  1. Headlights illuminated the face of the building, before shutting off, and plunging it back into darkness. A car door opened, and a man dressed in blue stepped out. A black belt, containing handcuffs, a taser, a flashlight, and a baton, was affixed to him.
  2. Shutting his car door, Mike walked towards the building, heading for the glow of the glass doors. The wind rustled outside, chilling him in his thin uniform. Shivering, he picked up his pace before reaching the front door. Through the glass, he saw a few janitors mopping and cleaning.
  3. Upon entering, one looked up with a bored expression. His eyes glanced over Mike's uniform, and he quickly looked down, lips set a bit more straight than before, eyes hidden by his uniform's visor. Mike frowned, before heading towards his office. He passed through the west hall this time, examining the various posters on the walls.
  4. Most were clearly old - torn and frayed, peeling at the edges, and covered in a reasonably-sized layer of dust. Near the middle of the hall, just past a door, were an array of children's drawings. Most were horrendously butchered versions of the characters on stage. Some of them were downright creepy. Moving on, he continued past more ancient pictures and memorabilia, before turning left into the office.
  5. It was dim in the office. A crooked desk sat in the middle of the room, and a chair behind. A metal fan whirred on top, along with a post-it-note, written in blue pen. Walking to the front of the desk, he sat in the chair, and read.
  6. "Hey Mike! We managed to get an old tablet working again, right in time for your first shift! It's in your desk drawer. You'll figure out how to use it.
  7. From, Garrett."
  8. Squinting through the messy cursive, Mike raised an eyebrow at the new reveal. He pulled the drawer out, picking up a generic tablet from inside. It was covered in fingerprints, and there was a single button on the side. Pressing it, the screen illuminated, with a basic UI-and-footage setup. On the top, the time read 12:00 AM.
  9. His first shift had started.
