- Your soft voice reaches out to Tyrus, Ravager of the Red Branch, tickling their
- ear, "It's lovely how the song of the forest shifts. And I would like to go,
- aye! I heard there's a well-travelled ranger that knows the way."
- Tyrus tells you, "Indeed. I hear he's rather good looking as well!"
- Your soft voice reaches out to Tyrus, Ravager of the Red Branch, tickling their
- ear, "And that he can dance. Mm-hm."
- Tyrus tells you, "He'll be at the Mother whenever you're ready."
- You lift a hand languidly and send a moonbeam to Tyrus.
- Huskii follows you ether.
- You grin mischievously at Tyrus.
- Tyrus inclines his head politely to those around him.
- (( Zoom. ))
- Huskii moves to approach a cocoon of light bearing the Goddess Li-varili.
- Shimmering into existence, a barrier of immaculate white mist manifests before a
- cocoon of light bearing the Goddess Li-varili in answer, preventing any action
- from being taken upon the resting Divine.
- Raising their hand in greeting, Huskii says "Hi!"
- Tyrus, Ravager of the Red Branch says, "You can't disturb the cocoon, but you
- can pluck a magnolia from it."
- Lorina nods her head emphatically.
- Madam Lorina, Matron of the Arts says, "Empower the magnolia, and aid in the
- convalescence of the Lady of the Lagoons."
- Huskii ponders the situation.
- Tyrus nods his head emphatically.
- Cocooned in an immaculate light, the form of the Goddess Li-varili peacefully
- rests here upon the healing mound of Lantra, the White. The white scars that
- mark the turquoise-skinned Elder pulse with a gentle, twinkling radiance under
- the vigil of domothean crystals that hover over Her body, singing with faint,
- healing light. Her wild hair tangles about Herself in a blood-red halo, spilling
- behind Her in a dark curtain tangled with kelp and cattail reeds. There is a
- strange innocence to the normally imposing Divine in Her repose, as if thousands
- of years of tension have at last relinquished their hold on Her weary, exhausted
- body. Vines of white magnolia flowers blossom atop the healing mound, tenderly
- entwining about the Goddess's limbs to keep Her in place, though theirs is a
- firm, yet gentle grasp. A vibrant thrum of healing light emanates from the
- flowers that wreathe the Goddess here.
- It weighs about 150 pounds.
- It has the following aliases: cocoon, li-varili, goddess.
- You sense you can take one of the magnolias from the cocoon with your
- FINGERTIPS.
- Madam Lorina, Matron of the Arts says, "Good luck in your endeavors."
- Lorina inclines her head politely to those around her.
- The ephemeral cygnine wings fold closed on Lorina's back as she leaves to the
- west, trailed by the heartrending notes of a melodic swan song.
- You have emoted: Xiran frowns slightly as she considers the Elder Lady's visage
- in repose.
- Huskii of the Misty Vale says, "I wish things were easier... The the
- abominations, and the She'nasim, and the fae and Kelpie..."
- Huskii of the Misty Vale says, "I don't feel like helping actually helps..."
- Huskii slumps down dejectedly.
- Tyrus tells you, "I did my part earlier in the month. Stay as long as you like."
- Tyrus, Ravager of the Red Branch has lost you.
- Tyrus holds the Flame of dae'Seren aloft and an emerald light shines forth,
- revealing a hazy hallway of ancient trees. As Tyrus walks through the hallway,
- the trees close around him and disappear.
- With a low growl, a fierce timberwolf pads out to the ether.
- Your soft voice reaches out to Tyrus, Ravager of the Red Branch, tickling their
- ear, "Thank you, dear Tyrus."
- As Huskii gently brushes their fingertips across a cocoon of light bearing the
- Goddess Li-varili, one of the pure white magnolia blossoms flowering about Her
- gently floats into their grasp.
- (( Getting magnolias. ))
- Huskii ponders the situation.
- In softer tones, you say, "Perhaps a single magnolia's essence might not help.
- But it seems many have been tending to Her of late."
