- ARROZ CON LECHE (dessert rice with milk)
- For 5 servings
- 112 gr of rice
- 590mL of water
- 200 g of condense milk
- 177 g of evaporated milk
- milk (the needed when we are cooking so the rice conserve its humidity)
- sugar (to taste)
- 1 cinammon stick
- 5 cloves
- 40 gr raisins
- 1 or 2 tablespoons of vainilla
- orange zest or orange licor
- (optional) 1 tespoon of almond extract
- 40 gr of butter
- powder cinnamon (for decoration)
- Put the cinnamon and the cloves in a spice bag so we can take them out when necesarry
- Boild the water and add the spice bag and the rice, covered and let it boild for 16 minutes
- add the condense milk and evaporate milk, give it a stir, cover and give it another 8 to 10 minutes
- if you see is evaporated to much add milk
- Add sugar and stir
- Add the raisin
- add the vainilla, zest or orange licor and almond extract stir and boild for another 8 to 10 minutes
- is it is to dry add milk and boild for 5 minutes
- remove the spice bag
- add the butter and dissolve it with the heat turn off
- let ir cool a little and serve with some cinnamon on top
