. A very complex system !"

Pushing the blackboard panel, he reveals a third diagram. This time, the human body has something nebulous and cloudy inside their body, except for one orb in the center of the chest, glowing. He hammers first on the orb.

"This is our soul. An incorporeal vessel from the Lifestream. Our source of life. It is what ticks us, and also what provides us the mana in our circuits. When we die, our soul is released and returns to the Lifestream to be cleansed and reborn anew.
Although. Rest reassured. The soul is protected by a divine barrier. It is very hard and difficult to alter it directly. But it is still possible for some rare magic to disturb it. But otherwise? The soul is usually untouchable unless there is another divine power in play. Like how souls can be claimed by Helheim if one sells their souls to Hel."

He then taps on the nebulous shroud around the orb.

"Altough, unlike the soul, this is our essence. While the soul is what sources us, the essence is our current ‘’lifeforce’’ in this world. It holds our experience and memories. Whenour soul is cleansed, it’s the essence that is purified to restart anew. It doesn’t have the same protection as the soul, but it acts as a buffer in between the circuits and the soul. Also, Holy, Faith, and Occult magic can affect someone’s essence, unlike the elemental magic can only reach up to the circuits."

Turning back to the class, he raises one eyebrow.

[17:09] Cecil Zafana asks, "Does it take a bargaining like the method they sold it to begin with? Or is it something requiring more force?"
[17:11] Svengalf Sandsker says, "My knowledge is limited on how witchery and Hel related magic is practiced in exactitude. Perhaps a follow of Athelios could provide you more insight on it."

"Ah, by the way- I should remind you of something. Maybe Sven has mentioned this already, but tainted souls should not be able to withstand Solais' aura. If you witness anyone behaving oddly when in the vicinity of the Tree of Hope, report immediately."

Hina writes the details, occasionally glancing up towards the diagram to burn the image of the display in her mind. If she were to be a successful medical mage, she'd have to remember these points, especially because she couldn't draw to save herself.

Three-thousand lines, or roads, of the mana circuits. The thought was difficult for Hina to envision. It was a map of its own special and unique system, akin to veins in the body, except these were more connected refined for magical usage rather than directly connected to the physical body of oneself.

Perhaps this knowledge could help the little teenager strengthen her own spell-casting abilities, as they were presently novice compared to other mages like Acero, or Eivor. Hina let out a short, though audible, sigh of disappointment.

Despite those thoughts pestering the teen, she finishes her notes and turns her head back up towards the board when the third diagram is revealed.

It was the soul. The very incorporeal vessel from the Lifestream. This subject intrigued her the most, especially at the mention of the Lifestream - the world's natural order, as she perceived it.

"Rare magics? Do you mean like what the necromancers and witches use?" She didn't inquire further of her curiosity. Nevertheless, Hina might just seek out Sven later for further questions regarding this topic as not to disturb the class with her need for knowledge!

[17:18] All that could be heard from Pyxis' desk was the frantic quick scratches of their pen as they tried to write down everything which was being said as it was being said. All of the information about mana circuits, the soul, the Lifestream, hel, witches-

Pyxis couldn't think of a situation outside of medicine where they might need to use this but she'd be damned if she didn't write it down just in case. A bit ironically the class became sidetracked by topics of witches and tainted souls yet instead of being frightened by the dire topic the girl quickly raised her own hand.

"I asked people earlier but they didn't know; why do witches and undead need essence to use their spells? Also do undead have souls? Also do demons have souls? Also are demons from Helheim? Also do golems have souls? Also-" The girl could have added a lot more alsos than that but she paused ultimately deciding to give her teacher a chance to answer at least some of her questions before completely overwhelming him.

"While the talk about these magics of a subject of the second class when we will be talking about physical and magical injuries, I do suppose I can already provide some clarification.

First, let's start with Holy and Occult magic. These two magics are like elemental attunements. But instead of being attuned to the circuits, they change your essence. It's two different extremes elements which embodies different ideals. Holy Magic embodies the goodwill and kindness of Angels, by the will to protect. Occult magic embodies the Sins and Vices of Demons, by the will to destroy. By this change of essence, their ''neutral'' mana shifts into one of these extreme spectrum. This is how Holy and Occult magics can shift someone's spiritual anatomy."

He marks a pause, returning back to Hina, before addressing to the whole class.

