  12. Agi: eyo
  13. Haretsu: Man, I thought that Happs guy was dead
  14. Haretsu: not just knocked out
  15. Haretsu: damn
  16. Haretsu: Oleg's been torturing the fuck outta him
  17. Arte: *so we had four boar pelts worth 20 gp total right, and oh the berries*
  18. Arte: *should probably get those to Wooden Sword Ryu sometime*
  19. Haretsu: *well we ain't SELLNIG those berries*
  20. Haretsu: *sell nig, yes*
  21. Haretsu: *let's not go there*
  22. Hendrix: You arrive back at Oleg's wonderful land of discounts and other sorts of capitalisms, where there appears to be a commotion going on in the center.
  23. Haretsu: *and Wahwee has escaped*
  24. Haretsu: *by which I of course mean Lightkeeper*
  25. Haretsu: *c'mon man*
  26. Tarron: My, what could be happening today?
  27. Hendrix: hold your boots son
  28. Haretsu: *fine*
  29. Haretsu: *but I'll need to wash my hands once we get into town*
  30. Arte: I don't know, but I plan to soon. Let's go on in, what are we waiting for?
  31. Bastardi: *Pops popper* Happy birthday....scumbag.
  32. Spoony Davis: Happy birthday *COUGH* to you man!
  33. Haretsu: No reason I can see.'
  34. Eldrich: Happy birthday to you dear old Ravenclaw!
  35. Ravenclaw: *Crossed arms, looking on unamused*
  36. Laurie: *Swigs mug of beer* I'm gonna go batshit crazy today!
  37. Eldrich: *Points at Laurie* Hold on there! I know we're having a good time and all, but we're all still equally guests in this establishment, and thus should restrain ourselves as such.
  38. Tarron: A party! We have arrived at a pleasurable time indeed!
  39. Svetlana: Oh, well hello there! It's been a real crazy day today, so I'm more than glad you could make it.
  40. Haretsu: What's the occasion?
  41. Svetlana: It's the special day for a, erm, not-so-special person. I made a good amount of food for this occasion, but then dearest me, I only JUST realized I ran out of my supply of Moon Radishes!
  42. Haretsu: (( aw shit ))
  43. Svetlana: *Pushes fingers together* It may not be a big deal for today, but I know dear Oleg gets real cranky when he doesn't have his Moon Radish Soup
  44. Arte: Celebrating a bandit's birthday... Stranger things have happened, I guess. What's, uh, up with "moon radishes"?
  45. Haretsu: *well nigga, something tells me they're a type of radish*
  46. Haretsu: *maybe they're round, like the moon*
  47. Tarron: They sound delightful! Anything to do with the moon must be!
  48. Svetlana: A special radish native to Brevoy, it makes for some real nutritious cooking! Problem is, they grow about 16 miles south of here...
  49. Arte: Only sixteen miles?!
  50. Haretsu: *aw man, if only we had some sort of mobile cellular phone*
  51. Arte: *We just walked like, a fucking hundred*
  52. Svetlana: It wouldn't be too much to ask you to go pick up some radishes the next time you depart, would it?
  53. Svetlana: I only need about a, oh, basket full for now.
  54. Haretsu: Of course not. Rather wish you'd told us before we set out... we may have just walked by the patch earlier today.
  55. Tarron: Oh, no need in worrying, we would not have been able to carry them anyways!
  56. Tarron: We have no basket, after all.
  57. Svetlana: I have one or two lying around, so that'll be no problem. If it helps, I'll aide you with a 250 GP reward for your troubles.
  58. Haretsu: Right, we should pick up a few of those. I don't think these berries are taking too kindly to the saddlebags.
  59. Hendrix: You're handed a few baskets and place the berries into one.
  60. Arte: *Right we got here at the end of the day*
  61. Ravenclaw: *Looks into sky" Thanks, everyone. I don't know what I'd do without such good friends. I don't even mind if you wanna go crazy all over the place, like we did during those strongman contests back at the encampment that usually ended in about 2-3 bear maulings.
  62. Ravenclaw: (I just....really wish I could tell them....) *Looks into sky with tears in eyes*
  63. Ravenclaw: (My birthday....was last month)
  64. Arte: So! Stay here for the night, celebrate with these guys, get the berries to the old man tomorrow, then set out and get all those radishes while exploring. That sounds like a good idea, no?
  65. Arte: *poor Hufflepuff*
  66. Haretsu: *sure, after I'm done taking quite the piss*
  67. Haretsu: *shoulda done this before the session*
  68. Lightkeeper: *Strums not-guitar all over the place* Gooooood iddeaaaa to me!
  69. Tarron: It sounds wonderful to me! Oh, and a happy birthday from me as well!
  70. Tarron: *Hah, I could drink Harry under the table with my 14 Con (D)*
  71. Tarron: *Pansy*
  72. Tarron: *But yeah, let's have this party and all*
  73. Tarron: *Also jesus I nevern oticed how long Svetlana's neck was, which FF character is that*
  74. Hendrix: You party and drink the night away like true men and women and women who dress like men while Oleg stares on unapprovingly like he usually tends to do.
  75. Spoony Davis: *Drunkenly staggers over and puts arm over your neck* IIiii gotta say man, what IS that *burp* coat made out of anyway?
  76. Arte: *is he talking to Harry or Arte (HIPPO)*
  77. Spoony Davis: *Was talking to Arte, Harry just sorta moved over here*
  78. Haretsu: *yeah, leaning against this wheelbarrow with what I've got for a drink, mixing something up*
  79. Arte: (( you just mix gunpowder in with your drink ))
  80. Haretsu: >my drink
  81. Haretsu: >MY
  82. Haretsu: (( You misunderstand why I got sleight of hand ))
  83. Arte: Hahaha! It's the finest leather, of course! What else? It's of the best work around! They give em to the top cadets in the military!
  84. Spoony Davis: *hic* Goddamn the military! Able to afford such damn fine patchwork leavin' us lower classes in the dust. I swear, I could barely afford this dirty shirt on my back!
  85. Oleg: -I- paid for that shirt, asshole.
  86. Haretsu: (( So if someone were to unknowingly drink a disguise self potion, would they turn into the person decided by the brewer or just whoever they were thinking of at the time? (hmm) ))
  87. Tarron: (( well they wouldn't TURN INTO anyone, they'd look like them ))
  88. Haretsu: (( well, you know what I mean ))
  89. Hendrix: « 1d2 = 1 » I dunno, let's crapshoot this
  90. Hendrix: first one
  91. Tarron: (( Though Disguise Self is range personal ))
  92. Haretsu: (( Fun (chew) ))
  93. Tarron: (( So I dunno if it'd work with Infusion anyhow ))
  94. Tarron: (( not really any reason for it to not, I guess ))
  95. Haretsu: (( Not totally sure why it wouldn't indeed ))
  96. Tarron: (( besides not doing so when any other spellcaster uses it ))
  97. Haretsu: (( Personal'd just be... the person who drank the potion ))
  98. Haretsu: (( hippo ))
  99. Tarron: (( I ASSUME you mean -extract- ))
  100. Haretsu: (( well yeah ))
  101. Haretsu: (( I'm not doing an actual POTION here ))
  102. Haretsu: Hmm... *scans crowd inbetween mixing this up, apparently it just takes a minute, not bad*
  103. Bastardi: Poor old Garess. I think he done drank himself to sleep hours ago, and probably not because of the party.
  104. Tarron: Oh, nevermind that man! You two, you are guards, yes? Tell me of your battles! Surely, something has needed fending off while we are gone!
  105. Bastardi: Oh certainly. There was, uh....
  106. Laurie: *Rubs chin* Huh....nothing, really.
  107. Bastardi: Damn. Do you think every base is as dull as Oleg's is?
  108. Arte: Ah, you might have the right idea, David, was it! I don't need the military anymore! It's all me now!
  109. Bastardi: Really, when we're at this sensitive age, being bored is as bad as being tortured alive. Just like that man up there!
  110. Tarron: Oh, boo! No bears, even?
  111. Happs Bydon: *Sips tea with free hand* I've gotten used to it, really.
  112. Haretsu: (Now, which of these people can I have the most fun with... drunk enough not to question it, aware enough to realize in the first place.)
  113. Eldrich: Of course there won't be any bears running around. Seriously, developing patience is a big part of preparing for real life out there in the great big world.
  114. Eldrich: Being a guard or a handy worker is a job that can't possibly be fun. This may be a base out in bandit-infested lands, but apart from that, it's just like everywhere else.
  115. Bastardi: Not a single bear! I swear, I'm sick of seeing the same stuff every day.
  116. Bastardi: I just wish for once, something really unexpected would happen *Crosses arms*
  117. Arte: If you do happen to see one, be sure to take the thing out! We didn't, next thing you know, it was right in front of us again!
  118. Haretsu: *quickly mixes something else up*
  119. Arte: *Well shit nigger what're you doing*
  120. Arte: *and brb*
  121. Haretsu: *damn, who even HAS drinks out right now*
  122. Haretsu: *everyone's gotten off of the table, making my job harder*
  123. Hendrix: Uh, there's Davis and uh...Bastardi I guess.
  124. Haretsu: *well good, Davis just happens to be right in front of me*
  125. Haretsu: *which is more drunk (chew)*
  126. Haretsu: *also brb myself*
  127. Haretsu: *actually, I guess it doesn't matter*
  128. Haretsu: *lucky me, everyone's looking away from spoony*
  129. Haretsu: *walks past, casually sleight of hands a vial of extract into his drink*
  130. Haretsu: (Something unexpected, alright! Heh, every sip'll be a bit more unexpected. Now, hell am I supposed to do with the other one...? Ah whatever, that can wait.)
  131. Haretsu: *should I roll for this or whatever*
  132. Arte: (( stanley kuback's a backwork orange ))
  133. Spoony Davis: *Drinks mug* I swear, one of these days I'll be able to afford my own house and move out of this place with my girlfriend!
  134. Haretsu: *put Enlarge Person in his, I imagine it'll have a partial effect with every sip until it's all the way done*
  135. Ravenclaw: You...do realize we're being held here against our will, right?
  136. Hendrix: Bastardi isn't as smashed, maybe you should roll
  137. Tarron: Oh, bother! We'll make quick work of those other bandits, and then, what reason do we have to lock you up?
  138. Haretsu: Excuse me, coming through... so how'd you find yourselves guarding this place, anyhow? *nah, I'll hold on to my other one*
  139. Haretsu: *talking to Bastardi*
  140. Bastardi: It's basic training work, really. If you wanna be a knight of Restov, you always gotta do this menial work for years on end. Ol' Kessie here volunteered to lead us.
  141. Bastardi: I mean, bein' led by a total has-been like Kess here must mean they were really sending us out to die. But it seems the only thing threatening us here so far is sheer boredom.
  142. Haretsu: Hmm, I see. And this would be early in the training for you? Simple, mundane threats such as bandits and the occasional bear, nothing... pardon the expression, "magical" yet?
  143. Spoony Davis: @Tarron Oh, have we forgotten the whole "tried to take all your stuff" thing already? *hic* You people are the beeeest man, I swear.
  144. Arte: Hey, she said we! Oleg wants to keep you here, can't stop him! I really can't get mad at you for what you tried on me! I mean, you saw your boss and all, it wouldn't have worked anyways.
  145. Bastardi: Hmm, magic? Well, before I got here, I heard a group of evil monks and priests of a lesser-known goddess of hatred and spite and all that other bad stuff once hung out on the northern shore of the Tuskwater to the south.
  146. Bastardi: Hey, I bet there are still cultists out there, stirrin' their mean shit up, and they're behind the sudden rise of banditry out here!
  147. Laurie: I saw a Unicorn!
  148. Bastardi: Laurie there isn't a goddamn unicorn out here.
  149. Laurie: But-but I saw it with my own eyes!
  150. Haretsu: A Unicorn! You don't say?
