  1. The door opens and closes without much fanfare, as a little boy shuts it rather morosely. He starts to take off his backpack in an automatic motion, looking up to find his desk chair to hang it off of.

  3. Which is about when he realizes that this is not his bedroom.
  4.
  5. As the realization hits, the vidscreen pops up in front of him. Henry just stares in incomprehension and visibly growing uncertainty, if not quite fear. After all, itโ€™s hard to be afraid when there are LEGOs scattered everywhere. Still, he could obviously use at least some explanation of what is even happening to him.

While he does, the Cubefall vidscreen pops up on cue. For a long moment he just stares at it in utter incomprehension before sighing explosively. โ€œGo away. I will play, but not this game, all right?โ€

  21. Which is why not long after a table has been pulled over to a booth, and both are covered with bits and pieces of LEGO Mindstorms, with six and a half feet of armored not-quite-Roman fiddling with them. He might be in his twenties, but the brilliant smile on his face is as excited as an eight-year-oldโ€™s. The almost-forgotten plate of cookies next to him reinforces the near incongruity.

  23. Tavi is playing with robots.
  24.
  25. Hiding may be advisable.
