AABRIA (LAERRYN): Stop. I let him grapple me.
BRENNAN: You are grappled in this moment. You go. Your husband looks afraid. As you go deep, you see the tree lance out, two branches, sharp as swords lance into Patia and Loquatius at the same moment. It is still your turn.
AABRIA (LAERRYN): I cast Blight.
BRENNAN: Blight hits the tree. We are going to resolve all this in a moment.

BRENNAN: Zerxus, you look in the tree. You see, translucent, a face you have longed to see for many years. Before his voice was proud and now his face looks afraid. He looks at you in a ghostly moment and says, "Not like this!"
Blight [whoosh] hits the heart of the tree. [tick, whoosh, crash, BOOM, zwoom] Rot, and the tree sunders. [KWOOM, gasp] The seam opens along the trunk. As it opens, there is only fire. Two arms push the tree apart and the skinned face of Vespin Chloras gazes out.
