i completed my m1 grid in two months

Before I begin, let me be clear.

New players who start right now with completely fresh accounts WILL not be able to achieve this, unless you're willing to pay a crazy amount of money, to reach a MINIMUM goal of 600 rolls, and at least get (be it spark or luck) two essential characters for two grids. Even then I'm not sure what you can do to bridge the gap of the free weapons given out during March. That's how generous the anniversary event was.

I'm sure the others will tell you about winkwink stuff and not waste time with a new account, so I'll leave them up to their discretion on this matter. Returning players or older accounts who went through the anniversary event might be able to achieve full M1 grids easily depending on what they do now.

Here are my current grids.

Water - Hur hur, did I fool you? The M2 harp was bought with pendants and it's level 40, not farmed. I do think that 0* harp should be better than a 3* dagger though. I'm unable to unlock the recent xeno weapons because I don't have steel bricks.

Light - Bonus screenshot Yes, I'm ready to uncap a 5* Tien any time, but the guns are now being used as my grid lol. I guess I cheesed it somehow and made a usuable M1 grid? Good for arcarum, I think.

​

Earth - Nothing special about it, just 4 earth swords.

​

Fire - I had one AES drop for me. That's a level 40 branch there. Ultima gun came from leeching, Xeno axe from weapon ticket, Bahamut sword was crafted.

​

Wind - Fully farmed M2 3* harp. Unable to 4* because of the lack of quartz.

​

Dark - Those claws are lvl 80 and 40 respectively. There's really no way to farm the claws easily, but using pendants for 8 claws in 2 months? Achievable, I think.

Okay. Let's begin the real content of this topic.

​

Introduction: I started slightly over two months ago, just a few days before the anniversary event started, so I still consider myself a newbie (or maybe you can't perceive me as one?).

​

To put it succinctly, what are the conditions in order to get the "Full m1 grids in two months" grid?

​

- 0) Absolutely have a min-max mindset

- 1) Brokenly OP Characters

- 2) Powerful MHs

- 3) Campaign quest, T4 + EX II classes

- 4) Join a crew who is willing to babysit you for a minimum of 10 hours

- 5) Be a Leech king

- 6) PREPARE TO GRIND. LOTS. BE A NO LIFER.

0) Absolutely have a min-max mindset. The most important thing is to find ways where you can minmax content. If you only wade around your current pool of knowledge, like sliming is the best EXP content and no other alternatives exist, you're not thinking about the best ways to progress. When I look back on my run, I found a number of newbie mistakes, like unlocking Arcarum late, making a wrong weapon, wasting berries to find out if it was really hard to TH9 AES (0 after 500 berries), etc. No matter how careful you are, you will probably make them if you're starting new. Don't mind them and move on.

1) Brokenly OP Characters. The first god that I came to possess by rolls is Yurius, the god of solo content. I spent twice later on to get an anniversary ticket and suptix, but both characters I got (S.Grea and dark Eustace) are really non-essential compared to these two characters that I got later on during April's zodiac banner, thanks to a number of consideration.

Anila (sparked) and Andira (lucked) are the two most important characters that I aimed for, absolutely deserving of the highest godly perfect score of 10. These two characters are absolutely critical because their buffs are insane, essentially raising your damage by an extreme amount.

​

2) The general recommendation for the free anniversary weapon ticket back then was something about certain M2 weapons, but I ended up choosing Xeno Scythe, which boosted my MC's power considerably. My earliest fire characters were Metera/Sturm/Lancelot and Vane, and they were exceptional in breezing through the story.

​

The second MH free weapon I chose was Wind Atma sword from 'What makes the sky blue 3', complimenting Yurius/Yuisis/Yuel (Summer). All these characters were rolled from the various free rolls.

The third MH weapon I farmed for was Unsigned Kaneshige, boosting Altair, Lily, and S.Grea. I guess this grid is P2W with S.Grea in it.

3) Campaign quest, T4 + EX II classes. I can't stress this enough.

​

Campaign Quest is absolutely critical for leveling. After you reach a certain part in the story, just hit the campaign quest. I think was just around chapter 20+ when I started on the campaign quest.

​

Level till you're 100, preferably 130 (stop at 101 until you can 1-shot it and come back to it later, or use it if you need to level up characters). It's the easiest XP quest, most AP efficient, and provides a considerable amount of loot. I didn't really check how many half-elixirs are used up, but maybe ~30+ pots per million RP? Ranking from 1-130 requires 18.3 million RP, 1-100 for approximately 6 million.

​

Don't ever waste your pots doing sliming or other non-critical things like going through the story, unless you absolutely need it during non-campaign moments. Only use pots for doing your daily omega runs, side stories, event quests, and co-op class progression. Progress until you unlock Arcarum, then any particular story content that's discounted in 1/2 AP events should only be done during then.

​

If there's any moment you think pots are freely available, then you're absolutely wasting them. Save everything for GWs or 1/2 AP events.

​

For T4 classes, I first chose Berserker for DPS, then Bandit Tycoon for leeching purposes, Spartan for hard content (though this class is useless for me right now). EXII class Kengo is absolutely broken with water, massive damage.

​

4) Join a crew who is willing to babysit you for a minimum of 10 hours. You need to join an active crew that's willing to help you out. No other ways around it. They are able to impart knowledge on beating bosses that I didn't mention here, and you get additional buffs like loot drop rate, increased RP.

​

5) Be a Leech king. This is another 'I can't stress this enough', save your berries until the 1/2 EP events and smash the join button. Don't come back to reddit until you're left with 200 berries for daily events that offer crystals. Whether it's leeching with TH9 or real M2 button smashing, use all your berries for essential leeching.

​

Especially leech the ultimate bahamut normal raids, in preparation for ubaha HL coop and ask to be carried (best to ask your crew, unless you want to bite nails over potential pubbers who can still somehow screw up at rank 200s). I haven't seen a failed UbahaHL yet when I asked to be carried (20+ runs now), but there was once when 3/5 pubbers died, and I felt the possibility of a failed run.

​

The words for ubahaHL coop host leech are, アルバハ HL 主弱放置  185↑, and this means Ultimate Bahamut, Host Weak, not playing, above 185 players only.

​

UbahaHL is complicated and I believe you need at least an Eternal and full end game grid to keep on hitting away without dying. Here is my updated cheat list of what to do during the run.

The only thing that's probably going to hold you back is quartz, not ultima units.

​

The first eternal I got was Tien, and combined with Oliver rebirth, hits TH9 most of the time. With this in mind, spam TH9 on the various bosses and you will easily get the M1 grid you need, with the exception of Celeste claws and Luminera swords.

​

The first campaign quest was me filling up my fire and wind element grid with priority, because of the free weapons the anniversary event gave out.

​

M2 like Grimnir, Twin Element HL, etc + TH9? Give it up. I tried. Don't waste your berries on them.

​

6) PREPARE TO GRIND. LOTS. BE A NO LIFER. Yes. Prepare to nolifer for 10+ hours a day to achieve this grid. However, despite what people might think about pressing buttons all the time, at least 50% of the grind is actually pressing the auto button on doable battles and watching tv shows while it auto resolves. This grinding shit is the most boring thing ever, you know.

The hardest I grinded was actually during the GW because I somehow thought I could be top 70K and get loot easily, but it turned out to be the opposite. I somewhat regretted making it to 70k, but I guess on the upside I'm pretty close to a sunstone package.

Anyways, I'm writing this post because I'm done with the grinding. I'm locking my MC behind 150 and maybe play a few times a week until M2 progression naturally until 1 year later.
