  1. Foreground and first background layers are really hard to discern. Hit a lot of walls I thought were background and vice versa.
  2. thought WASD was the controls, dashed all the time at first
  3. Why can i not just go to next map with a button on the finish map screen? It's my first playthrough, I want to progress!
  4. I don't see what I hook and have no control over it, find that way to hard
  5. I want a down button for descending fast, I find I have very little control over vertical movement, which makes me feel powerless.
  6. the green goo... you gotta explain that better. I knew what it was through reading in chat, but wouldn't have realized it just like this. Make it so that I can only pass it when I've really understood it. I always made it past by pressing random buttons and never "got it".
  7. stopping animation after walking seems to... lag behind a bit?
  8. Seeing a ghost that's way better than you in the first levels already makes me want to quit. Hide it at least until I beat the level once. If you added it as a learning tool for beginners: it's not working, I could only see them at the beginning most of the time. As soon as I was a few seconds behind or respawned at a checkpoint, its gone anyway. Plus it immediately pressures me into chasing it, even when I don't know the level yet and want to look around first.
  9. realizing I couldn't hook onto grey walls took me too long... explain it in a level!
  10. I miss ledges way too often. I feel like the jump should be slightly increased and make with more force (higher starting velocity). Jumping feels weak to me compared to what the others are doing, but it's the only mechanic I can semi-properly use right now -> doesn't make me feel good.
  11. first few levels: I NEVER felt like there was a good spot to dash or hook. And normally I wouldn't have even tried if it weren't for the damn ghost that's hooking/dashing all over the place. Of course I try to mimick it! I just fail miserably.
  12. I don't get the wall slime at all. Sometime I can wall jump off of it, sometimes I cant; it makes things slippery but that's all I know.
  13. Water + dashes + jumping = my despair; I have no idea what I'm doing, last bit of level flea I just passed by luck and random button mashing
  14. I can't hook properly: the levels are so jagged that whenever I hit the button, I rarely hit a surface and even then I don't feel like in control, I just hope the level takes me somewhere I want to go; Not knowing in which direction and how far it hooks makes it barely usable for me. Seeing where I'd hook if I pressed the button would help me a TON.
  15. Dashing I don't really get. I makes my current action faster right? But if I hit jump just a frame after Dash, I dash in a completely different direction than I wanted if I hit dash after jump. In general, the game punishes the tiniest mistakes by a great amount: missing a ledge, missing a hook point, hitting a button too late, too early.
  16. It didn't affect me while playing, but the bar for showing your dashes is too similar when you have almost now dash energy and when it's full. Maybe keep it visible when full or make it a different color when it's empty?
  17. The hints on what to press/do are too small and off at the bottom, where I don't read them until I've died a lot already.
  18. Difficulty curve is really steep. I made the mistake of trying to follow the ghost in the first levels and get a better time, but then gave up on that and started continuing to the next level when I beat one.
  19. Chasm I gave up on... no clue how I should get as high as the ghost to grab that next hook area right at the beginning. Tried 30+ times.
  20. The game does everything to make me feel imcompetent. It's REALLY good at that!
  21. the game is definitely made for a hardcore audience.
