	The Programmer

I tap away this meaningless code
Day after day of this screens blinding glow
And I press F9 and reap what I sow

I clasp my hands and I hope and I pray
My ardent wish is to finish this mode
So I tap away this meaningless code

And I try my game with a quick test play
I rewrite that part as it’s much too slow
So I press F9 and reap what I sow

But even at the ending of the day
I must finish this part, don’t stop, no no
And I still tap out this meaningless code

It’s Friday morning, the eighteenth of May
School already started, what do I do?
I tap away this meaningless code