  151. Laurie: Well okay, I sorta only caught a glimpse of it, I think...
  152. Tarron: Unicorn?! Really, now! They are supposed to be dazzling!
  153. Bastardi: *Shakes head* Everyone knows magnificent creatures don't come out here no more. They were all probably driven off by the bandits.
  154. Haretsu: Oh, well that's a shame. All we've seen on our travels have been, well, Mites. And I'm not convinced they count.
  155. Tarron: Those homely things? They put an awful swing on the term "fey"!
  156. Eldrich: Oh, Mites. I've seen plenty of those out here.
  157. Eldrich: There's a tribe of kobolds and a tribe of mites living somewhere in the hills. They cause nothing but trouble for everyone, not just us bandits.
  158. Haretsu: How far south has your company been? The tribe we saw was nestled in the roots of an extremely tall tree... we could barely see the top of it!
  159. Eldrich: Believe that's where the Mites make their lair now. That tree is called the Old Sycamore, and it's about as old as this land itself.
  160. Eldrich: Not too sure where the Kobolds live, but they can't be too far away from the tree.
  161. Haretsu: Old Sycamore... got it. Hey, is there any chance you know of a way to get over the river just a bit more to the south? We've plenty of area to explore before it's an issue, but we can't rely on that old hanging bridge forever. Particularly not when we've got a lion to manage.
  162. Eldrich: ....why were you using those bridges?
  163. Haretsu: Best option we had. Nettles' crossing... well, I'm sure you know.
  164. Tarron: Did you not say bridgeS? Is there anotehr way besides them?
  165. Eldrich: You uh...do realize just a few miles south from that bridge is the river crossing, right?
  166. Haretsu: *no, considering that a few miles south is... past the river*
  167. Eldrich: The river only runs about, like, 3 feet deep there.
  168. Haretsu: *east, west*
  169. Hendrix: NOPE, it actually is south!
  170. Hendrix: As the compass is positioned really strangelike on the map
  171. Hendrix: So basically, your northwest is your north
  172. Tarron: (( those bastards ))
  173. Haretsu: ...actually, no, we had no idea. Heh, good to get the local knowledge though! We'll be sure to mark that on the map.
  174. Tarron: My, how handy that will be!
  175. Tarron: There are no beasts in the water, are there?
  176. Eldrich: Well, sure glad I wasn't traveling with you. You have no idea how much I hate rickety bridges.
  177. Eldrich: I dunno, maybe. They probably won't bother with the river crossing though.
  178. Tarron: Outstanding! Thank you.
  179. Spoony Davis: *Shakes mug* Damn, is this thing out already?
  180. Tarron: (( beasts: *certainly do bother with the river crossing* ))
  181. Haretsu: *...smile creeps over face, turns towards Davis's voice*
  182. Ravenclaw: Woah now David, you've been drinking too damn much for your health. Are you sure you're gonna be okay?
  183. Haretsu: *yeah nigga, you Large now*
  184. Spoony Davis: *Hic* Damn, why are you getting all up in my grill like this? Don't think you can boss me 'round juss cuz it's your birthday!
  185. Haretsu: *oh crap, he's a violent drunk isn't he*
  186. Ravenclaw: All right, you've been in a reeeaaaal sour mood since drinking that. Come on, you're going back to bed.
  187. Spoony Davis: NO! (ANNOYED)
  188. Ravenclaw: Come on now, just take my hand....
  189. Spoony Davis: That's it, you're making me real angry!
  190. Spoony Davis: And you dooon't wanna see meee when I'm AAANGRRRY!
  191. Arte: Whoa, man! Settle down!
  192. Arte: (( he just becomes the hulk ))
  193. Haretsu: (...oh. Crap. Um.)
  194. Arte: (( damn it agi, why ))
  195. Haretsu: (( Eh, it's not like it's much ))
  196. Corrupt Davis Hippo Hippo Ololol: *Beats chest* ROOOOAAAAR
  197. Ravenclaw: AW SHIT
  198. Haretsu: (( clap ))
  199. Haretsu: (( http://paizo.com/prd/spells/enlargePerson.html ))
  200. Corrupt Davis Hippo Hippo Ololol: *PUNCHES RAVENCLAW INTO THE MILKY WAY*
  201. Haretsu: (( +2 Str, -2 AC, increase weapon damage ))
  202. Arte: (( makes sense ))
  203. Haretsu: (( ...or that. ))
  204. Ravenclaw: D'ooof! *Actually just crashes into the wall*
  205. Arte: (( +2 size bonus to Strength, a –2 size penalty to Dexterity (to a minimum of 1), and a –1 penalty on attack rolls and AC due to its increased size ))
  206. Arte: (( Dex might matter ))
  207. Haretsu: (( So basically, all it does is reduce AC by 2, increase damage output by 1, and increase weapon size ))
  208. Arte: (( uh, it lowers attack rolls ))
  209. Haretsu: (( Str makes up for it ))
  210. Arte: (( right, maybe, but only on Tuesdays ))
  211. Arte: What did you say to him?! Since when could he do THAT?!
  212. Corrupt Davis Hippo Hippo Ololol: *Beats chest* OOOG OOOG YOU NO MAKE DAVE MAD ANY MORE
  213. Eldrich: Dave, what the hell are you doing
  214. Corrupt Davis Hippo Hippo Ololol: *JUMPS OVER AND KIDNAPS ELDRICH*
  215. Haretsu: *bites lip, I'll explain afterwards* Well for right now we just need to- damnit!
  216. Eldrich: Dammit Dave
  217. Corrupt Davis Hippo Hippo Ololol: *Climbs to the top of stables, beats chest* *Tarzan yell*
  218. Tarron: Ohoho! My, my! He certainly is energetic!
  219. Bastardi: ....
  220. Bastardi: ...huh, didn't know he could do that.
  221. Eldrich: Maybe it's something he only did in the restroom when I wasn't looking.
  222. Haretsu: ...Well? You were saying you wanted something exciting to happen!
  223. Bastardi: Pfft, I heard from a collegue that -their- encampment was -way- more fun and exciting than whatever this is.
  224. Eldrich: *Sips leftover tea* As I was saying, an encampment is a place where you sit around and guard, not a place where you can reasonably expect something fun or exciting to happen.
  225. Eldrich: That "collegue" was probably exaggerating, I bet his base is just like ours. every bit as boring.
  226. Eldrich: In short, everyone who guards is bored out of their skull. They just don't wanna admit they're in a stifling environment so they don't have to face the fact they're meaning dull meaningless lives.
  227. Bastardi: *Clenches fist* Is it -too much- to ask for a little excitement here?
  228. Arte: This is what you talk about when you're being manhandled by the guy? Get him down from there!
  229. Laurie: Hmm, this certainly is an interesting situation...
  230. Haretsu: *checks wrist, why have watches not been invented yet* It should only last about two minutes, give or take.
  231. Oleg: Hey, what are you- OH GOD WHAT ARE YOU PEOPLE DOING YOU'RE MAKING A GODDAMN MESS GET DOWN FROM THERE YOU HOOLIGAN
  232. Eldrich: Sorry sir, I'm afraid this was a case of things getting way out of hand and I will try my best to make sure it doesn't happen again.
  233. Arte: Two minutes is more than enough, look at the guy! How do you even know that?! That just something you magic people can do?
  234. Corrupt Davis Hippo Hippo Ololol: ROAR STOP SPEAKING THINGS, DAVE SMASH. *Throws Eldrich at Arte*
  235. Eldrich: « 1d20+5 = 15 + 5 = 20 » oh my
  236. Arte: *Well that hits certainly*
  237. Eldrich: « 2d6 = 3 » I entirely forgot how these work, so take fall damage for me
  238. Arte: OOF! What the hell?! That's it, we're dragging his ass down!
  239. Haretsu: Well, it's a simple Enlarge Person extract is all, they usually aren't this potent...! Should I have waited until he was more drunk?
  240. Corrupt Davis Hippo Hippo Ololol: THAT'S IT, PREPARE TO GET SLAMMED ON LIKE YOU WOULDN'T BELIEVE
  241. Arte: WHAT?
  242. Corrupt Davis Hippo Hippo Ololol: *GOES UP THE TOP ROPES, FALLS DOWN ELBOW-FIRST* SLAAAAAM
  243. Haretsu: IT'S A PARTY TRICK.
  244. Siegfried: hurmph when'd the fat guy get here
  245. Spoony Davis: AAaaaaaam *lands on head* Ooof.
  246. Laurie: *Kicks David aside* Pffthaha, loser.
  247. Arte: Why couldn't he do that sooner?! BEFORE he threw the midget at me!
  248. Lightkeeper: Well, if something CAN go wrong...
  249. Oleg: *Fire in eyes* Oh you bet your ASSES you're gonna work 5 times as hard to clean up THIS here mess! *Cracks knuckles*
  250. Oleg: That goes for ALL OF YOU! Now clean this up THIS INSTANT!
  251. Bastardi: D'aaaw, way to ruin everything, stupid blondie.
  252. Tarron: *You mean Harry right (D)&*
  253. Haretsu: *naw, I'm a redhead*
  254. Haretsu: *I think*
  255. Haretsu: *auburn? Is that a thing?*
  256. Arte: *looks like yellow to me, auburn is brown* Argh, what? I didn't even do anything!
  257. Oleg: Oh don't you give me that preschool-level "Well it wasn't MY fault" drivel. You're gonna learn to take responsibility for your group just like everyone else!
  258. Haretsu: Don't mind me, I'm just going to... *quaffs the other one, inspects damage on roof*
  259. Eldrich: *Gets up, dusts off clothes* He's right. We were far too careless for today, and we should owe up to it like responsible adults.
  260. Laurie: Careful, you're gonna pop something off with all that sucking up you do (ﺧ益ﺨ)
  261. Tarron: My, no big deal! Or maybe there is, now! Tell me, is there a rag or broom around?
  262. Hendrix: The roof is pretty damaged, with debris and plankings thrown all about.
  263. Haretsu: *yeaaaah I'll just climb up here while it's still easy*
  264. Hendrix: It's gonna take the rest of the free night to get this all cleaned and get a reasonable amount of sleep.
  265. Haretsu: Someone want to pass me a hammer?
  266. Arte: Take responsibi--MY GROUP? Since when am I in charge of those buffoons! Do any of them look noble enough to serve under me? Argh, no sense arguing it if Tarron says so. *sure let's get a hammer from somewhere*
  267. Arte: *and presumably skip the repairing, we should probably do something this session*
  268. Haretsu: *maybe*
  269. Hendrix: quite
  270. Hendrix: After truckloads of back-breaking work, you get a good night's sleep and wake up to another boring day at the post.
  271. Haretsu: *rubs neck* Hey Arte, no hard feelings about that, right? It usually doesn't end up like that... typically the guy's just confused and we poke fun at him a bit.
  272. Arte: *what do you mean usually*
  273. Arte: *that's literally the first time you ever could have done it (D)*
  274. Haretsu: *hey, I've brewed potions (D)*
  275. Haretsu: Maybe it's because it was an extract instead of a proper potion? Then again, drunks vary in nature... I could've just been lucky up until now.
  276. Arte: Are they typically DRUNK? Don't do that again, no matter HOW it "usually turns out". Or you'll be discussing why it DIDN'T with Siegfried. We've got more than enough to do today without quibbling over this.
  277. Haretsu: ...well, I'm bringing it up because I imagine you could make use of something like that in combat. Perhaps not while riding Siegfried, of course. But... here, just take it and use it when you're ready. It takes a bit of my energy to maintain it out of my possession, but... I'm sure you'll put it to good use.
  278. Haretsu: Anyway. Let's get those berries to old Bokken.
  279. Haretsu: *and sell those hides, forgot about those*
  280. Tarron: My, you should be careful! If you were to go berserk like him, I'm not sure what would come of it!
  281. Hendrix: you better sell those hides
  282. Hendrix: Which are about 5GP each
  283. Haretsu: It's not a BERSERK potion, it just makes you larger.
  284. Haretsu: *sold already indeed*
  285. Hendrix: m
  286. Haretsu: That was all him.
  287. Arte: You aren't kidding about that. Not using this around you three until I figure out just what it does to me.
  288. Lightkeeper: Twenty four before my love and I'll be theeeere~ *Strums along*
  289. Eldrich: Hey, if it helps, he probably would have tried that even if he didn't suddenly learn to become big. He usually just stumbles upon himself though.