"Necromancy is indeed one example, as it catches someone's soul to prevent it to join the Lifestream, thus damning that soul to stay present in the material world without any rest to relieve them from their death. Specially, if it was a violent one which becomes an eternal torture for the soul unable to be cleansed in this state.

I do also suppose it is worth to mention about Faith and Witchery magic then. Faith magic employed by priests and alike, channel and weave through the Lifestream to communicate with their divinity. As they cultivate their faith through this, it becomes easy for a priest to allow some slight manipulations of one's essence thanks for the blessings provided by the divnity through the Lifestream. A prayer could strengthen someone's mana. Or act as a shield against occult magic. Even priests are able to share a bit of their essence, to envigorate someone's else essence.

In contrary to witchery, they extort the essences from the living violently, to then instead prepare harmfull ''blessings'' with their own vile magic.

And despite both goals, Faith and Witchery are not related to Holy and Occult magic. I am for exemple a priest of Alacritas, the Constant of Life. But I do not have any attunement to Holy magic."

He then turns towards Regalus and Pyxis.

"In short and in the usual rule : every living being has a soul. From the ladybug, to the majestic tree, passing by a magical elemental to a spirit, and us and animals. Sure, these souls don't have the same potency as others. Undeads, for example, still have a soul, a tortured one altough that is supposed to be deceased and sent back to the Lifestream. Their presence alive is an anomaly to the Life's cycle. Demons, may be souls from those damned into Helheim. So if for exemple a warlock or a witch dies, their soul is instead sent back to Helheim, in which they will suffer from their vices and temptations. And likelyafter, this soul will embody a demon like we see nowadays roaming.
At least, on demons, it is what I interpret and imagine."

He sighs.

[17:49] He taps the table for a moment, there is a lot of speculation on what a demon's soul is. Today he heard the same thing twice however, the fact that people believe that the corrupt souls become demon. This is not the case.

"Well Svengalf, I know of many religions but the one I know the most of is the Aspera church." He stated, due to his close work with the people of Aphros and various different works with their church.

"And in their faith it states, that lost souls become Nethradin. A corrupt demonic-like spirit that roams and torchers souls in Helheim, thus blocking them from the reincarnation cycle." He stated, tapping his pen some more.

"What this means exactly, since Helheim is for the last and the damned, that the ones that do not find peace in themselves become these souls, not reborn as demons. Furthermore, a nethradin is a spirit that is attuned to the Marquis, and Hel himself the lord of hel. Where Athelios is the Warden of Helheim, Hel has named it his domain, his kingdom, and due to his overwhelming force of nethradin and Marquis was able to push Athelios back into a section of Helheim so that he could breed more Nethradin for his army." He continued.

"Nethradin are cunning, they can make deals, these deals tend to be that of witchcraft. I do not mean to interrupt your class, but many witch covens have followed lesser nethradins and all the Marquis are nethradins, human souls that never rejoined the lifestream due to never finding salvation in Helheim."

"Essence can recover naturally on its own. Unless there is a severe curse debiliating such. By the way, there is some sort of primitive healing magic, like wellspring, sound, wind, crystal magic, and so on, that have provide a soothing effect on the essence. Acting like a temporary pain reliever before tending wounds. Yes, you can still use magic to properly tend a wound when trained, but these primitive healings can be used by anyone to provide some first aid."

He turns back to Cecil.
"No worries at all, I understand yes. I wanted to put a bit more of context to define what is exactly ''occult'' magic in your case. There is usually two symptoms in regards of occulct injuries : corruptions, and consumption.
Again, it is very hard to try breaching this divine barrier protecting the soul by simple elemental and ethereal magic. But it can still try to gnaw the essence. Does it answer?"

As the Lapine goes on, she merely nods her head to make apparent of her attentiveness. Hina continues to writes down every piece of information that she felt was crucial.

Which was just about everything, summed up to a degree.

She pauses then, however, at the mention of what Necromancy entailed. The girl is silent, completely still in place, almost as if frozen with fear.

How violent was the nature of necromancy to shake the Kitsune to her very core. "...that's so sad," she says, giving Sven a sad glance. It brought the Kitsune back to her interactions with Sinesis, an undead skeletal being who's bones were full of fungal anomalies.

