Surprise Visitor

It’s finally the weekend.  Even though it isn’t necessarily healthy for me, I like the weekend best because I don’t have to go out and be around people.  I can stay in my room all day, and no one outside my closest friends come by.  I even feel a little relaxed to the point where I can wear clothes for just lounging around and not worry about people seeing my scars.  I like those pink pajamas, but if I wear them too much they get too dirty.

Its days like this when I can just sit around, pull out my old Gameboy, and just play a ga-

*KNOCK KNOCK KNOCK*

NO!  NO NO NO NO NO NO NO!!!!

I panic.  I know it’s not Lilly or Hisao, they would call or text before coming over unannounced.  I’m only wearing a normal T-shirt and some shorts, most of my right side is visible and OH NOOOOO, NO NO NO NO-

*KNOCK KNOCK KNOCK*

NO!!!  I spring off my bed, run straight for my closet and grab whatever can cover my wretched body up.  Who would ever come by my room!?  I definitely know it’s not Lilly or Hisao, because I think I heard some voi- THERE’S MORE THAN ONE PERSON OUTSIDE!?!?!?!?

*muffled voice*

My mind is spinning so fast just trying to get something on I can’t even make out what they say.  It sounds like 2 older people.  Is it my therapist?  No, he’s never come by my room before, how would he know where it is?  What if he looked up school records to find out my room?  Why would he even do that?  It couldn’t be him.  What if it’s Mutou to give me some work?  He could find out where I am.  But whenever I needed something from class, he just gave it to Hisao to give to me.

Ok, I just need to calm down.  Whoever they are, they probably think I’m not here by now since I haven’t said anyth-

The door unlocks.

WHAT IS GOING ON!?  WHO IS THAT!?!?  HOW CAN THEY GE-

“Oh, hello, I didn’t think anyone was in here.  Did you hear the knocking?  We’re maintenance, just gonna do a routine spray for bugs.”

“O-oh, k-k-k....”

He gives me an odd look, and he and his assistant come and spray the odd corners of the room.  I don’t even move, I’m completely paralyzed.

“Ok, all done!  You have a nice day!”

“Y-you too...”

I’m trembling from all the excitement.  So after all that, it was only maintenance coming to spray.  I thought they sent out a notice before they do that?  I always made sure to be with Lilly on those days so I wouldn’t be alone.  How horrifying...

What a weekend this has turned out to be.

This story is based off something that happened to me.  Roommate left and I had apartment completely to myself for about 2 weeks, and I’m not a very social person, so there was absolutely 0% chance of anyone just coming by to visit.  Freaked me the fuck out.