  328. Bokken: *Flips over, gets up*"You got what I asked for right? I'm runnin' reeeeaaal short on Fangberries right now, y'hear."

  344. Haretsu: (( so wait, the circle on the map ))
  345. Haretsu: (( is that still meant to be there ))
  346. Hendrix: It's a thing, I don't feel like erasing it
  347. Haretsu: (( Well. ))
  348. Haretsu: (( This is the part where I can actually get some of those potion recipes for myself. (hmm) ))
  349. Haretsu: (( >An alchemist can also add formulae to his book just like a wizard adds spells to his spellbook, using the same costs and time requirements. ))
  350. Haretsu: (( Oh shit what costs and time requirements ))
  351. Haretsu: (( let me check that one sec ))
  352. Haretsu: That's... quite the selection you have there!
  353. Haretsu: (( Spells Copied from Another's Spellbook or a Scroll A wizard can also add a spell to his book whenever he encounters one on a magic scroll or in another wizard's spellbook. No matter what the spell's source, the wizard must first decipher the magical writing (see Arcane Magical Writings). Next, he must spend 1 hour studying the spell. At the end of the hour, he must make a Spellcraft check (DC 15 + spell's level). ))
  354. Haretsu: (( So damn that'd take a REALLY LONG TIME to add them all in ))
  355. Haretsu: (( and I'm not going to force y'all to wait around that long ))
  356. Hendrix: Well, do what you please.
  357. Tarron: (( back ))
  358. Haretsu: How's the bear problem been? We killed just the one off to the east of here last time we were around.
  359. Tarron: (( you DO have to actually be able to cast the spell ))
  360. Tarron: (( also are you keeping track of your book ))
  361. Tarron: (( spells take up pages (TIPSY) ))
  362. Haretsu: (( W-what (FEDUP) ))
  363. Tarron: (( yeah, 1 page per levle (HIPPO) ))
  364. Tarron: (( 0th take up 1 ))
  365. Haretsu: (( There's no actual MENTION ))
  366. Haretsu: (( of pages ))
  367. Haretsu: (( for Alchemist at least ))
  368. Tarron: (( regular spellbooks have 100 ))
  369. Tarron: (( as you use the same kind as a Wizard or Magus or whatever ))
  370. Haretsu: (( It doesn't mention anything about pages for an alchemist (crs) ))
  371. Tarron: (( it's just...under Magic ))
  372. Haretsu: (( ...nor does it for a Wizard ))
  373. Tarron: (( not in the alchemist page ))
  374. Haretsu: (( Why the hell does that have its own page ))
  375. Haretsu: (( seems pretty important ))
  376. Tarron: (( Because it's Magic, motherfucker ))
  377. Tarron: (( lots of shit on Magic ))
  378. Bokken: *Rubs beard* "Haven't had any problems lately, but dern it do they still go through my berries like crazy. I swear, I'm starting to think this is all that temple's fault!"
  379. Tarron: Oh, a bear temple?
  380. Haretsu: (( mip ))
  381. Tarron: (( DC35: SHIT NEVERMIND THEY HAVE THEM, RUN. ))
  382. Tarron: (( Damn, I can't make that. ))
  383. Tarron: (( but yeah ))
  384. Tarron: (( you follow these rules ))
  385. Tarron: (( Writing a New Spell into a Spellbook Once a wizard understands a new spell, he can record it into his spellbook. Time: The process takes 1 hour per spell level. Cantrips (0 levels spells) take 30 minutes to record. Space in the Spellbook: A spell takes up one page of the spellbook per spell level. Even a 0-level spell (cantrip) takes one page. A spellbook has 100 pages. Materials and Costs: The cost for writing a new spell into a spellbook depends on the level of the spell, as noted on Table: Spell Level and Writing Costs. Note that a wizard does not have to pay these costs in time or gold for spells he gains for free at each new level. ))
  386. Tarron: (( lotsa shit on magic ))
  387. Bokken: "Hrrmph! I remember there was this old fool running an Erastil shrine in the forest, but now that shrine has been overrun by a giant bear! Must be some sort of, like, bear shrine now!"
  388. Haretsu: (( SEEMS UNNECESSARY. ))
  389. Haretsu: (( BUT OKAY. ))
  390. Tarron: (( you don't have to pay for spells you get via level up ))
  391. Tarron: (( but they still take up room ))
  392. Tarron: (( even if there somehow are no spellbooks to copy from, this exists ))
  393. Tarron: (( A wizard can also research a spell independently, duplicating an existing spell or creating an entirely new one. The cost to research a new spell, and the time required, are left up to GM discretion, but it should probably take at least 1 week and cost at least 1,000 gp per level of the spell to be researched. This should also require a number of Spellcraft and Knowledge (arcana) checks. ))

