- The party speak with Larin, Naribor, and Simeon and learn a few notable things.
- Marty 'Long Shanks' has been missing for several weeks, and Dramira & Bertulf for two.
- Naribor genuinely does not know where his close friend, Bertulf went, but suspects Dramira could not really have led him to a safe place, because she is psionically gifted. He seems to think of his friend's sister as something of a 'devil woman'. He hopes he is wrong.
- Reflecting on a particular passage in the Meditations, Ryardynin carefully pondered Mortwin's involvement with the Unseen Eye.
- -It is briefly mentioned in the Meditations that their relationship was 'close, as much allies as friends, and perhaps more'.
- -It is heavily suggested that the Unseen Eye and Mortwin were lovers in their mortal lives. She descended into madness, and it is suggested he may have imprisoned her deep underground.
- -This implies the Unseen Eye is at least a thousand years old.
- -Ryardynin realized he might be beset with ancient baggage from unresolved conflicts from literally centuries ago, from a past life he can't remember.
- -If this were somehow resolved, he realized this might give the party leverage, and perhaps Yolrud was telling the exact truth, a specialty of his. He certainly doesn't seem too picky with allies.
- Larin described the extraction of tribute and the strange timeline, beginning days after Dramira and Bertulf went missing. He did not directly voice his suspicions about this.
- Larin asked the party to help him put a stop to the attacks and retrieve Dramira and Bertulf, if they still live. In doing this, he offered a runed tablet. Larin's tablet appeared to be marked with a signature. Othok-dere runes describe it as a pass to be granted an audience with Jalthurazad, High Pranic Master of Hath-Kor.
- After a rest, the party assented, and waited to ambush or meet the emissaries of the Unseen Eye.
- They laid a trap and waited. The emissary party arrived, and the spider creatures were ensnared in the party's trap. They managed to talk their way out of the situation somehow, and Ryardynin spoke of his desire to speak with the Unseen Eye, as Mortwin. This surprised Maegwyn, but she gladly entertained the offer. She told the party they would need to provide tribute to her mistress.
- Maegwyn brought them down a dizzying series of tunnels, full of failed fleshwarped experiments.
- She honored her oath, bringing the party directly to her mistress, and left them alone in the chamber with her.
- Notably, Alasdair puzzled out the Unseen Eye did not seem to notice him in her imprisoned state, suggesting her perceptive ability is derived from a psionic ability.
- The cage itself appeared to be made of an adamantine latticework, an antimagic field, and Mortwin's rune.
- The Unseen Eye spoke privately with Ryardynin, demanding an apology for 'crimes' he did not commit, and what she no doubt saw as humility. He declined, and mocked her. She vowed she would have the last laugh, because there would be more Mortwins. Ryardynin rebutted he, unlike the others, would not die. The Unseen Eye really didn't have much of a rebuttal to that.
- Attempting to leave, Pan, Alasdair, Emilia, and Ryardynin were pursued by two unique allips named Penumbra and Impresence. They prepared for a difficult fight.
