  1. Simon Cape Looked at his blade and nodded. "It's got a very noble sounding name. Very well then, from here on out I shall call this blade by its name Koken!" Looking back towards the master he'd wonder what sort of training would be in store. After all, defending such a cool named sword was now his number one priority!*

  3.
  4. *Simon Cape at first the overbearing weight of his weights seemed to slow him down to a snails crawl. The pain and aching caused him to become rather delirious. He'd gotten halfway through the lap before falling upon the ground unable to push forth!
  5.
  6. Each day they'd feel lighter but the stress on his body ached his very bones! After two more days of trying his damndest to run a lap around the town he'd get pretty close to completing it. In fact the weights seemed to be less of a hindrance than he'd ever imagined!
  7.
  8. The effort he'd put into the training finally started paying off! He could run at his normal speed, and with that new confidence in his strength. and as a bonus, his shower time was halved due to all the training cutting his effective water bill in half!
  9. Running back to the spot where Kin gave him his task he'd wave and proudly beam. " I Actually did it! Though this could possibly be my body shutting down like that movie memento."*

  12. Cape listened to each explanation committing them to memory as he practiced under Kin’s tutelage growing stronger with each lesson. Firstly the Ryu-Tsui-Sen would be attempted. Cape ran towards the dummy with a speed he’d finally adjusted to after taking off the bothersome weights.
  13.
  14. Using the velocity of his run he’d fling himself into the air propelling forward at high speeds to connect his blade with the dummies pseudo shoulder. Striking it true, the vibrations sent a shockwave throughout the dummy creating a satisfying thwack! “Ryu-Tsui-Sen!”
  15.
  16. Moving on the the next lesson he’d have to ponder, <This dummy doesn’t look much like Velo, but seeing as he’s the only person I’ve fought I’ll need to properly copy how he struck me and use it as a basis for the dummy.> While practicing his stance and defensive posture, he’d imagine a sword flying towards his left flank. With his sword hilted he’d swing it with such great speed that the momentum from the attack alone sent enough force through the blade’s impact to stagger any opponent allowing for a decisive counter strike! “Ryu-Kan-Sen!”
  17.
  18. His speed training was finally being pushed to its limits. The Ryu-Sho-Sen wasn’t for the faint of heart and its pattern of movement eluded Simon at first. However, with a little demonstration from Kin he’d realize that it was in a way like juking an opponent! Coming into range of the dummy he would imagine attacks coming at him from every angle. Fists, swords, ki and more from a skilled shadow image attached to the dummies frame. Focusing upon his target he’d bring the sword upward weaving through the air around him like a fish downstream! “Ryu-Sho-Shen!”
  19.
  20.
  21. Finally he’d try his hand at the Do-Ryu-Sen. It interested him the most. After all it had great potential in tripping up unsuspecting opponents. Even before his training with Kin he’d managed to have decent power muscle wise. Finally his days at the gym and running around with heavy weights would pay off! With a honed precision that would rival a hawk observing his prey, Simon grabbed a handful of rubble and placed it into his utility pocket present in his armor. Moving in towards the Dummy he’d quickly throw out the pocketed sand like material blinding the dummy long enough to slice the ground into a slab that he would then kick up and punt into the dummy sending the courageous dummy far away “Do-Ryu-Sen!”