  395. Tarron: (( all round there ))
  396. Haretsu: A bear shrine? It might be worth investigating at some point.
  397. Haretsu: Can't say I've ever heard of such a thing.
  398. Arte: You say that again once one gets a hit on you. Don't want to see a bunch of bears any time soon.
  399. Haretsu: Hey, hey, I wasn't suggesting storming the thing. Just giving it a look over.
  400. Bokken: "It's gotten pretty dern hard to find due to all the vegetation everywhere. You'll have to go actively look for it yourself."
  401. Tarron: We will be sure to! However, I do not think I am alone in wishing to inspect those peculiar radishes!
  402. Lightkeeper: "Radishes seem not to wait for any man nor woman this day and age..."
  403. Bokken: "Well, if you plan on-" But then suddenly, another huge explosion erupts from the hut.
  404. Bokken: "Dirtied ditches! That kind of explosion could only be-"
  405. Tarron: *that'd do ti*
  406. The Smooze: YOU CAN'T STOP US
  407. Haretsu: *OH GOD*
  408. Bokken: "YER DARN TOOTIN I CAN!"
  409. Bokken: The scientist pushes the smooze back into the hut and punches it like a madman. "Sorry youngin's, I'm gonna be busy right now!"
  410. Arte: ...MOVE! Everyone, go!
  411. Haretsu: ...how on earth has that man not gotten himself KILLED yet? *YEAH RUN RUN*

  420. Arte: (( maybe ))
  421. Hendrix: And thus, you make it to the Radish patch
  422. Tarron: *time to get raped by Kobolds*
  423. Hendrix: A large patch of delicious moon radishes grows in an arrowhead-shaped clearing here. However, it appears you have some unexpected company.
  424. Haretsu: (( dunno how unexpected it was. ))
  425. Tarron: *We getting a map or what, going to ASSUME they're kobolds but hey*
  426. Hendrix: I entirely forget what map was used last itme
  427. Tarron: (( I think some field with flowers in it ))

