All the cookies ever

AlexithymiaaAlexithymiaa : -Brad was in his bedroom which haad been straaightened and organized from the mess of papers he'd had on literally every surface and thrown about. He was trying to get himself situated so that they could go decorate the tree that waas now standing in the common area. // Evan was busy bustling around the room filing things and continuing to get Brad organized from his absense. Grateful that Braad was giving him a second shot at this, he had no intentions of doing anything to jeopardize his position with him and therefore had also cleaned Brad's room.-

Covet: [Evan... you aren't his intdentured servant XD]
Covet: Kelsey had been waiting in the living room with Connor, who was also waiting but not as patiently. "Momma how much longer do we have to wait, I want to put the ornaments on." // Kelsey looked at Connor, "Hopefully soon, just a little longer, okay. Maybe you can go knock on the door and see if he's ready yet?"
Alexithymiaa: "Where aare the lighting plots?" He asked Evan as he turned around, walking back over to his desk and shuffling around the papers Evan had just neatly stacked there for his reference. // Evan turned, bolting over to where Brad was and gently moving the papers out from under his hands, passing him a different stack that was ordered and paperclipped together. "These are the lighting plots. The ones on your desk are the camera plots. I'm working on filing the scene breakdowns still."-
Covet: "Okay Momma" Connor jumped off the couch and made his way down the hall to Brad's dorm, knocking on the door, "Dad, how much longer is it going to be? The tree might die if we don't put the ornaments on." He said. // Kelsey could hear him and couldn't help at her kid's dramatic comment.
Alexithymiaa: -Hearing the knock at the door, he looked over in that general direction, nodding his head. "I know, I'm sorry buddy. I'm coming." He reluctantly looked down at the papers in his hand before shoving that at Evan. "Just.... file these for me to look at later." He said before walking to the door and pulling it open. "Okay, come on, let's decorate."-
Covet: Connor smiled and looked at Brad, taking his hand. "Momma made us gingerbread cookies to eat after pizza too." He said all excited. // Kelsey heard them making their way down the hallway and got up, headed into the kitchen to get the boys dished up.
Alexithymiaa: "Oh wow. Sounds like we're really lucky." He said with a laugh, taking Connor's hand and letting him lead him down the hallway toward the common area. "Pizza AND cookies? It's like we hit the jackpot." As he walked in, he took a big whiff, his smile spreading across his lips. "Smells great in here."-
Covet: "Well, it's tradition to eat pizza when we decorate the tree, and the cookies, were just because I had time to make them. They are those cream cheese frosting ones I told you about." Kelsey said as she handed him a plate with a couple slices of pizza, then handed one with a smaller piece to Connor. // "Thank you Momma." He said with a smile, then ran back into the living room. " The lights hafta go on first!"
Alexithymiaa: "Thank you Momma." Brad said with a grin as he took the plate from her, leaning in to give her a kiss on the cheek. "I'm looking forward to trying those cookies though. Probably more than eating this pizza." He turned to look at Connor running off to the living room. "Yes, let me plug them in for you before we start."-
Covet: Kelsey grinned, "You're both welcome, though I didn't really do all that much." She said, "No cookies until after dinner. I told Connor that and I mean the same for you too." // Connor, took a bite of his pizza, "Why do we have to plug them in first?"
Alexithymiaa: "We plug them in first so when we lay them on the tree, we can see it easier and make them evenly spaced." He said as he walked over into the living room, picking up a slice of his pizza to take a bite before setting the plate down on the couch. He picked up the bundle of lights they'd packed away last year, plugging them in and seeing them all come to life. "See, now we can place them."-
Covet: Kelsey got herself a slice of pizza and made her way into the living room to watch Connor and Brad. // "Dad, those ones at the end aren't working though." He said pointing to the last foot or so of lights that were in fact, not on.
Alexithymiaa: "Okay well maybe we have a light out and it's stopping the rest of the lights from turning on." He said, shifting his hands down to the last section of lights to examine them. He reached for one of the lights that was at the beginning of the downed area, twisting it to tighten it until the rest of them popped on. "See, all better. Why don't you go to that side and I'll pass them to you and you can walk around the tree and help me put them on."-
Covet: "Okay Dad, but you will have to do the top because I can't reach." Connor said. // Kelsey watched them both a little forlorn, but with a smile on her face. "I'm going to get the garland ready for you guys." She said reaching over to get it unwound, taking care of the tangles in it, trying not to break it.
