BASIC RECORDING STEPS

1. Read through the script to yourself.

2. Read it again, aloud to hear what is going to trip you up.

3. Make your recording, remembering that you shouldn't just be READING, you should be PERFORMING.

4. Listen to your recording before you post. Don't think "1 and done." Be a pro, and if it's not satisfying, redo it.

5. Post your recording (if you use the "Name" function in /d/, you won't have to sign your posts).

DECIDING ON A HANDLE

It shouldn't be your initials, any form of your real name, or any name you use on another site. It shouldn't be something that could be recognized by anybody as pertaining to you IRL. You really don't want anyone to connect anything you do here to you IRL. People can object to this kind of work and be shitty. So, don't use your high school or college team names if they are really from your schools. If you're a king-hell bitch in IRL, call yourself Grace or Felicity. If you're a sweet girl IRL, call yourself something fierce. If your real name is Italian, use something from another country in another continent and otherwise think outside the box. You could also just let your last captcha choose it.

Trolls and stalkers rely on bits of information. If they can get one or two pieces of information; your home state, a jobsite--anything, really, they can add more and more until you end up doxxed, with all your info posted. Stay safe and do not be trusting with your personal information! Remember, not just your vocal fans listen to your work - lurkers who you will never speak to do, too.
