  1. [13:40] {LONG DISTANCE TO: Senna}: Your presence is required. - Sak'noth
  2. [13:41] Sak'noth has placed Acorn (x1) into the chest.
  3. [13:44] Sak'noth has placed Acorn (x183) into the chest.
  4. [14:02] Having finished his short encounter with the prisoner, Senna quickly made way for the tower. There was work to be done, was there not?
  5.
  6. He didn't want to be late, especially since Sak'noth was requesting his presence.
  7.
  8. "Hello."
  9.
  10. The boy peeked behind the tower's entrance, before entering in full. His gaze levying itself upon the form of Sak'noth, ever curious.
  11.
  12. Their last encounter had been an enlightening one, the boy observing a ritual he was most unfamiliar with. In the days since he had written various notes on what he observed, compiling them into several different notebooks.
  13.
  14. "I'm ready to work, if you want to get started now."
  15.
  16. Would it be a ritual like the last time? Or would something else altogether be requested of Senna? Both the unknown and the uncertainty excited the boy, though he was as eager as ever.
  17.
  18. This experience would only serve to push him past his bounds, ultimately.
  19.
  20. "I hope I'm not late, I was speaking to a prisoner that K'thul is handling. Some buff guy. But I'm here now."
  21. (Senna)
  22. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  23.
  24. [14:08] With the arrival of the young man, at last the demon moved - for until now he was like an immobile statue, awaiting in place the arrival of his assistant.. While regenerating his battle wounds.
  25.
  26. Something received earlier while hunting.
  27.
  28. Soon after aweakening, a wave of his hand was made and at this imps emerged from the corners of the room, in order to bring ingots forward, as well as some Amber - materials they would use to make the base shape of the ring.
  29.
  30. Which, Senna would be using and demonstrating his manufacturing skills.
  31.
  32. "Let's not waste time on this stage, come." The being demanded, before entering the area where his forge was located - "We will now forge the ring, I want unique details to this one - of twisted foliage, due to what this one will represent..
  33.
  34. The Twisted Nature of the World.
  35.
  36. You'll use these for it." A pause, he looked at the ingots and gems.
  37.
  38. Mythril and Orichalcum, one quite tough and also moldable, while the other was the most magically refined they could use at the moment - perfect for a piece of equipment that would contain the winged beast's nefarious ether. The gems, on the other hand, would give the terran touch, in addition to refinement - which they needed for this.
  39.
  40. "Any questions before we begin?" He asked, giving him time to answer.
  41. (Sak'noth)
  42. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  43.
  44. [14:08] {Item} You drop Mythril x5.
  45. [14:08] {Item} You drop Orichalcum x5.
  46. [14:09] {Item} You drop Amber x25.
  47. [14:23] It was a plethora of resources, all materials which Senna had worked with at one time or another. Though to construct a ring?
  48.
  49. It would be a delicate process, given the relative size.
  50.
  51. "I am assuming that I will be utilizing measurements to fit a human finger, but we can always resize it after the process too."
  52.
  53. "I'll begin."
  54.
  55. A firm nod to Sak'noth, before setting to his work. The boy was the type to speak to himself whilst working at the forge, as opposed to working silently.
  56.
  57. It was nice that Sak'noth was here for company, at the very least.
  58.
  59. "I'm going to start the forging process by molding the metals down, to ensure purity in the material."
  60.
  61. At least in his work prior, he had encountered various stones interlaid within, thus he sought to ensure the purest quality of metal. Taking both ores to the forge, its fires running hot and well over the melting point.
  62.
  63. It was then that he took each ore, piece by piece, placing it gently within a circular cylinder container, before placing it into the fiery inferno itself. The ore was quick to melt down, leaving only the pure material itself, primed for molding the ring.
  64.
  65. "I think I'd like to include half of the amber into the band of the ring itself, while saving the other half to decorate the top of the ring when I'm done. So the ring will have a metallic appearance, with golden amber on its top to depict the twisted foliage."
  66.
  67. "Is that alright?"
  68.
  69. Still in the middle of his melting process, he inquired of Sak'noth quickly.
  70. (Senna)
  71. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  72.
  73. [14:30] "That's right, you can use whatever templates you like for this - even your fingers for measurements will certainly do the trick." The being informed, taking a corner on which he sat.
  74.
