Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts & Bolts 100% FAQ

Q: What is considered 100% for this game?

A: everything in the “Game Totals” screens when you select “View Statistics” in the pause menu (Except for anything listed in L.O.G.'s Lost Challenges). This includes:
	-131 Jiggies
	-97 Trophy Thomas Trophies
	-1900 Notes (that is not a typo, you need to collect 1900 notes littered around the overworld and in the stages)
	-72 Jinjo Challenges (in the stages themselves)
	-6 Jinjos released (in Showdown Town)
	-6 Minjos returned (in Showdown Town)
	-50 non-Stop 'n' Swop crates (Stop 'n' Swop crates require owning another game)

For clarity, here is a list of things that are NOT required:
	-anything gotten through the “L.O.G.'s Lost Challenges” DLC
	-the 7 Stop 'n' Swop Crates
	-Beating Klungo Sssavesss Teh World
	-Completing Jinjo Bingo
	-Buying any parts or Blueprints from the shop

Q: I thought you didn't want to do this unless you got paid a bunch to do so. What changed your mind?

A: I still kinda don't to be honest, the reason I decided to do it was because someone finally decided to have initiative and do a marathon idea I've had for the longest time, but never had the time or desire to initiate it. From December 1st to the 15th a marathon called “Really Really Long A Thon” will be going on. Like the title likely implies, the theme is really long speedruns. Not only that, during the course of the entire marathon Baffan will be running Baten Kaitos 100% during it. For those who don't know, Baten Kaitos 100% is a 2 week long speedrun because there's 1 item that requires you to be playing for around 2 weeks in order to get it. That means there's a LOT of downtime compared to actual gameplay, perfect for having other games being played during it!

I always told myself if I ever got around to doing this idea I would do Nuts & Bolts 100% during it, so I couldn't just refuse to submit just because I haven't gotten a lot of money to do so yet. Also, it's not like I won't get any benefits by doing this run, as the marathon will be streamed on the SpeedRunsLive Twitch page, so regardless of how you feel about SRL as a website, the twitch page still will likely pull in a huge amount of viewers, which in turn will most likely give me at least a decent boost in terms of followers and average audience. Yay growth!

Q: That's kind of a shitty reason

A: You know what else is shitty? Nagging someone constantly to do something they weren't thrilled to do in the first place I don't wanna hear this hypocritical preachy bullshit kiss my ass

Q: Wait, how come you didn't wanna do it in the first place?

A: Because certain people kept fucking nagging me and assuming I was obligated to waste my time routing and running something I wasn't thrilled to do only for the sole fact that I've put a lot of time into speedrunning this game compared to almost everyone else and the entitled attitude pissed me the fuck off.

Another big reason that stopped me originally there was a mission in Terrarium Act 2 that was a revival of Saucer of Peril of Banjo-Tooie fame. The problem with this mission is the requirement to get a Trophy is ridiculously hard and tight to achieve, and it took me fucking forever to do my first time. Somehow though after quite a few 131 Jiggy runs I've been able to get the trophy consistently, so I guess it just requires a little too much practice then it deserves.

Also spite aside routing out collecting 1900 notes alone is gonna be a nightmare, not to mention everything else I have to route. Also collecting notes is a pain in the ass because of the awkward physical properties associated with it. Meaning, They can sometimes be pushed not only through items such as suck n blow but sometimes they'll also be touched by the vehicle without immediately registering as being collected. That would get really obnoxious really fast.

Q: So are we gonna see you do runs of this regularly? What's your goal?

A: No. My goal is to get this routed for Really Really Long A Thon. I will be doing the run on http://twitch.tv/speedrunslive on Monday, December 11th around 5pm est. I'm not going to be doing a practice run beforehand, nor will I plan on doing more runs after the marathon is over. I will likely place the $250 barricade back up afterwards, and also being harsher on people if they ask me to do more 100% runs, because it's fucking annoying.