  438. Arte: *Hell do you have against that token Maptool*

  440. Haretsu: *
  441. Arte: *yeah it fixes after being moved*
  442. Tarron: (( >forgetting your face ))
  443. Haretsu: Either way, it seems these are some popular radishes.
  444. Tarron: (( >1+2012 ))
  445. Tarron: (( shigggigiigigigigigi ))
  446. Tarron: Oh, but we simply must get to them! I wish to see just how closely these are related to the moon!
  447. Nicklerick: The kobolds appear to be lazing around, somewhat queasy-looking.
  448. Haretsu: (( Right ))
  449. Haretsu: (( they're just -SICKENED- ))
  450. Nicklerick: They lie on their backs, with radish remains all around them.
  451. Haretsu: (( >permanently increases Max HP by 5 and all other stats by 2 ))
  452. Haretsu: (( WHY GAME ))
  453. Haretsu: (( THAT IS TOO GOOD (D) ))
  454. Nicklerick: They sit in front of the big radish patch, which seems to be the source of all their near stomach-bursting woes.
  455. Arte: In any case, these shouldn't put up much of a fight. Can't we just walk over and grab some of the radishes?
  456. Haretsu: ...yeah, I don't see them being able to do much about it.
  457. Lightkeeper: "They haven't noticed us yet~. Nevertheless, Kobolds are the cowardly type, no?"
  458. Tarron: Why, I'm not sure! Are they?
  459. Haretsu: ...heh, wanna give that extract a try, Arte? Grow to the size of that guy from last night and give them a nice war cry?
  460. Arte: Hahahaha! You think I need something like that to scare off a few overgrown lizards?
  461. Haretsu: Nope, but the extra size might make the looks on their faces all the sweeter.
  462. Haretsu: It's a nice testing grounds for it anyway.
  463. Arte: After that guy's display last night, I don't particularly trust that concoction. If I'm going to "test" it it's not going to be around you.
  464. Haretsu: How about we all take several steps back then? Really, I'm not worried about it. I'll just remember not to mix those with alcohol in the future.
  465. Arte: What you think doesn't matter, nor does whether you
  466. Arte: 're worried about it. You weren't worried about it last night. If I don't need to use it, I shouldn't, if something could go wrong.
  467. Arte: If those were bears, I'd think about it.
  468. Nicklerick: « 1d20 = 10 »
  469. Nicklerick: « 10+5 = 10 + 5 = 15 »
  470. Haretsu: ...so if I'm getting this right, you'd rather use it in a situation where you HAVE to rely on it?
  471. Tarron: Oh! What are the lizardmen thinking now?
  472. Nicklerick: *Looks back*
  473. Nicklerick: *Shrieks in Draconic*
  474. Tarron: *Well

  491. Tarron: *turns to yerawizard* Oh, it is the language of the dragons! They're all so amazing...Um, these AREN'T dragons, but I suppose they speak the tongue, as well?
  492. Nicklerick: (THAT'S IT)
  493. Nicklerick: (I KNEW WE COULDN'T TRUST BIG ONES. WE WILL DEFEND THIS RADISH PATCH TO THE END.)

