  3.
  4. to strip the audio
  5. (CMD) (-AN = mute audio) (-i input file) (-c copy for codec - copymeans use existing codec) (output file)
  6. ffmpeg -an -i boris_video.mp4 -c copy boris_altered_video.mp4
  7.
  8. you can use similar to strip video by changing "-AN" to "-VN"
  9. ffmpeg -vn -i boris_audio.mp4 -c copy boris_altered_audio.mp4
  10.
  11. then to amalgamate these two files together
  12. ffmpeg -i boris_altered_video.mp4 -i boris_altered_audio.mp4 -c copy boris_merged.mp4
  13.
  14. HOWEVER there is a better way (do it all in one go)
  15. ffmpeg -an -i boris_altered_video.mp4 -vn -i boris_altered_audio.mp4
  16.
  17. (with its so far)
  18. using the MAP command we will use the "1st input 0 (as computers look at 0 as being the first number) as the video input
  19. and the "2nd input 1 (as discussed computers are weird) as the audio input
  20.
  21. -map 0:v
  22. -map 1:a
  23.
  24. then the codec command
  25.
  26. -c copy boris_altered_speech.mp4
  27.
  28. togther this looks like
  29.
  30.
  31. ffmpeg -an -i boris_altered_video.mp4 -vn -i boris_altered_audio.mp4 -map 0:v -map 1:a -c copy boris_altered_speech.mp4
  32.
  33.