  75. His body was covered by the wings and only his head was shown, with his innumerable eyes watching the crafter at his work - how would he do it, what would be accomplished, what tools used? He would now discover his new assistant's modus operandis.
  76.
  77. As required.
  78.
  79. A way of cataloging and then focusing on the types of jobs he would provide the young man with - after all.. Sak'noth was a leader now and as such, he must organize those below him into their areas of expertise in order to improve performance of the horde they commanded.
  80.
  81. Thus, ensuring that everyone had something to do.
  82.
  83. "Do as you wish, as long as the end product is satisfactory - I don't care what means and methods are used." He replied after listening to his words.
  84.
  85. In this, the creature then began to write, under its wings, some things on a notepad and also letters, which he would need to send soon.
  86.
  87. Stuff relevant to other matters he had to resolve.
  88.
  89. "We will place the Demonic Crystal Acorn at the top." He made it clear, thus answering the doubt - "But around you can put the amber as you wish." Gesturing with his hand at the end of his word, he fell silent to allow the young man to continue working.
  90. (Sak'noth)
  91. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  92.
  93. [14:31] {Item} You picked up Orichalcum x5. Dropped by Sak'noth.
  94. [14:31] {Item} You picked up Mythril x5. Dropped by Sak'noth.
  95. [14:31] {Item} You picked up Amber x25. Dropped by Sak'noth.
  96. [14:42] "Very well. I know there are different methodologies to this, but I'm going to employ one I learned from my own practice."
  97.
  98. He had created decorative rings in the last few months, prototypes in preparation. In case Sak'noth called upon him to do the forging himself.
  99.
  100. "I'm going to include some of the amber, in that case."
  101.
  102. Half of the amber taken, before being placed inside of the cylinder held within the raging inferno of the forge. Quickly melting down, alongside both the mythril and orichalcum.
  103.
  104. It would produce a golden tinted metallic band, he hoped.
  105.
  106. "While that melts, I'm going to focus on creating my mold for the ring itself. It'll be a simpler process to ensure and preserve the integrity of the band itself."
  107.
  108. Leaving the forge altogether, the boy quickly moved over to the anvil now. Taking a sheet of thinner metal, before gripping a hammer within his right hand. One that had been heated prior to the process.
  109.
  110. "I'm going to utilize this sheet of metal to cast a mold for the ring. It will be noisy."
  111.
  112. Without further ado, the boy began to strike the sheet of metal, thinning it out and making it more pliable. It was much weaker than the mythril and orichalcum thus it would be perfect for this specific task.
  113.
  114. Senna thinned the metal enough to where it would be capable of being engraved, albeit not too thin. Setting the hammer aside, he quickly took a chisel, before engraving a circular shape, identical to the measurements of his own ring finger.
  115.
  116. "I have the mold, I will now pour the heated metal within."
  117.
  118. A nod, before setting into action his plan. The cylinder contained retrieved from the fiery forge, before pulling it towards his anvil. The boy then poured the melted contents of the cylinder into the casted mold.
  119.
  120. "Now we give it a short minute to settle, after which I will strike the cast delicately. The cast is made of a thinned, more brittle metal, so it will crack off without damaging the ring itself."
  121.
  122. "After which I will solder the ring shut completely, as well as smooth out the inside and outside."
  123.
  124. Waiting for a moment, the material settling into the mold, hardening in the process.
  125. (Senna)
  126. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  127.
  128. [14:49] As the young man worked, the demon continued to ponder. The letters from before had been completed and now, nothing was left for him other than that. Yes, he was thoughtful about the future as usual and one such topic.
  129.
  130. It would now be widespread.
  131.
  132. "In the future your help will be requested once more, because if this project brings out what I seek - we will do something else, similar but more twisting." The being informed, opening its wings and raising its hand.
  133.
  134. A clawed finger was then used to point at Senna's head, a symbolization obviously due to what he had in mind - being something related to the brain, the head of an entity.
  135.
  136. "A tiara or crown, one that can be placed on the beasts of this world - switching, twisting their physiology and mind, to create beings that will serve me.
  137.
  138. And bring what I seek.
  139.
  140. An experiment, unique and quite distinctive." A few nods would follow his words, as by now it seems they were waiting - " Great, keep up the good work, this shall be ready soon..
  141.
  142. Then we rest, then we work." The voice of the demon came, before falling silent again.
  143. (Sak'noth)
  144. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  145.
