- Robin looked over his shoulder and saw the scratches where he’d hit the ground. “You uh, you might want to see a healer about that.”
- Mac nodded, long enough for his arms to relax. ‘It’s fine. Just some surface damage. Put some ice on it and it’ll be fine.’
- “Ice? Ice, I can probably do ice.”
- Mac cocked his head. Robin dug into his cloak and pulled out a tome and started flipping through it.
- “Yeah, yeah. Let me see it?”
- Mac shrugged, and accepted, turned around and pulled his shirt off. Robin… paused. To the point where Mac almost turned back around to check on him, but he quickly enough cleared his throat and spoke.
- “Frost.”
- Wait, Frost?
- A wave of cold splashed across Mac’s back. At first it was relieving, the pain of the cuts numbed and the heat fell away. Then, all too quickly, it started being too much. The cold stung, worse than the cuts did, the skin quickly became not numb in the ‘no pain’ kind of way but numb in the ‘no nothing but pain’ kind of way.
- Mac hissed and spun and slapped Robin’s hands away and took a few steps to the right just to be clear of the cold air.
- “Sorry!” Robin said, immediately. “Sorry! I tried to hold it back, really! Guess these are, uh, combat spells.”
- Mac grit his teeth. The pain slowly washed away. It took him a moment, but he eventually signed,
- ‘I’m gonna go see if I can find a healer.’