  604. Hendrix: Thankfully there doesn't seem to be any DC50 survival checks to pick the radishes without taking 5d6 damage, so you may pick as many basketfuls as you please.
  605. Haretsu: *let's pick "A few baskets" full*
  606. Hendrix: and the radishes are, well, radishes.
  607. Tarron: *inspects, cuts one, there anything special on the inside*
  608. Hendrix: they have a sort of spicy taste to them
  609. Tarron: (( damn brb aggin ))
  610. Hendrix: it had radish stuff on the inside.
  611. Tarron: (( back ))
  612. Tarron: Oh, how disappointing! I thought they would have some lunar connection...
  613. Tarron: *and you lot are superdead it appears such*
  614. Hendrix: Super duper duper ded
  615. Haretsu: (( was just waiting for you to get back really ))
  616. Arte: They're just radishes, after all. If they were holy, or special or something, would people really be cooking them in stew?
  617. Haretsu: (( but apparently I developed a mighty need to piss while doing so ))
  618. Lightkeeper: "Hey, people have cooked sillier things." *Gathers radishes*
  619. Hendrix: You gather up a few basket fulls of yummy radishes
  620. Hendrix: to the map screen awaaay
  621. Arte: *well do we need to head straight back to Leggo my Eggo's or should we explore another coupla areas*
  622. Lightkeeper: Maybe we should get those radishes over before they spoil...
  623. Haretsu: *rolls to know if they gon' spoil anytime soon*
  624. Arte: You heard the man. Let's go.
  625. Haretsu: huh what why am I not impersonated
  626. Haretsu: okay
  627. Haretsu: didn't even change the map
  628. Arte: (( I uh ))
  629. * Agi rolls secretly to you: « 1d20+9 = 17 + 9 = 26 » They gon' spoil or not => Invalid expression: « 1d20+9 = 17 + 9 = 26 » They gon' spoil or not.
  630. Arte: (( ctrl+x'd you by accident on the old man ))
  631. Arte: (( and just pasted again ))
  632. Arte: (( hippo ))
  633. You whisper to Agi: these radishes don't tend to spoil easily, and probably aren't going to any time soon
  634. Haretsu: (( Hell'd you even HAVE ownership for, whatever ))
  635. Arte: (( you gave it to me when you went to Murrica ))
  636. Arte: (( ie, Mcdonalds ))
  637. Haretsu: Looking more closely, spoiling isn't going to be an issue with these, though I've sure Ms. Svetlana would like her crop shortly.
  638. Arte: It can't hurt to stop by for a minute, anyways.
  639. Hendrix: You arrive at the post in a moment's notice. Everything seems to be going as usual save for a new face chatting things up with Keston.
  640. Siegfried: shit elkay sorry bout that
  641. Tokens dropped onto map 'OlegsTradingPost'
  642. Tokens dropped onto map 'OlegsTradingPost'
  643. Tokens dropped onto map 'OlegsTradingPost'
  644. Bastardi: Welcome back. I think there's some guy that was looking for you folks earlier.
  645. Bastardi: There he is, making small talk with old Kessie.
  646. Tarron: Looking? For us? Whatever for?
  647. Bastardi: *Shrugs* Like hell I know.
  648. Haretsu: *yeah, why look for us, we kinda suck*
  649. Arte: We do this every damned time. One of these days, we'll actually walk in without standing around forever.
  650. Haretsu: *you and your metahumor*
  651. Jhod Kavken: *Rubs eyes* Oi, there you are. You men and *ahem* woman must be the exploration charter I've heard ever so much about.
  652. Jhod Kavken: Allow me to introduce myself. I am Jhod Kavken, a priest of Erastil.
  653. Siegfried: did you just call me a woman
  654. Haretsu: *are you a woman*
  655. Siegfried: only reason I could think of to cough while doing so
  656. Siegfried: well I DO have some pretty bitchin locks
  657. Haretsu: *kind of a frilly doohickey on your left side*
  658. Siegfried: that'd be Saber
  659. Arte: Heard about? Good, bad, neutral? What kind of news are we stirring up?
  660. Haretsu: Good to meet you, Jhod. My name is Haretsu, and... well, the others can introduce themselves. I'm the group's resident alchemist.
  661. Jhod Kavken: You can say that for, well, reasons, I I've come to this post to offer some help. Just around here, of course.
  662. Haretsu: Even more help? They've certainly been generous with the guard as of late.
  663. Jhod Kavken: But enough about me. I have a favor to ask. I need you to seek out something for me. A lost temple belonging to my faith.
  664. Haretsu: (( Bears. ))
  665. Haretsu: (( We have a BEAR worshipper. ))
  666. Arte: (( Good ))
  667. Tarron: A temple of Erastil? My, my! Haven't we heard of something similar just recently?
  668. Tarron: *Least I'm pretty sure someone said something about a temple of Erastil*
  669. Tarron: *Think it was the kid*
  670. Tarron: *Unless Bokken DID mention the name and not just bears*
  671. Tarron: (( ah, Bokken did ))
  672. Jhod Kavken: I know it may sound strange, but I ask of you to confirm the location of this temple.
  673. Jhod Kavken: I'll warn you ahead of time though. This temple is guarded by a rather persistant bear. Has been for the lognest time.
  674. Haretsu: You don't say...? Old man Bokken was talking of a temple guarded by the same.
  675. Jhod Kavken: And let's just say...*Gendo poses* there's something that isn't quite "right" about this bear.
  676. Tarron: Is not the entire species perpetually antagonistic?
  677. Tarron: Whatever could you mean by that? Are we dealing with a form of superbear?
  678. Haretsu: (( I HOPE NOT (D) ))
  679. Jhod Kavken: *Stares* Did you not hear me? Something isn't right about it.
  680. Haretsu: Nothing more specific than "not right?"
  681. Hendrix: It appears this man is leaving out something rather important, and probably isn't going to tell you unless you have a more trustworthy way with words.
  682. Tarron: My oh my, yes, further information would be most kind of you!
  683. Tarron: *Well, niggers*
  684. Hendrix: that is to say, book requires Dimplomacy check from someone
  685. Tarron: *I uh, do have Diplom--m*
  686. Haretsu: *someone's go- goody*
  687. Tarron: « 1d20+12 = 10 + 12 = 22 » *Yeah I got this covered, I'll loop it into my former sentence*
  688. Jhod Kavken: *Looks down* Oh what am I doing? I can't leave someone like you in the dark like this.
  689. Jhod Kavken: A while ago, when I had just travled into Brevoy, I had a particularly vivid dream about an overgrown temple of Erastil guarded by a huge, angry bear.
  690. Jhod Kavken: When I woke up, I felt an irresistable tug to the south, and it led me here, where I soon after learned of your group and your charter.
  691. Jhod Kavken: *Scrunches back up again* That's why I need you to look out for this temple for me. I feel this is my only chance...
  692. Arte: Making sure we're on the same page here. A dream...showed you this temple of Erastil? And a giant bear? Then you wake up and can't stop yourself from going toward it? So you want to send US there? You can't go yourself because....?
  693. Jhod Kavken: I'm unsure if it truly exists. If you find it, the first thing you should do is take me directly there.
  694. Jhod Kavken: I'm a priest, not a scout after all.
  695. Arte: So, what about when we get you there? What then
  696. Arte: ?
  697. Jhod Kavken: Erastil shall show me the way.
  698. Jhod Kavken: That's all I can share with you for now. Carry on your merry selves, and don't get too hurt out there.
  699. Arte: He's already doing that and you aren't listening to him. We'll be showing you the way there. Well, I'm interested in this place, so count yourself lucky.
  700. Tarron: My, my, we will help you! As soon as we help Svetlana! Do any of you know where she is? We have gotten those radishes for her!
  701. Tarron: (( that darned agi and his month-long pisses ))
  702. Jhod Kavken: Svetlana? She must be outside the house or something...
  703. Tarron: *well since aggs died guess I'll go see her and give her the radishes*
  704. Arte: *Or I will, I can actually CARRY baskets without having to catch my breath every three seconds*
  705. Svetlana: Ah! You arrived just on time! It was almost time to cook, and I was afraid I'd have to go another day without moon radish soup!
  706. Svetlana: Why, these should be more than enough for the whole month! I can't thank you harder.
  707. Svetlana: Well, yes I can. I still have that 250 GP reward for your troubles here....
  708. Arte: No, no, we got the radishes for you. About lucky there were any left, with the Kobolds there. Didn't take as long as I'd have thought.
  709. Haretsu: *strikes you with a smooth criminal*
  710. Tarron: Are you sure? That seems a lot! Are these valuable radishes?
  711. Svetlana: Oh those crazy Kobolds. I've had run-ins with them before, not very pleasant to be around.
  712. Haretsu: Whatever it costs to keep a smile on Mr. Oleg's face, eh? Do they only grow in that area...? I'm surprised you haven't got a crop here.
  713. Svetlana: They're a special kind that only grow around this area. Not too sure what their market value is, but I do know Oleg can't get enough of them!
  714. Haretsu: (( « 1d20+8 = 12 + 8 = 20 » Well damn how much are we ripping the lady off ))
  715. Haretsu: (( right that was supposed to be secret ))
  716. * Agi rolls secretly to you: « 1d20+8 = 11 + 8 = 19 » mpraise => Invalid expression: « 1d20+8 = 11 + 8 = 19 » mpraise.
  717. Hendrix: You do not know anything about these radishes other than they're tasty and grow around here.
  718. Haretsu: *if they grow around here, why don't they grow around -HERE-*
  719. Tarron: Welll....Okay! I won't stop you!
  720. Tarron: (( this is sixteen miles from the corp ))
  721. Tarron: (( crop* ))
  722. Haretsu: (( That's a fair distance to walk, since vehicles apparently don't exist ))
  723. Svetlana: Hmm, a crop of Moon Radishes could be nice to grow around the post....but we're traders, not gardeners.
  724. Arte: (( carriages do, but this is pretty much untamed wilderness ))
  725. Haretsu: (( She could have like a little vegetable garden ))
  726. Arte: (( Don't think you can just plant the radish itself aggs ))
  727. Arte: (( you'd have to transport them, and that's kinda tough to do ))
  728. Haretsu: (( Hell if I know anything about radishes ))
  729. Haretsu: (( Seems to me, if you've got the seeds and you've got the soil, what's stopping you ))
  730. Arte: *guess we'll have to split the money (SAD)*
  731. Haretsu: (( Other then there not being anything around here ))
  732. Haretsu: (( or well ))
  733. Haretsu: (( any SPACE to plant them ))
  734. Arte: (( You saw nerd^3 play farm simulator ))
  735. Haretsu: (( on the map at least ))
  736. Arte: (( imagine that IRL ))
  737. Arte: (( that's farming ))
  738. Hendrix: Maaaaaaaaan
  739. Arte: (( it ain't easy ))
  740. Arte: (( BUT EITHER WAY ))
  741. Hendrix: I could totally go for some Daikon right now
  742. Haretsu: (( some what ))
  743. Arte: (( air conditioning ))
  744. Arte: (( but with die ))
  745. Hendrix: I mean goddamn, I need some Daikon right now
  746. Haretsu: (( well go get some whatever the fuck Daikon is ))
  747. Arte: (( it's like ))
  748. Hendrix: but I don't think any place around here sells or serves it
  749. Arte: (( a carrot radish ))
  750. Hendrix: damn you Mitsuwa for being a billion miles away
  751. Haretsu: (( CRABWALK TO MITSUWA (D) ))
  752. Arte: If you need us for anything else, just ask!
  753. Arte: *DAMN IT, GUESS I HAVE TO SPLIT THE MONEY (SAD)*
  754. Svetlana: Oh don't worry yourselves too hard!
  755. Haretsu: *DAMNED STRAIGHT YOU DO, GIVE SOME TO LIGHTKEEPER, HE'S POOR AS FUCK*
  756. Arte: *so uh, 62 gp and 5 sp each*
  757. Arte: *Right probably out of rations by now*
  758. Arte: *should really get those*
  759. Hendrix: 400 stir fried, seasoned Daikon points
  760. Haretsu: 119gp whoo
  761. Haretsu: no idea how the fuck we're supposed to have 3000 by level 3
  762. Haretsu: that seems scaled pretty damn high
  763. Haretsu: maybe if we go dungeoning we could get some (D)
  764. Arte: (( items ))
  765. Arte: (( it's not flat money that wealth is measured in ))
  766. Hendrix: how much exp do you have now
  767. Haretsu: 3400
  768. Arte: (( he meant 3k moolaa ))
  769. Hendrix: oh lel
  770. Arte: (( or however you spell that ))
  771. Haretsu: (( Moolah? ))
  772. Haretsu: (( And sure, "wealth," so I've got my starting 100 gp in items, plus that, plus a potion (D) ))
  773. Haretsu: (( So far, and I'm just saying this is how it is, but you're the only one to have actually got an item you can use ))
  774. Arte: *CAN use, but have not effectively yet*(
  775. Arte: *Anyhow, let's get to splorin*
  776. Haretsu: (( That said, I should probably bugger off to Bokken's place ))
  777. Haretsu: (( get some formulae ))
  778. Hendrix: a splorin' we shall go
  779. Haretsu: *gets 4 days of rations first, fuck you guys (D)*
  780. Arte: *I have 6 now*
  781. Arte: *mip--well SIEGFRIED does*
  782. Haretsu: *THEN I SHALL GET 6 AS WELL (DHAT)*
  783. Arte: *LK YOU GET SOME TOO YOU'VE GOTTA BE STARVING BY NOW*
  784. Haretsu: *did we...*
  785. Haretsu: *ever get a GENERAL DIRECTION*
  786. Tokens dropped onto map 'Import 1 of Grasslands'
  787. Haretsu: *for this bear shrine*
  788. Tokens dropped onto map 'Import 1 of Grasslands'
  789. Tokens dropped onto map 'Import 1 of Grasslands'
  790. Hendrix: nope
  791. Thrice: "Go south, nigga"
  792. Hendrix: just "in the forest"
  793. Thrice: Direct quote from Erastil himself
  794. Tokens dropped onto map 'Import 1 of Grasslands'
  795. Tokens dropped onto map 'Import 1 of Grasslands'
  796. Haretsu: *sigh* "In the forest..." There are any number of forests around here.
  797. Arte: We won't find it unless we explore everywhere, it seems.
  798. Arte: (( we: *find it immediately with no exploration* ))
  799. Haretsu: That said, it'll hopefully be close to Bokken's place. That's where the bears are swarming after all.
  800. Haretsu: *looks at map* We should be able to get the area between here and there completely scouted on this run.
  801. Tarron: Do you think so? We may try! However, it may be across the river, as well. That was in a forest. *I think that was in a forest*
  802. Tarron: *If not, scratch that statement*
  803. Hendrix: It was near a forest, but wasn't in one
  804. Tarron: *as in the place with Skeleton Jack or w/e*
  805. Hendrix: nor was that a forest
  806. Tarron: *Spoony Davik it seems*
  807. Haretsu: *so yeah I'm suggesting getting those six hexes kinda sandwiched there totally explored*
  808. Tarron: *ah well shit*
  809. Tarron: Oh, we will be gone a week this time! I hope they do not worry.
  810. Arte: Somewhere around there, if we're going to explore all of those.
  811. Arte: Could be up to two, if we get unlucky.
  812. Hendrix: So, which way you goin
  813. Arte: If you need to, Tarron, feel free to hitch a ride on Siegfried. He won't mind.
  814. Arte: (( southeast I guess, to the land of fried chicken ))
  815. Haretsu: At least we'll have some definite progress we can point to. It might be the closest... sixth, but nonetheless.
  816. Arte: *welp let's go to the SE then, square right next to us there*
  817. Arte: *m*
  818. Hendrix: explore or just strolling?
  819. Haretsu: *explorin' this whooole chunk*
  820. Haretsu: *course charted (D)*
  821. Arte: (( we have to start somewhere ))
  822. Arte: (( which is where we are ))
  823. Donkey: Could also nab the hex to my left
  824. Donkey: if we wanted
  825. Arte: (( We will yes ))
  826. Arte: (( but it seems shit goes down in this one ))
  827. Hendrix: While exploring, you find a den strewn about with nearly 200 feet of thick webbing containing the skeletons of baors, deer, bears, and a few humans.
  828. Arte: *FRIGGEN WEBS YO*
  829. Donkey: *CHRIST*.
  830. Arte: ...I don't remember those spiders back there eating baors, whatever the hell a baor is!
  831. Hendrix: It's hard to see anything else in this nest
  832. Arte: *yes yes boars*
  833. Haretsu: ...I don't think we're dealing with chew spiders here.
  834. Haretsu: (( « 1d20+9 = 4 + 9 = 13 » BUT SHIT WHAT ARE WE DEALING WITH ))
  835. Haretsu: (( RIGHT ))
  836. Haretsu: (( SECRET ))
  837. * Agi rolls secretly to you: « 1d20+9 = 1 + 9 = 10 » WHAT ARE WE DEALING WITH NIGGA => Invalid expression: « 1d20+9 = 1 + 9 = 10 » WHAT ARE WE DEALING WITH NIGGA.
  838. Tarron: O-oh, no, I should think not...
  839. Haretsu: *just had to type that out twice*
  840. Haretsu: (( Unknown command: "RSEC « 1d20+9 = 5 + 9 = 14 » WHAT ARE WE DEALING WITH NIGGA". Try /help for a list of commands. ))
  841. Haretsu: (( apparently ))
  842. Haretsu: (( it does not parse capitalization ))
  843. Haretsu: *also you did take my Enlarge Person extract, right*
  844. Hendrix: You can't really see too much unless you want to get at all in a sensable range of the den.
  845. Hendrix: As of right now it's only within your sights
  846. Haretsu: *yeah I'd like to approach to get a better look but BE REASONABLE AND DON'T SPAWN ME TWO FEET AWAY FROM DEATH.*
  847. Arte: *bring LK along, he actually invested in Stealth*
  848. Arte: *though really, we could all go*
  849. Haretsu: This demands a closer look.
  850. Hendrix: New map, go to wherever LK is