  146. [15:03] While Senna waited for the cast to settle, he pondered the words of Sak'noth. He sought to control? Was that the purpose of this ring as well?
  147.
  148. It would make some sense, given that he poured his very essence into the acorn itself. It was a tether, in a sense, magically speaking. While Senna could only hypothesize, it seemed to be a good estimation.
  149.
  150. "Very well. I'm willing to assist with that in the future, should it need to be done."
  151.
  152. It couldn't be much more difficult than the ring, could it? Perhaps even easier, given it would be a much larger construction.
  153.
  154. "No matter.. I'll finish this."
  155.
  156. With that said, the boy took his chisel, before poking at the cast. It appeared to be hardened enough, keeping it's integrity inside of the mold itself.
  157.
  158. "It's cooled down. Now I'm going to carefully remove the outer shell. Piece by piece, until the casted ring is exposed."
  159.
  160. Sweat visible on his forehead, his gloved hand shifting upwards to wipe it away. It was an arduous, tiring process, but he was in his element. Enjoying his work, even if it was for a nefarious purpose.
  161.
  162. With hammer and chisel, he chipped away at the brittle, outer shell. It would likely take up to an hour, breaking away the mold, before getting to the casted piece.
  163.
  164. Though soon enough was it visible.
  165.
  166. "Ah-"
  167.
  168. A reflective, golden band, glinting under the lights of the tower. It was not yet complete, but it was already quite pretty.
  169.
  170. "I'm going to solder it shut, utilizing the open flame and my mana."
  171.
  172. It was then that Senna brought the makeshift ring over to the forge itself. Placing the ring on a sheet of hardened steel, before placing it over the open flame.
  173.
  174. With concentration, he utilized his mana to direct the flame to the edges of the ring itself, ensuring it would enclose. It was a method to solder, without utilizing gas or electricity, a more rustic technique, instead relying on his magical prowess.
  175.
  176. "There, now I'm just going to smooth it out, utilizing a polishing stone to make sure it's at least comfortable to wear."
  177.
  178. With the ring enclosed, he brought it back over the anvil, utilizing a polishing stone he retrieved from his bag. Quietly did he work now, delicately sanding down the ring to the point where it was smooth enough to be worn on the finger.
  179.
  180. It also gave it a more circular shape, the golden band prepared.
  181.
  182. "I think it's ready now. All that's left is the designs. I plan to use the amber to create orange-ish vines, slithering along the band to the acorn which will be placed at the top."
  183.
  184. "I can do that now.. or rest, and we can do the finishing touches and designs after."
  185.
  186. But at least the band itself was complete.
  187. (Senna)
  188. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  189.
  190. [15:08] "With what I plan to create, we will have a larger and stronger army - capable of spreading greater chaos across the lands of Meranthe." Thus, securing their demonic dominion.
  191.
  192. The corruption of the land and as well as, opening the path to what Sak'noth sought.
  193.
  194. Regardless.. He watched as Senna continued the work, molding, cooling and finally - finishing the ring. Which was what he expected, of course but missing the final touches that would come soon.
  195.
  196. For now, they would rest.
  197.
  198. "We'll finish this in the next step, where you'll add the gems and I'll insert the Demonic Crystal Acorn, as well as imbue it with my ether.
  199.
  200. To strengthen the object." He explained before flying to a seat, landing on this - " But as said, that is for another time." Therefore, that stage was complete.
  201.
  202. And soon they would have The Twisted Nature.
  203. (Sak'noth)
  204. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  205.
  206. [15:11] "Understood."
  207.
  208. Senna wasn't certain if he wanted to be part of something so chaotic and damaging, but this was his home. Whatever might transpire, he'd at least be there to bear witness, to study what would come of Sak'noth's ambition.
  209.
  210. In the end the boy was a researcher, a blossoming scientist, he'd not pass up on the opportunity to learn.
  211.
  212. "Just let me know when you want to do the finishing touches, as well as decorating the ring itself."
  213.
  214. Given that it was partly his creation, Senna desired for the ring to be aesthetically pleasing. Whatever its effects might be, he'd ensure that much at the very least.
  215.
  216. "Until then, Sak'noth, it was a pleasure."
  217.
  218. A dip of his head, before Senna made way out of the tower.
  219. (Senna)
