  35. <p dir="ltr" style="margin-bottom: 15px; color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-family: Lato, Helvetica, Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 15px;">In this task, you are presented with the&nbsp;<u><strong>original</strong></u><strong>&nbsp;</strong>headlines of 10 online news articles (from 2017-2018) and their&nbsp;<u><strong>edited</strong></u><strong>&nbsp;</strong>versions. Sometimes the edit makes the headline funny, other times it does not. In particular, some of the edited headlines are intentionally not funny because we need data that includes both funny and not funny headline edits. Your task is to&nbsp;<strong>grade&nbsp;how funny each&nbsp;edited headline is</strong>. You are to call an edited headline funny if any of the following holds:</p>
  36.
  37. <ul style="font-family: Verdana, Geneva, sans-serif;">
  38. <li style="font-size: 0.9em;"><span style="font-size: 15px; line-height: 30.8px;">It is funny by itself regardless of the original headline.</span></li>
  39. <li style="font-size: 0.9em;"><span style="font-size: 15px; line-height: 30.8px;">It is only funny when you consider how the original headline was changed.</span></li>
  40. </ul>
  41.
  42. <p dir="ltr" style="margin-bottom: 15px; color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-family: Lato, Helvetica, Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 15px;"><span style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0);">You will choose the&nbsp;funniness of the edited headlines&nbsp;on a&nbsp;range from 0 to 3 with 0 being "not funny" and 1,2,3 being <u><strong>uniformly increasingly</strong></u>&nbsp;funny. It is OK to give the same funniness score to two or more different edited versions of the same original headline. They might be the same funniness, but in different ways.</span></p>
  43.
  44. <p style="font-family: Verdana, Geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 0.9em;"><span style="font-family: Verdana, Geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 15px;"><u>Important Suggestions</u>:</span></p>

  47. <li style="font-family: Verdana, Geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 0.9em;"><span style="font-family: Verdana, Geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 15px;">Please judge the edited headline's funniness as it is, and do not consider other edits that could have been possible and made the headline funnier.</span></li>
  48. <li style="font-family: Verdana, Geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 0.9em;"><span style="font-family: Verdana, Geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 15px;">If the edited headline seems like it might be&nbsp;funny to other people, but you do not get the joke (e.g. because you may not know a person or a thing mentioned in the headline), then mark it as NOT FUNNY.</span></li>
  49. <li style="font-family: Verdana, Geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 0.9em;"><span style="font-family: Verdana, Geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 15px;">If you see two identical edits of the same headline, please assign both the same funniness score.&nbsp;</span></li>