  853. Haretsu: *the one directly to the northeast, I assume*
  854. Hendrix: yep that one
  855. Hendrix: So yes, you get in closer, roll a perception to see what's up
  856. Haretsu: *hell'd Thrice go*
  857. Hendrix: Where DID that man go
  858. Haretsu: *I don't even really HAVE perception, come on man* « 1d20+4 = 12 + 4 = 16 »
  859. Haretsu: *well I might*
  860. Haretsu: *kind of*

  868. Arte: *I don't get it as a class skill, so, uh, no*
  869. Tarron: *well ass*
  870. Haretsu: *you don't even have Wis? (hmm)*

  873. Haretsu: *ah*
  874. Haretsu: Nothing...?
  875. Tarron: I'm sure I checked near enough everywhere! I can't see a single spider!
  876. Siegfried: « 1d20+5 = 3 + 5 = 8 » *right I exist but I have to nat 20 to beat a 24*
  877. Siegfried: *naw*
  878. Haretsu: Maybe not, but... ergh. I'm more than happy to skip this place for now.
  879. Arte: Bit afraid that trying to leave will disturb them. We can try it, though.
  880. Lightkeeper: « 1d20-2 = 1 - 2 = -1 » I shall use my terribad percep to save you all
  881. Haretsu: Hopefully they share the smaller ones' distaste for light.
  882. Tarron: *nigga I rolled a 24*
  883. Tarron: *You can't beat that, just don't even try (D)*
  884. Hendrix: Damn, when did you roll that
  885. Tarron: *If that don't do it nothin will*
  886. Haretsu: *indeed, Nat 20 ain't matter*
  887. Haretsu: *...she rolled it ages ago*
  888. Haretsu: *you hippo*
  889. Tarron: *right before you rolled a 22*
  890. Giant Trapdoor Spider: Well congrats, you just managed to see the giant spider that was about to sneak up on you

  991. Tarron: (( hippo ))
  992. Tarron: Spiders, they do not like light, yes...? This will make it easier to see, as well, so YOU can go in there... *daylight on a bolt, but can't shoot it this turn, because standard actions and shit*
  993. Tarron: *still sheds bright light in a 60-foot radius*
  994. Haretsu: *could light one of mine*
  995. Tarron: *well you can use it if you want*
  996. Haretsu: Terry, give one of my bolts a light. Let's get a warning shot out there.
  997. Tarron: *I already cast it on mine*

