- FEM VS. CORV
- RAGNAROK VS. CAPTAIN PLANET:
- * On Corv’s R1, why is Captain Planet actually strong (for the tier). Good lifting all around and ok (yet vague) striking power + durability, coupled with heat for days. Heat that melts stones and metal structures sounds hella nice against fake Thor. I’m not entirely convinced on the “actually gets stronger with Fhor’s lightning which negates Fhor’s in-tier hits” argument but if Fem fails to properly counter it, it might work and simply shatter Ragnarok’s chances of winning.
- * Fem’s R1. He attacks Cap’s durability weirdly, as I don’t think any of the 3 linked feats are a durability anti-feat or a hard cap on what he can take - in two of those he isn’t even hurt. Fhor’s offense is indeed very good and seems mostly dependant on his lightning as Corv argued in his R1. If the lightning argument fails, that’s some nice striking. Good lifting for Cap but no showings of it being used in combat; good heat but same stuff. “This is a completely baseless claim. Captain Planet has no feats for being healed by electricity, none whatsoever. His singular interaction with electricity suggests nothing of the sort.” makes sense.
- Corv’s R2 is an attempt to restablish the physicals mostly as well as a “lightning sucks and I strike and lift good” still.
- * Fem’s R2, while I don’t entirely buy the “Captain Planet is in character so he won’t fight good” argument from Fem - cause it’s a damn tourney everyone will fight I don’t fucking care if you are Gandhi or Jesus you are fighting -, “The lifting strength and heat attacks are worthless as they are not used in a combat situation in literally a single feat Captain Planet has.” is a good fucking point. I don’t think Cap will let himself get beaten to death like a puppy but I doubt he will be melting or crushing his opponents to death. The sodium carbonate feat is also, as Fem points out, vague.
- * The debate follows mostly these same points. Can or can not Cap, in character, vaporize and mog his opponents, and is or isn't the sodium carbonate feat good.
- VERDICT: Ragnarok wins. Captain Planet can certainly lift a lot, but his striking is limited to punching a big ball of salt - a seemingly nice yet vague and hard to quantify feat. Fake Thor, on the other hand, had multiple highly destructive and clean cut feats that suggest he could injure Cap with each strike. I also didn’t buy the argument that Cap will absorb the lightning and even heal from it, since he doesn’t have showings in that sense. I don’t see Captain Planet melting Ragnarok to death with his fire or bear-hugging Ragnarok until he’s brutally crushed. He would fight, yes, but not in such way.
- RAGNAROK WINS.

- QUICKSAND VS. IRON MAN
- * Punches, explosions, sonics and electricity won’t work on Quicksand, according to Corv’s R1. Quicksand makes storm that difficults Iron Man’s flight. His only option is heat, which he’ll have to use immediately and at a large scale to take her down. Seems OK so far, but I don’t see any arguments on how Quicksand defeats Iron Man. There are no win-cons here, just a “only heat will work”.
- Fem quickly turns that around on his following response. Quicksand seems shitty while Iron Man has heat for days and very nice physicals.
- * “Please take note of the fact that Quicksand doesn’t have a single actual win condition presented here, the closest thing being “once she gets going, there’s gonna be stuff in the air.” Instead, my opponent is hedging his bets on the idea that Quicksand can’t be put down by Iron Man. With that being provably false, we are left with a character that has no durability and no win condition.” basically hits the nail on the head here. No win-con for Quicksand, no good durability feats shown, wobbly arguments on the “these won’t work against her” part, and Iron Man is stronk.
- * Corv kinda fails at disproving said points. I’m not entirely sure what’s the purpose of the Thor scaling here, since it’s either stupid or irrelevant. She also doesn’t recover from the rubble immediately. Luke Cage scaling is also irrelevant unless you show, yknow, Luke Cage feats. Same thing for Nova. Sonics don’t work I buy that, but bro Iron Man still stronk. Her heat scaling is vague and not established.
- * “The problem is that he’s simultaneously arguing that Thing can disperse this storm with his clapping feats, which entail this "huge amount of force" that amounts to knocking some people over and this feat of destroying some metal that my opponent has admitted is not building busting. So in other words, if you are able to create concussive force strong enough to knock over a handful of dudes or destroy a refrigerator, you can beat Quicksands win con. Iron Man can surpass these amounts of force several times over, therefore Quicksands win con is moot.” Facts. This sums up the whole problem with Quicksand’s shitty win-con.
- * The car, the cave and the airplane feat are more than enough of a display of both heat and destructive power beyond what Quicksand can viably take in a prolonged fight. Iron Man’s feats are not one-use either. Meanwhile Quicksand’s win-con is still… the ikea storm?
- VERDICT: Iron Man wins. Just blasts Quicksand apart with his immense, quantifiable and spammable heat attacks. Quicksand wasn’t given sufficient and quantified durability to prove that she would withstand these. Iron Man on his hand has both the heat and the strength to mog his opponent. Seriously, vague and non-established Thor, Luke Cage and Human Torch scaling is irrelevant. Iron Man goes pew pew.
- IRON MAN WINS.
