arin was born in the island of jeju to her two parents, Ahyeong and Seokmin. She lived there until she was around three years old and suddenly her dad got a job transfer, because he needed to for business purposes, to Incheon which they had to move to as a whole family. It was a new start but Arin's parents were thankful because she was still a toddler. They made a living there and her mother with her love of baking started a bakery business and her dad was still in business. arin grew up around the bakery and learned tons of recipes from her mom. during her childhood she was pretty normal and she loved singing around the shop and entertaining ajummas who went in the bakery with her voice. at school her grades weren't bad and was usually in the top 5. but she mostly got in trouble for her blung comments. she had a few friends but she usually kept away from everyone since she kind of thought everyone was quite annoying. but despite that she still took time to socialize. her parents were always very proud of her and supported her singing. as a part time job she was at the bakery and then another part time job was just getting gigs at coffee shops or events to sing and perform. at one particular event after the whole thing a man went up to her and wanted her to become part of their entertainment agency. she was excited of course but she needed to have her parents agreement and luckily they let her strive for her dreams.

arin is known for her resting bîtch face which makes her normal face look very mad or pissed. people feel really intimidated because she seems like she's out to kill you or is angry at you. but in reality that's just her normal resting face. people rarely see her smile due to her barely expressing emotion. you can't tell whether she's happy or about to strangle your neck. arin is known for her grumpiness and pessism which earned her the title from the group's beagle line, grumpy.
her members know her for her blunt and extremely honest comments. she doesn't care if she hurt someone's feelings in her mind honesty is the best policy. most of the time she insults her members playfully and glares at them like they're enemies.
with her bluntness she also has quite a potty mouth. she'll often curse whenever she's frustrated or annoyed. even when her group members bother her when she wants to focus or when they play a joke on her. but the members aren't really phased anymore by cursing and treat it as if it's the most normal thing in the universe. With her pessism she mostly whines and complains about every little thing. for example she has ocd about everything, like crooked tables need to be straight, a piece of hair out of place, everything that she thinks is unsatisfying she will cringe and make sure to fix it right away. Can be quite arrogant at sometimes since she knows she has a great voice and pretty good dancing skills. while performing arin has quite a lot of stage presence. she knows the right time to wink at the camera or give a flirty gaze. she even knows when to show off. being the main vocal she can't help but show off her voice and give it her all. she can be quite alluring on stage but she doesn't stand out, her voice stands out but her self just blends in with the other members. her voice is stable and her dancing isn't bad so she does well with every stage.


how you act in public:
when she's around fans that's probably one of the only time she likes to smile and show affection. she becomes like a little girl around her fans and always shows them tons of love and kindness.
on variety shows she is mostly the quiet type and will just kind of watch along. but sometimes she can also show off her witty charms.
around paparazzi she just looks at the cameras and poses slightly. her movements are very minimal while taking pictures so she just does whatever she wants when they take pictures.

how they met: they meet in a training room either at sm or jyp and it was for the show. it was hella awkward and he was sorta intimidated by her. they greeted and bowed to each other. started a small conversation and just introduced each other. after he began to start planning and telling her the ideas for how to train the boy group.

first impressions:
at first he thought she was super intimidating and unapproachable because she looked kind of mad. they've met briefly during music shows but never one on one. but when she greeted him he thought her voice was actually quite nice.

for her he looked quite too handsome. way too good looking. he also seemed perky and bossy so she didn't smile much. also he was talkative and wouldn't stop. she noticed that he just kept going on and on and that he didn't even notice she was spacing off.

middle: here she opened up a little and actually liked having him around. it wasn't super awkward anymore. this time she talked way more and showed him just a little bit of her realy personality. she also liked his jokes so she laughed like an idiot at them. she loved making him repeat his jokes. she wasn't cold and silent with him now because all she could do was laugh and talk about what they had in common.