  999. Haretsu: *you can like*
  1000. Tarron: *I mean, shit*
1001. Haretsu: *it takes time to load it*
  1002. Haretsu: (HIPPO*
  1003. Haretsu: *
1004. Tarron: *HANDS IT TO YOU, LET'S NOT GO THERE*
  1005. Haretsu: )
1006. Tarron: *You'd have to load it any damn ways*
1007. Haretsu: *why can't you just retcon it*
1008. Tarron: *And it's only a move action*
1009. Haretsu: *that takes zero effort*
1010. Tarron: *nigger let's not go down this road take your bolt*
1011. Haretsu: *unloads the already loaded bolt, reloads the lit one, moves, and manages to fire off a shot then, because you refused to just light mine*
1012. Tarron: *You uh, can't move*
1013. Tarron: *if you load it*
1014. Tarron: *as it's a move action to reload a crossbow*
1015. Haretsu: *this is why I told you to JUST LIGHT MINE THAT WAS ALREADY LOADED.*
1016. Tarron: *you can take a five foot step though*
1017. Haretsu: *WHY IS THAT SO DIFFICULT (D)*
1018. Giant Trapdoor Spider: keep this up and the spider eats your waifu
1019. Tarron: *So yes, just..step in between Arte and LK*
1020. Tarron: *there's no difference except that you're FARTHER AWAY FROM THE GIANT SPIDER (HIPPO)*
1021. Haretsu: *it needs to go right down the middle of the cave (D)*
1022. Tarron: *This ain't literal mapping, there isn't a "cave"*
1023. Haretsu: *instead of hitting a wall on the inside and accomplishing nothing (D)*
  1024. Tarron: *it's the den*
1025. Tarron: *EVEN IF IT BREAKS IT'S STILL SHEDDING LIGHT*
  1026. Haretsu: « 1d20+5 = 2 + 5 = 7 » *FIRES, WHO EVEN CARES*

1032. Haretsu: *THERE IS NO TARGET*
1033. Haretsu: *SHE DIDN'T NEED TO ROLL*
1034. Giant Trapdoor Spider: you're aiming at something, right
1035. Haretsu: *I'M AIMING INTO THE THING THAT IS LIKE*
  1036. Haretsu: *A MILLION*
1037. Tarron: (( aren't you aiming into the den? No you're not going to miss the hole, I'd hope, you didn't even nat one ))
1038. Giant Trapdoor Spider: a gorillion dollars
1039. Tarron: (( it does not exactly have a high AC ))
  1040. Haretsu: *yes that*
1041. Giant Trapdoor Spider: but yes, the arrow goes into the cave
1042. Haretsu: *it's AC 5 to hit a particular square*
  1043. Haretsu: *with splash*
1044. Giant Trapdoor Spider: GOD I AM SO ANGRY NOW
1045. Giant Trapdoor Spider: WHY IS EVERYTHING LIGHT
1046. Tarron: *you really, REALLY should have fucking GONE TO WHERE YOU COULD LEGALLY MOVE*
1047. Tarron: *because then it would not be able to get to you without provoking an AoO from Siegfried and Arte*
1048. Haretsu: *I TOLD YOU TO LIGHT MY GODDAMN BOLT (D)*
1049. Haretsu: *WAS THAT SO HARD (D)*
1050. Tarron: *AFTER I LIT MINE*
1051. Tarron: *Be quicker on the uptake*
1052. Giant Trapdoor Spider: you guys are autists
  1053. Giant Trapdoor Spider: seriously
  1054. Haretsu: *RETCON NIGGA (D)*
  1055. Haretsu: *RETCON (D)*
1056. Tarron: *I KNOW HE IS BEING ONE*
1057. Tarron: *I AM TRYING TO UNKEEP HIM DOING THAT*
1058. Tarron: *HE REFUSES, IT's THE SPIDER'S TURN*
1059. Haretsu: *no, you're trying to make me do nothing on my turn*
1060. Haretsu: *by handing me a bolt*
1061. Haretsu: *so I have to unload, reload, move, and then fire*
  1062. Haretsu: *which is unpossible*
1063. Tarron: (( Agi the only fucking difference is that you would be one square in front of Arte right now. ))
1064. Tarron: (( Which you should be. ))
1065. Tarron: (( You can load the bolt, take a FFS, and then shoot just fine. ))
1066. Giant Trapdoor Spider: *Spring attacks*
1067. Tarron: (( Jesus goddamend christ agi. ))
1068. Haretsu: *I'd have to unload it first.*
  1069. Haretsu: *which I can't.*
  1070. Tarron: (( That is a free action. ))
1071. Haretsu: *why is it free to unload*
1072. Haretsu: *that makes no sense*
1073. Tarron: (( Had you listened to me, you would not be getting spring attacked. ))
  1074. Tarron: (( But noooo. ))
1075. Haretsu: *hell it'd be harder to unload it than reload it*
  1076. Giant Trapdoor Spider: « 1d20+3 = 19 + 3 = 22 » nom
1077. Tarron: (( cause it has no benefit mostly ))
  1078. Giant Trapdoor Spider: « 1d6 = 6 »+poison yum
1079. Haretsu: *lets you change ammo type*
1080. Tarron: (( He didn't case Shield, so that probably hits indeed ))

1082. Haretsu: *and yes it hits*
1083. Giant Trapdoor Spider: Bite—injury; save Fort DC 14; frequency 1/round for 4 rounds; effect 1d2 Strength damage; cure 1 save.
  1084. Haretsu: « 1d20+6 = 6 + 6 = 12 »
  1085. Haretsu: *m*
1086. Tarron: (( it might be relevant on the first turn, but let's not be autismal here. ))

  1097. Arte: (( If that's what you meant ))
  1098. Haretsu: (( that's what I meant yeah ))
1099. Arte: (( Just look it up, you're an alchemist how do you not know the rules for poison ))
  1100. Giant Trapdoor Spider: orite
1101. Arte: *Yeah not going to chance mounting as a free action*
1102. Haretsu: (( because I've not had a chance to use it yet, mostly ))
1103. Arte: *can I charge in there*
1104. Arte: *or is there something stopping me, or would it be fuckingstupid*
1105. Arte: *ie, are there webs everywhere*

1283. Tarron: *can't heal ability damage, but, you know*
1284. Lightkeeper: I swear, that sort of thing could get a man fired.
1285. Haretsu: *indeed* Hope it's not too much to ask for a bit of a healing touch here, Tarron?
1286. Arte: I think the spider would bite you for those if it could, Light.
  1287. Tarron: Yes, yes, of course! « 1d8+2 = 2 + 2 = 4 » *no*
1288. Tarron: *eh w/e you'll heal the other two through the night (D)*
1289. Haretsu: *well I'll be at full tomorrow morning*
1290. Haretsu: Thanks... though the damage done through the poison's just going to have to take time.
1291. Punhead Fortune: That must be one insecure spider then
1292. Punhead Fortune: he should spend less time on the web
  1293. Haretsu: « 1d20+5 = 4 + 5 = 9 » No
  1294. Haretsu: m
1295. Tarron: Now, um, may we leave? This place is uncomfortable-feeling, even with that gone!
1296. Haretsu: *looks over* Is it dead? We can leave when it's dead.
  1297. Arte: « 1d20+4+2 = 13 + 4 + 2 = 19 » Yes, it's dead.
  1298. Arte: « 1d8+6 = 7 + 6 = 13 »
1299. Haretsu: Then we can leave.
  1300. Arte: *I hope it's dead anyways*
1301. Giant Trapdoor Spider: I will always live on in your heart
1302. Arte: *only in Harry's, where your children are even now growing*
1303. Haretsu: *well yes, some of your poison probably IS in my heart now*
  1304. Haretsu: *DAMMIT NO.*
  1305. Haretsu: *NO (D)*
1306. Arte: *so yeah, I assume we're ending here*
1307. Haretsu: Fuckin spiders man (D)
1308. Arte: Spiders indeed give us a fuckton of trouble
  1309. Arte: Damn it
  1310. Arte: STILL
1311. Arte: nobody thought to buy a fucking tent
  1312. Haretsu: ...
  1313. Haretsu: hippo
1314. Donkey: I saw the whole thing
  1315. Donkey: it was hilarious
1316. Punhead Fortune: Good thing Harry didn't accidentally hit you with his bombs
1317. Punhead Fortune: your ass would be fired for that
1318. Donkey: resisting urge to murder
1319. Punhead Fortune: Murder? I hardly even know her!
  1320. Arte: *murds you*
  1321. Punhead Fortune: exactly, cupcake.
1322. Hendrix: So yeah, pretty silly session overall
1323. Donkey: We got a good amount done (hmm)
1324. Donkey: And yes, Tirk, it does get more autismal