Alexithymiaa: (Forever the mom job.)
AlexithymiaaAlexithymiaa : "I got the top, don't worry." He said as he walked around the tree, getting to one side and passing off the lights to Connor so he could walk around the other side with the strand. "Yeah, the lights shouldn't take us too long and then we can garland."-
Covet: "Like this Dad?" he said making the rounds closer together on his side, because short, causing the tree to look a little lopsided. // Kelsey nodded, "Then ornaments and the topper. I was thinking... we should get a nativity scene that we could put on the counter in the kitchen."
Alexithymiaa: "Here, like this. Look at my side and try to match how far apart the lights are, okay?" He asked, going over to straighten out Connor's side a little, trying to give a helping hand here. He then worked his way around the top of the tree quickly since it was so much smaller. "A nativity scene would be nice. Momma, you want to help with the garland?"-
Covet: "I am Dad." he said protesting then ran over to get the garland from Kelsey. // "Sure, I think I've got it all untangled. I think no matter how we put this away it always gets tangled up." She said as she got up and walked over with the other piece of garland, "Okay, now we put this in between the lights." Kelsey told Connor.
AlexithymiaaAlexithymiaa : -Brad stepped out of their way, watching as Kelsey helped Connor wrap the garland around the tree. "It's looking really nice so far. I wonder if there's some sort of decorating contest we could win for how great our tree always looks."-
Covet: "Thanks Dad!" Connor said and kept working on the tree. // "I don't think so...but that would be a great idea for the sorority. Like we did with the pumpkin carving contest." Kelsey said with a smile.
Alexithymiaa: "But wouldn't that mean that everyone needs a tree to decorate at like a party or something?" He asked, thinking back to the pumpkin carving contest last year. "Seems like a space issue."-
CovetCovet : After the garland got to high for him, Connor ran over to start putting the ornaments on the tree. // "It depends on where we did it. But it wouldn't have to be every person, I think it could be like a group thing." Kelsey said. "And the money raised could go to a charity of some sort."
Alexithymiaa: "I guess that could work. Why don't you talk to Steph about it?" He asked, reaching into their box of ornaments and getting out one so he could place it on the top of the tree. He intended to focus more on areas Connor couldn't reach.-
Covet: "I wonder if we could do it in the quad area. Since everyone walks through there all the time." Kelsey said. "I'll ask her tomorrow. Make sure to space them out kiddo." She said to Connor.
Alexithymiaa: "Not a bad idea. It would make the campus look more festive and I doubt anyone would have a problem with that. Besides like... anti Christmas freaks." He said, grabbing for another ornament to stick on the top of the tree.-
Covet: "Well those Scrooges, and just deal with it. The money is going to a good cause. I'm going to think of some other things, tomorrow morning before I talk to Steph about it." Kelsey said as she helped with the ornaments.
Alexithymiaa: "Is there going to be a formal dance this year?" He asked, adjusting the ornament further on the branch to make sure it wouldn't fall free.-
Covet: "I assume so...I don't see why there wouldn't be." Kelsey said with a shrug.
Alexithymiaa: "I don't know, I haven't seen anything about it yet. Although I guess I also havent been paying attention either so that's fair." He said with a shrug, picking up another ornament.-
Covet: "I'll look around for something about it tomorrow. Then maybe we can go shopping for something snazzy and matching?" Kelsey asked him.
Alexithymiaa: "Yeah, we can do that, but you know how much I hate shopping so don't expect me to be excited over buying a new tie or pants without holes in them." He said in a low voice, taking a step back to admire their tree. "Wow. We did a really great job. Are we ready for the angel?"-
Covet: "Nobody said it had to be a tie. What if we just got you a nice vest and then you wouldn't have to wear a tie." Kelsey told him. " Yep, here it is." She said grabbing the angel to hand to Brad. "Who's about ready for cookies after this too?" // Connor perked up, " Oh me!"
Alexithymiaa: "Eh... we'll see." He said as he stepped up, standing on his toes and setting the angel down on top of the tree. "Alright, let's have some cookies." He said, clapping his hands together and turning around to head for the kitchen. He was excited for cookies.-
