Cinematography these days is mostly inspired by great love stories. The main reason is that everybody's eagar for the kind of love portrayed in romantic movies. The most successful and famous movie based on a true love story is 'The Titanic'. Plot of this movie, that has captured hearts and minds worldwide, is about a forbidden love between an engaged woman and a lower-class man.
The woman, Rose, was portrayed as a classy woman engaged to a rich guy. Contrary to that, Jack was broke and won the ticket by sheer luck. They both fell in love at the first sight but their love at the end was tragic.
Beacuse of idealisation of love stories which was made by movie makers, people think that real love exists and lasts until death separates them. It shows us the imaginary world of love where everything is perfect and everyone is happy, which creates unrealistic expectations in people's minds.
Even though great love sounds amazing I doubt I might find one. Bad life experiences made me sceptic and I do not easily trust people after all misfortunes I've had with others, romantic love stories are difficult to believe in. When one is hurt a lot and betrayed by people it is hard for him to see the beauty of loving and being loved.