- Brightening with a pulse of recognition, a misty wisp of healing light twirls in
- place with anticipation.
- You say, "And likely we will make a difference, together."
- Hazy and intangible, this hushed wisp of mist hovers in the air like a faintly
- feminine mirage, at once strangely present and not. Waves of healing light pulse
- out from the wisp in gentle echoes, humming with a soft, reassuring melody that
- evokes a sense of peace and stillness. At the slightest nearby sound, the wisp
- shifts and reacts as if startled, her song changing in rhythm. The shimmering
- protection of the Empyreal Goddess shields this wisp from any that might harm
- it.
- A misty wisp of healing light is not one to be trifled with.
- She is strangely weightless.
- You cannot see what a misty wisp of healing light is holding.
- It has the following aliases: wisp, mist.
- The pure white magnolia blossom in your hands sparkles brightly in the presence
- of a misty wisp of healing light.
- Huskii of the Misty Vale says to a cocoon of light bearing the Goddess Li
- -varili, "With how You betrayed friend Tore, and how Your coven helped the
- Kelpie, and how You caused so many problems! I don't know if I can help you."
- Huskii huffs and puffs in outrage.
- Xiran smiles ruefully without rebuff.
- Huskii of the Misty Vale says, "Harmed the kelpie..."
- Huskii slumps down dejectedly.
- Tears fill Huskii's eyes and begin to slowly run down their face.
- Huskii gives a pure white magnolia blossom to you.
- Huskii of the Misty Vale says to you, "I don't think I can help right now."
- Huskii sits themself down.
- Xiran tilts her head.
- Xiran drifts down to lay a small hand on Huskii's shoulder. A silvery light
- blooms from her touch, a wash of soothing energies flowing through Huskii.
- Huskii of the Misty Vale says, "The problem is too hard. I don't know if I can
- trust that helping will keep us safe."
- Huskii creases their brow in a frown.
- Softly, you say, "It is good of you to consider the ultimate outcome in your
- choices."
- The melodic chime of domothean crystals sing with healing light as they keep
- silent vigil over a cocoon of light bearing the Goddess Li-varili, twirling in
- place as they assess Her wounds.
- You say to Huskii, "I spoke briefly with the Lady Lantra, the Empyreal. She does
- not heal the Lady of the Lagoons because She condones Her actions."
- Huskii of the Misty Vale says to you, "But if we help Her... She still owes a
- big debt to the Seren and our friends! Is the Empyreal going to help repay us?"
- You blink.
- You say, "I do not think we should consider the Lady Empyreal responsible for
- Lady Li-Varili's actions."
- Huskii of the Misty Vale says, "Lagoon can't make promises in this state... And
- Tore was still poisoned!"
- Xiran tilts her head.
- Huskii of the Misty Vale says, "And the Eye was lost and destroyed..."
- Huskii ponders the situation.
- You say, "There is much to be angry at the Lady of the Lagoons for, but I do not
- heal people to extract promises from them. And I do not think that is the Lady
- Empyreal's aim either."
- You say, "We can hope the Lady of the Lagoons comes to see Her poor judgement,
- but I think it best not to expect anything from one such as Her. She seemed to
- have a tempestuous nature even before."
- Huskii of the Misty Vale says, "But if we heal Her, only for the She'nasim and
- the abominations to poison the basin further... Are we really healing Her?"
- Xiran tilts her head.
- Huskii of the Misty Vale says, "If the Spirits are afflicted, like Gopher or The
- Sea, it's better to let them rest."
- You say, "That might be a question for an Awakener to answer. I suspect there
- remains some link between the Goddess and the Great Spirit, so that is why I am
- choosing to help heal Her." Softly, "For the sake of the Fae."
- You think to yourself: And. It is hard not to feel a bit of compassion for one
- in Her state.
- You think to yourself: I'm sure She would kill us if She woke, but.
- Huskii of the Misty Vale says, "It's just... A lot of responsibility. If healing
- the Lagoon caused a lot of hurt, it's a lot to carry."
