Who is Purple Tinker you ask?

Purple Tinker was the organizer of the first Bronycon.

Before I begin I want to mention that this article in no way represents any of the staff at Canterlot Gardens. This is my own personal opinion after painstakingly gathering information and systematically getting banned from every facet of Purple Tinker's life on the internet.

At the end of this article I will leave links to a few chat logs and some pictures, and you can decide for yourselves what to believe.

This article is MY experience, and why I think Purple Tinker needs to calm the fuck down or get the fuck out.

I'm going to start off by summarizing this whole mess.

Purple Tinker is a crook, a liar, a bully, and an all-around generally horrible person.

How do I know this?

It all started about a couple of months ago when I first signed up to go to Canterlot Gardens. I found a thread on 4chan about Purple Tinker, one of the many threads she named a "hate thread".

Now, I'm a regular browser of /mlp/, mostly for the Anon in Equestria threads. Yeah, it's a weird place, but honestly FiMFiction is no less weird.

I've been browsing 4chan for years, and none of the boards are as hospitable or good natured as /mlp/. On the surface it seems a like a community of rogues and assholes, but once you get past all the stupid memes and in-jokes it's a tightly knit community, as a lot of the communities in this fandom are.

A lot of them separate themselves from the name 'brony' and a lot of them don't.

Honestly, it's just another messed up place on the internet to have fun.

This is why I believe they know their shit, and why I take everything Purple Tinker says with a truck load full of salt. This thread covered a lot of stuff on why Purple Tinker was such a bitch.

As far as I've gathered from the chat logs and all sorts of fun little screenshots, Purple Tinker was a constant issue at Bronycon, and a big reason it was such a clusterfuck was because of her inability to manage the con staff and the money.

Not only this, but she was taking money from the convention for personal use.

Her taking money is not a matter that's up for debate, she admitted it herself, and she took enough that it became morally questionable.

Instead of denying it, she freely claims the money belonged to her and her alone, since she was totally the only one that worked on the con and deserved to get paid a lot more than people who worked twice as hard as she did. I'm not saying she didn't work hard, but she took more than she should have for the work she did put in.

As far as I am concerned this makes her a thief, yet she claims "You cannot steal from yourself."

All this eventually led to a falling out with the staff she was working with. Now, from what I've gathered someone from the staff posted a private conversation with Tinker on the internet.

I can't remember what the conversation was about, but it pissed Purple Tinker off.

I'm not going to say it was wrong or right to post that to the internet, since I wasn't involved. I myself have done some stupid shit in the heat of the moment.

However, this does not excuse Purple Tinker's next move.

She literally vowed to kill Canterlot Gardens.

Her endless grudge turned a chunk of the community against a lot of good people who were working at Canterlot Gardens, and it spread like a poison.

Not only that, but it happened almost overnight.

Tinker made damn sure none of her goons were going to attend this convention.

She then proceeded on a mad campaign to cut Canterlot Gardens away from the fandom. She sent letters to the MLP production team, to Hasbro, and she started gathering her followers as some sort of psuedo army to take down CG.

Equestria Daily advertised CG? Her and her followers boycotted it.

Everfree Northwest supported CG? Tinker and her little minion Mjolkk spread rumors that EFNW was a gathering point for the worst kind. They said there were assaults, sexual harassment, and general bad shit going on.

Then the actual guests of honor and staff started stating that their wasn't anything bad that happened, and people started calling out Tinker and Mjolkk on their bullshit. Link below.

Like the doormat that she is Mjolkk backed down, but Tinker continued her campaign of hatred against the entire fandom, who she somehow felt had wronged her.

Anyone going to CG was a homophobic transphobic asshole in her eyes, regardless of whether she had spoonfed them her bullshit.

She wielded her transgender status as a weapon against her enemies, claiming that they hated her because she was transgender. In reality they just hated her because she is a horrid human being.

It was around this time I started a guerilla campaign against her. A waste of time? Perhaps, but I don't regret doing it.

I went into her deviantart profile and left a biting comment, linked at the bottom. After this I began to speak with her followers one by one and let them know the other side of the story.

A lot of them were disgusted with Purple Tinker, yet some still laid claim to this bizarre notion that she was a a good person.

She claimed the CG staff hated transgender people, when there were a few transgendered staff literally working on CG.

She had no logic, and she knew it. Much like a feminist, she played the victim card to get sympathy from her loyal little followers.

For a time it worked.

Then the truth started to come to light.

Now she has lost many followers on DeviantArt and Twitter, and she still fails to realize just how pathetic and sad she really is.

Even the brony fandom has its limits.

The entire time I was at Canterlot Gardens the staff there were considerate, nice, and a real blast to hang out with. Purple Tinker's claims are, as far as I am concerned, laid to waste at my feet. I don't care if it's all circumstantial evidence, I've seen enough to know what I believe. Even circumstantial evidence has a habit of piling up and making a damn solid case.

As a closing note, I must add that I spoke with one of the CG staff. I won't say who for sake of his privacy, I doubt he wants me throwing his name out there.

We talked about Purple Tinker, and he confirmed they have, and still are, receiving regular death threats and other such harassment from her.

he also confirmed that she stole money and harrassed the people she used to work with on a regular basis.

This is my two cents, and until I see sufficient proof I'm sticking with it.
