  1. This glitch gave me two separate ideas while I was at work today, and I was wondering what people thought of them.
  2.
  3. First off, one idea I had in mind would be an Any% NG+ category (I should point out that I don't know if it really should be considered NG+, or even called it. I just put that there to make it clear that it would be different from the any% route/category we know now), it would be seperate from the normal any% category, or I guess for purposes of the conversation the IGT any%. This potential new category would timed in RTA and would be able to utilize the glitch. Seperating it would create a cool variety in the routes, and if people don't like the idea of skipping through the stage and would like to take advantage of travelling in time through the stages and would like to compare their own times to themselves and/or other's times by IGT would still be able to do that while people who would like to use this trick to do crazy skips.
  4.
  5. The other idea is that it could be useful in All Time Stones assuming we're ok with the fact that this trick in most cases requires multiple files. I noticed that when you do this glitch and re-enter the same stage or another stage it keeps your ring count as well as the igt in the stage. So the idea would be, in file “A” you play through the game normally, you enter a stage you want to skip and do a special stage in, either go to stage select or go to another save file (file B), and in whatever stage that is you're in in this File B, collect 50 rings, hit a past/future sign as well as a checkpoint, travel in time + do the glitch, then go back to file A, hit the goal post and enter the special stage.
  6.
  7. Now, for how it would be allowed, whether we let people use a premade file or even multiple files to time travel in, or we allow using stage select, or we just require people to make a file and use level 1 to time travel in, that's really up to the community to decide.
  8.
  9. I should point out however that I don't actually know if it works for sure in stage select, I have yet to get it to work in stage select but it's also kind of a pain to get consistently unless I actually practiced and/or figured out proper timing for. Also, this is all assuming that this trick would save time anywhere, which is yet to be determined, I never actually timed any of this. They're all theories. Truth be told, I'm not sure if I want to be the guy to look time every possibility, especially since I'm going to get my download code for Shantae: Half-Genie Hero very soon for backing it on kickstarter 3 years ago, and I plan on dropping CD for a bit once I finally get my hands on it.
  10.
  11. PS: I didn't bring up All Good Futures because I don't really see the glitch saving time anywhere if we did make a separate category where as in any%/Time Stones I at least saw potential. You need to be in the past to brake the generators, and the generators are usually spread out everywhere and I think the game warps you to the stage's default period of time that you enter.
