- Phase 3: Verify the Worker
- Check the Queue: Before you start uploading a heavy video file, it is always a good habit to quickly check that the backend worker is awake.
- Open Docker Desktop.
- Click the Containers tab.
- Ensure both vid2scene-web-1 and vid2scene-worker-1 have a green dot next to them.
- 4. Paste this URL into any browser
- http://localhost:8000
- Exiting checklist:
- 1. Save guassian splat
- 2. Go in Django admin mode to delete scene processing jobs
- http://localhost:8000/admin/video_processor/sceneprocessingjob/
- Credentials: admin (for both fields)
- Click the box select, Action > Delete selected scene processing jobs
- 3. Stop the Engine: Open your Ubuntu terminal (while still inside the ~/vid2scene folder) and run:
- Why this works: The -v (or --volumes) flag tells Docker to destroy all the "named volumes" the GitHub page mentioned. It instantly incinerates the Azurite storage (where the splats live) and the Postgres database.
- docker compose down -v
- 4. In Ubuntu command prompt:
- exit
- 5. Quit Docker: Right-click the whale icon in the Windows system tray and click Quit.
- 6. Powershell (Run as admin):
- wsl --shutdown