"I met an undead once that said they were glad to have another chance at life," she mentions. "..does that mean their death wasn't violent?" Tilting her head then. She had another question, though once again she does not push further.

'How do you cleanse an undead? What magics are necessary requirements for such a feat?' She ponders to herself, and in short she does not push for it, but rather jots down those inquiries on her sheet of notes to promptly ask later.

"..Do you think if I pray to Jiuweihu hard enough that she'd hear me and bless me with her strength?" Words towards the end seem to drift off. She wanted to be a Priestess of her faith - the Illuminated. A light smile is given at the idea.

"She is the deity of the Sun." Mentioned, though she wonders.

Could one attune themselves with the Sun, and how would she go about doing such a thing - to feel to close to her deity and remain as loyal as ever?

As for the Undead, perhaps. We all want to live. Some people are reluctant to the idea of dying and many wish to live forever. But doing so, may cause harm to the Lifestream.
If souls stopped to rejoin the Lifestream, there would be a drought of souls, which means a drought of Life. And in consequences, the Lifestream won't be able to sustain the world.
Death, is part of this natural order. Of course, we must not rush, and we must not inflict it upon others."

"This is the juice from a succculent you can find in the Silent Expanse. It is a bit like Lax Essence, but this one deals better at relieving the burns. But first, let's clean the cuts."

Placing the jar asside for now, he picks up the rag and uncorks the bottle. Dampening the rag with cold sterilized water, he starts to gently scrub the around the cuts to remove the dried blood and clean.

"How did this happen again, if I may ask ?"

[18:40] The Kitsune rests herself atop the bed, watching Sven take out the necessary ailments needed to soothe her injuries.

"Thankfully," she responds, giving the Lapine man a light smile on her visage.

His explanation given, Hina continues idly watching, taking mental notes about the succulent's capabilities.

She extends her arms, or whatever limbs he may be working on to clean.

"Ah, well.. Acero attacked me. He had good reason, I feel," she says, watching the man work. "He has a friend that got captured by Skarnfel. I offered to help, but he didn't want me to go, so he hurt me to prevent me from going there with him." She nods, confirming the story; it was true, after all.

"I understand why he did it. I'm not upset about it."

[18:44] The lapine keeps working on her wounds, while listening.

"Ha... I see. This reminds me… there was once a tournament in the tower of Aetius. It seemed like, a friendly tournament at first. But then magic started to become more instable and Dangerous, even if you were trying to restrain yourself. Any duel, could have left someone deeply injured.
I was against a teenager like you. I didn't have the heart to cause harm to them… But they were at least eager to challenge me and learn. I granted him a benediction to protect him from the injuries. And miracle : he only had some superficial wounds after our fight.
And then I was thinking… if I forfeited and let him win, what would happen if his next match was against someone less mercifull, like a witch or a demon, who were also in this tournament ?"

He pouts, still thinking about this event, as he rubs the succulent's gel over her cuts and wounds before wrapping the bandages.

"Sometimes… we must do hard choices that challenges all of our ideals…"

[18:49] She watches, and listens to Sven's story about the tournament at the tower of Aetius. She felt a sense of relief that he hadn't the heart to injure a teenager like herself.

Sven truly was such a kind man. His nature causes Hina to smile widely - a very respectable individual, truly.

"It sounds like you helped him get some experience he needed. I hope that, whoever it is, is out there thriving." The girl nods.

The soothing succulent along the surface of Hina's flesh is covered with bandages. It's an almost instant relief for the girl who'd been dealing with that pain for some time now. She could tolerate it - nothing too serious.

"I agree with you on there. Meranthe has a lot of hard choices to make." Hina is silent then, and once he's finished wrapping her wounds in bandages, the Kitsune rises from the bed.

"As much as I don't want to face them, I know I will have to, one day."

A bow is given towards Sven, and Hina lightly laughs. "I appreciate you, Sven. For the healing, and for the lesson. If you don't mind, I should check on my friend at my house. I'll come by another time, though, to learn more from you!"

[18:52] The lapine smiles, tidying up the materials he picked up.

"Life is not Always sweet. Often, you will end up with challenges. But it's in these challenges that you learn and understand how valuable and precious Life is."

He nods.

"And sure, feel free to visit at any time ! You are a very Pleasant person to talk with too. Take care, alright ? I won't hold you further if you are in a rush !"
