Stumbling upon the Badlands, the Keyblade Graveyard, once again after his run in with Terra's Lingering Sentiment, Sora examines the area more thoroughly, finding the field of Keyblades, along with Kalas, who apologizes for his actions when they met during his own game. The reunion is cut short by a Phantom, a corrupted Somebody of a former Samurai Nobody, who introduces the two of them to the idea of Ghosts, others of its kind. Through their efforts, along with Kalas' new Moonglade lances and Roxas' own summoned Samurai Nobodies, the beast is destroyed, its heart purified and left to float free once more. Afterwards, with their reunion back on track, they agree to go to Kalas' world and, along with determining why one of the Keyblades in the area seems to have chosen him, lock the Keyhole of his world.
