 Simon Cape, a writer turned swordsman by the crumbling metal city he finds himself entombed in. The sins left its streets disturbed and empty. As if a choking virus had swept through the once bustling city leaving it a lifeless husk of its former self. After being bested by Velo, a member of the Hiten school, Simon was happy to accept the offer of being taken on as Kin's student.

 Being taught the basics of Hiten over the course of weeks  by training with fellow Hiten students and Kin himself. Simon now seeks to steadily progress in the Hiten arts so he could earn cash protecting the city and to gain fame. Most importantly, so that he can finally protect himself from the deadly events that seem all to common in the city.
