New Tournament HYPE Edition

Hey guys, how’s it goin?

It’s time for Puzzle General to hold its annual Puzzle League tournament. The games have been alternating between Tetris Attack and Pokemon Puzzle League in previous years. This would be Pokemon Puzzle League’s year, but next year is the game’s 20th anniversary. Pokemon Puzzle League is a very special game to the community. It only makes sense to honor a special milestone for a special game so that tournament will be postponed.

This year, since we just did Tetris Attack last year, we decided to go off the board and try a different level of… challenge. The game will be Pokemon Puzzle Challenge and I will be at the forefront of organizing everything. I’m also giving prizes to top finishers! This does have an impact on the YouTube channel for the immediate future, however. With the time that I need to invest in getting ready for the tournament, I will have no time to highlight the best moments from each stream. That will be put on an indefinite hold. I will also have no time to continue my Rhino Rumble TAS efforts so those will be delayed.

That said, I’m still at it on Nintendo Puzzle Collection. In fact, I figured out part of the secret to Easy mode this past week and improved my best time by a good 0.4 seconds. My time is now 3:41.4. I want to get to 3:39 before moving on to a higher difficulty. I’m disliking Easy mode that much.

In real life news, I have been stressing this weekend trying to repair an old toilet that’s a little too loose with the water. I wanted to replace the kit in the tank, but the nuts and bolts are so rusted that I can't even take the tank apart so, today, I’m having the entire toilet replaced. I’ve been at this house 15 years and, not once, has the toilet been addressed besides replacing the seat. That’s $400 in parts and labor I’m never getting back.
