  2. emilio - Today at 12:31 PM
  3. @Collin
  4. some of the hypocrisy regarding xxx getting shot is retarded
  5. emilio - Today at 1:02 PM
  6. i know its not everyone but
  7. ive seen a lot of people who are expressing happiness at his death due to what he did to his gf
  8. but then also were extremely loud about when people were got wrongfully shot by police, even though some of them did do some fucked up shit before
  9. and also are hugely against prison system mistreatment such as conditions and death sentence
  10. its reasonable to be one way or the other
  11. Blaine - Today at 1:02 PM
  12. @Chris you don’t want to get in on this shit show
  13. emilio - Today at 1:02 PM
  14. that i dont care about
  15. both being some retarded mix
  16. Blaine - Today at 1:03 PM
  17. Tbh I feel like you can be happy a shitty person died and angry the police are shitty at the same time
  18. Those aren’t necessarily mutually exclusive reactions
  19. emilio - Today at 1:05 PM
  20. but isnt the basis behind behind thinking the police are being shitty is
  21. "they wrongfully killed this person", but the emphasis is on wrongfully which means they neither should have nor had the right to
  22. the right to is p clear, but the first thing of they shouldnt have means the person didnt deserve to die like that
  23. so i guess theyre not shitty enough to have deserved it
  24. Blaine - Today at 1:06 PM
  25. If I were to make a comparison, say you went to your favorite restaurant and ordered your favorite dessert that you were really craving. The kitchen ends up fucking it up and giving you a different dessert that you end up eating and really liking. You can be happy you got to try something new you liked but still be mad you didn’t get what you originally wanted
  26. emilio - Today at 1:06 PM
  27. and being happy x died like that is literally
  28. "im glad someone went out and did an extrajudicial execution on someone i didnt like"
  29. Blaine - Today at 1:06 PM
  30. It’s a good unexpected outcome, but they still fucked Up by not doing their job
  31. I think you’re projecting the wrong sentiment
  32. emilio - Today at 1:08 PM
  33. i think theres a stark difference between
  34. not wanting someone to exist and being glad they were killed
  35. Blaine - Today at 1:08 PM
  36. It’s not necessarily “I’m glad this person died outside the law” and more “I’m glad a shitty person died”
  37. Maybe, some people can be extremely judgmental
  38. emilio - Today at 1:09 PM
  39. and its perfectly reasonable to think the first almost regardless of you views on other things
  40. but the second doesnt work with other views that are relatively common
  41. Blaine - Today at 1:09 PM
  42. And can’t necessarily make that distinction
  43. I don’t think anyone is encouraging murder tbh,I think they’re just happy it happened to someone they believed deserved it
  44. That doesn’t necessarily mean they encourage further murders
  45. emilio - Today at 1:11 PM
  46. but to express happiness at his death is an implicit support of how he died
  47. Blaine - Today at 1:11 PM
  48. I don’t really see the issue in thinking “I’m glad he died” but also thinking at the same time “but I hope people stop killing each other”
  49. Like if I went back to my dessert analogy, I could easily think “I’m glad I got this new tasty dessert, but I hope they don’t fuck Up my order next time”
  50. Expressing pleasure at the New dessert doesn’t imply that I encourage them to continue fucking up
  51. It just means I was happy with the outcome that one time
  52. emilio - Today at 1:12 PM
  53. im not saying that theyre supporting future shootings
  54. im saying
  55. theyre supporting the current shooting
  56. so for that analogy, youre in a way glad that the mistake occurred
  57. Blaine - Today at 1:13 PM
  58. I think you’re too heavily associating cause and effect
  59. They don’t necessarily have to be the same
  60. Again you can be mad at the kitchen for fucking Up but still glad you ended up with something good
  61. emilio - Today at 1:15 PM
  62. but by saying its good, youre directly saying the kitchen produced this good food
  63. like i think it would be fine to think
  64. i wish x were dead, but this shouldnt have happened, this was fucked up
  65. like
  66. saying
  67. not now
  68. ie, im not glad hes dead like this
  69. Blaine - Today at 1:16 PM
  70. Or if I were to make a video game analogy, say we’re playing ranked 5s and we’re really trying to win, and we kill their jungler and their top and we make the call to baron. The enemy team has the remaining 3 not with no tp while we’re all at baron. There is a massive wave top and they have 50 sec respawn timers. If we take baron and push top, we are guaranteed an inhibitor with no deaths.
  71.
  72. Instead Harrison goes bot, and we’re all mad. However, he gets a triple kill randomly with mongo powers. We can be mad he did it and tell him not to do that next time, but can still say “nice play, shitty decision making”
  73. emilio - Today at 1:17 PM
  74. the bad part comes in when people say, im glad hes dead, regardless of the way he died this time
  75. Blaine - Today at 1:17 PM
  76. Idk tbh
  77. Personally I don’t see an issue separating cause and effect
  78. And being upset at the cause but happy at the outcome
  79. But that’s just my opinion I suppose
  80. emilio - Today at 1:18 PM
  81. lets compare it to
  82. when a mass shooting happens
  83. and the media blasts the shooters info and life story
  84. people have had an issue with it it supposedly glorifies the shooting and other people will see and think
  85. "hey i should do that"
  86. im assuming the media does think the shooting was bad
  87. but by glorifying the shooting
  88. theyre supporting new shooters
  89. so for x, regarding people who support the fact that he died
  90. it doesnt even matter if they say they wish it didnt happen like this
  91. by saying theyre glad he died, it implies this manner of death was ok, and theres gonna people who pick up on that and directly support it themselves
  92. so even if they didnt mean to, their approval of his death like this supports drivebys
