Yeah. In cities like Osh, it can be even worse due to ethnic tension. In light of ethnic violence like the one in 2010, it isn't uncommon for Uzbek families to marry their daughters to Uzbek men when they are as young as 14. The young Uzbek man in the situation, who is usually slightly older, leaves to work as an expat in Russia nearly right away. The reason for this is to keep the man safe from being killed by ethnic Kyrgyz if there is a race riot, and at least now if the daughter is raped in said race riot, she is already married and thus won't ever be unmarried, because she would be unable to be married if she had been raped beforehand...
