[b][u]Anomaly Ω (Codename: The Hole)[/u][/b]

[u]Origins[/u]

Only the veterans of the War of Heaven and Hell have any knowledge of its true origins. In the final moments of the war, the commander of the Omega forces, the one known as "Reaper", was destroyed not with strength or most magic, but with his own internal energies, chief among them the powers of the Sands of Time that he had unknowingly absorbed into his body. The expulsion of these energies did not destroy him, but did destroy the war itself, erasing its events and returning the timeline to normal... but for the fact that rather than be destroyed, he became a part of the multiversal framework itself, this remade version of time and space being his new prison. The interaction between a timeline in which Omega had won known as "Ni∂höggr", or "Nidhogg", and the prime timeline resulted in a rift, a metaphysical tear between them that exists as a fundamental piece of the multiverse and a seal on this new, eternal prison for the now-endlessly powerful, but simultaneously impotent "Reaper". This tear also appears to have severed his second-in-command, the "Phantom", in two, some of his power merging with the soul of his past self known as Ronald Rivers to create the entity known as Cain Flueves, while the rest remains elsewhere on the other side.

[u]Physical Properties[/u]

The Hole is difficult to grasp, even in a physical sense. The coloration is darker than the blackest night, the composition appearing to be the essence of nothingness on a scale not even the Superior of the In-Between, Xemnas, could truly grasp. It is not even darkness, simply endless nothingness. It is impossible to touch, as it is not truly on this plane of existence, nor on any that most can grasp, even though it is physically visible on all of them.

[u]Magical Properties and Interactions[/u]

Due to the enormous amount of dark energies in the Hole, it has a noticeable probability of corrupting those who stray too near it for too long. However, the most effect comes to those who are either similar enough to (in terms of being the same person) or have similar enough power sets to someone on the other side. For instance, Jessica Mireu's proximity may bring in the version of herself, whereas the proximity of one such as DWN-∞, also known as Zero of the primary Megaman universe, will not cause any adverse effect whatsoever, due to having no surviving version on the other side. Another correlation is with magical sets. For instance, proximity of one with powers steeped in shadows may bring in corrupted beings of darkness, such as those of [url=http://thedarkness.wikia.com/wiki/Hell]Hell[/url] or [url=http://thedarkness.wikia.com/wiki/The_Otherworld]the Otherworld[/url] of The Darkness. However, this only occurs when said powers come in contact with the Hole itself, and, as such, do not pose a threat in and of themselves, nor is the effect instantaneous; the emergence can occur over several days later.

[u]Temporal Properties[/u]

The time of the Nidhogg multiverse on the other side of the Hole is approximately ten years after the present time, and, as such, has game developments that have yet to occur. Although many of the heroes are corrupted or killed before they completed their missions, they still have their plots known through extensive telepathic interference.