- You pat a pure white magnolia blossom in a friendly manner.
- Huskii of the Misty Vale says, "And we've already been betrayed, and there's no
- promises to heal."
- Rising, you say, "It is a lot to carry, aye."
- You say, "It may be a dangerous thing to do, to offer without expectation of
- repayment."
- A calm, feminine voice laces through the aether, "Should you ever find yourself
- at the mercy of an unexpected fate, I hope your healer does not anticipate a
- favour in return."
- You jump into the air and land with a bump.
- You curtsey gracefully.
- Huskii of the Misty Vale says, "I hope in the end of my days I helped more than
- I hurt."
- Your soft voice reaches out to Huskii of the Misty Vale, tickling their ear,
- "I'm afraid we have attracted the attentions of the Lady Empyreal."
- You think to yourself: Perhaps I have forgotten how not to give. Huskii's
- thinking is hard for me to follow.
- A calm, feminine voice laces through the aether, "As do We all, child. If you
- experience trepidation at assisting Me in My healing arts, then do not do so. I
- know the weight I carry. You need not share it, if you do not wish."
- Huskii of the Misty Vale says, "Can She really be healed?"
- Huskii of the Misty Vale says, "I really worry that healing would only bring
- more wounds on the basin!"
- You have emoted: Xiran keeps her head bowed as she drifts back to Huskii's side,
- placing a reassuring hand to their arm.
- A calm, feminine voice laces through the aether, "Her wounds have been long
- -lasting, stretching through Her many hundreds of years in the Morokeche Seat.
- The Goddess has suffered much. It is difficult to know how much of Her current
- actions are born from those festering wounds, and how much are Her natural
- inclination. She was done a great evil by the Enchantress, indeed. And it is for
- that reason I seek to heal Her, now. If Drocilla will not atone for Her actions,
- then I shall attempt to."
- Huskii ponders the situation.
- A calm, feminine voice laces through the aether, "I do not pretend that the Lady
- of the Lagoons is not a threat, for She has made Herself such in Her brief time
- waking. But I shall not answer the Enchantress's cruelty with My own. It is not
- My way."
- Huskii of the Misty Vale says, "A lot opposed Her, and not all were friends. If
- we healed Her, and she made things worse... Would we have friends to help tend
- the wounds She caused?"
- A calm, feminine voice laces through the aether, "She will have to answer for
- Her actions when She wakes, yes. As do We all, Elder and mortal alike. Does that
- mean, however, that She deserves to suffer and die, when I have the power to
- prevent such?"
- Huskii of the Misty Vale says, "I can not speak for Her, I don't think Anyone
- can. I just want to make sure that if we can help heal those hurt, that we're
- not alone."
- A calm, feminine voice laces through the aether, "You yourself witnessed the
- convalescent of the Awakening Formation, where I stood beside many Elders whom I
- have not spoken to in thousands of years. Rest assured, in some matters, We find
- common ground yet."
- Your soft voice reaches out to Huskii of the Misty Vale, tickling their ear, "A
- Great Spirit may be afflicted, but to see death as the only answer would snuff a
- part of Nature. Let not such finality be the only answer, dear Huskii."
- Huskii nods their head emphatically.
- A calm, feminine voice laces through the aether, "Assist Me or do not. I do not
- ask you to make My choices. You are welcome to blame whatever ills that the Lady
- Li-varili inflicts upon the Basin on My shoulders, whether or not such blame is
- due, but I will not let My neglect be the reason for Her end. I have made My
- choice. I leave you to make your own." Then the voice fades in a whirl of
- starlight, fading as if it was never here at all.
- Quietly, you say, "Blessed be, Lady Empyreal."
- Huskii of the Misty Vale says, "If You're willing to see this though, I'll give
- You my trust for now."
- Huskii stares implacably about themself.
- Xiran turns to Huskii, gently cupping her hands about a pure white magnolia
- blossom as she looks to them questioningly.
- Gently releasing it to him, you give a pure white magnolia blossom to Huskii of
- the Misty Vale.
- Huskii nods their head at you.
