And even that didn’t necessarily work. Rhonas reached out faster than Angrath’s chain, grabbing a human Planeswalker with a shaved head and metal-casting powers. She attempted, in the few seconds she had left, to summon her flying shrapnel to attack the God-Eternal’s tail to free herself. But it was all too little, too late. The shrapnel did no discernible damage to an Eternal of Rhonas’ size, and within seconds her Spark had been harvested. Gideon hoped that if nothing else, the Serpent would combust, as the other Eternals did when delivering their stolen Sparks up to Bolas. But no such luck. The God-Eternal had the power to harvest, deliver and still survive. He moved on, crushing two Simic biomancers without even trying.
