How to get skills from people's castles: choose to fight them AT THEIR CASTLE with NO HANDICAP; any castle worth its rating should have everyone unequipped (or set to not move), and you can just walk up and seize the throne, even with a level 1 Elise.
Afterward, it'll ask if you want to take a unit home, or buy a skill at half price. If you take them home, you literally get a copy of them for free, and you can buy their skills from them any time by going to your Castle Assistant and choosing Unit Logbook/Directory/whatever.
When you buy a skill, it becomes available for that character in your current save file. This will NOT apply to "blue shield"/Einherjar units. Also, they'll get added to the logbook just like 'stolen' units, though you'll have to pay a hefty sum to buy the full unit.
Also, male Kannas can't get skills from female Kannas, apparently. Probably works the other way around, too. I have female Kanna, just to be clear.

And if anyone would like to make a Bond Unit with me, I'd love to. To make a Bond Unit, you have to both visit each other's castles for about three days in a row, and give an accessory every day (also register each other's cards I think). If you want to do that, leave a castle address and we can do it. Bond Units are pretty much children based on the two Corrins that make them; they can even be gay babies, and such; and they get a random personal skill based on the routes both people are playing, along with the last equipped skill of both Corrins.
