  1. 2nd Abnormal Psychological or Psychiatric Foundations The 1st presumption before entering this arena is to recognize it to be devoid of any moral reasoning or justification. This is exemplified that for example the word righteousness does not enter into the equation. So what areas could be reflect this behavior:
  2.
  3. a.) The 1st classic description is COPROLALIA which involves the uttering of obscenities.
  4.
  5. b.) The 2nd would be CONDUCT disorder.
  6.
  7. c.) The 3rd would be OPPOSITIONAL DEFIANT disorder.
  8.
  9. d.) Now as the person becomes much older what appears to be potentially only bad habits now persist to the point of becoming what are called personality disorders beginning with ANTI-SOCIAL PERSONALITY disorder.
  10.
  11. e.) BORDERLINE personality disorder.
  12.
  13. f.) HISTRIONIC in that as with clothes etc. the person is trying to bring attention to themselves. To make impression.
  14.
  15. g.) NARCISSISTIC in that the person from a superior positioning is attempting to distance themselves from someone with whom they feel is beneath them socially or mentally.
  16.
  17. h.) AVOIDANT personality disorder. Although the language may appear with this disorder this disorder is not the dynamic driving this person. The language is more of a means of shoving away from someone as a boat tender shoves the boat away from the dock after he unties it from the pier. He/She knows that further interpersonal contact may result in criticism, disapproval, or rejection.
  18.
  19. i.) A mix of disorders can be seen when reflects of an IED or INTERMITTENT EXPLOSIVE disorder in which we can see behavior exhibited which could or does lead to a physical fight with another. It is most easily recognized as anger but is technically defined as a IMPULSE CONTROL disorder.
  20.
  21.
  22.
  23. The key here is to acknowledge or admit the disorder is a problem. As with all abnormal psychology or psychiatry this can be accomplished when the person who is called a patient sees some harm to themselves from their interpersonal relationships or an affect to their employment. Therapy which can include drugs are the usual answer. My recommended approach here is cognitive therapy. What and How can you go about correction from a curative standpoint? Follow-up with the person on their deviant behavior at appropriate times. When is this? Not at the point when they are using the language but at times when they are not. Ask them what their opinion is of using such language around children and try and build on that cognition. Explore with them in their mind if they allow to how and when they started using such language. Explain to them what a cognition is and ask them if they have received negative feedback from using such language. Explain to them that for example, a prospective employer may not say anything in an interview but then again just never call them back. Explain that this is silent feedback. Explain to them that prospective employers are doing background checks on employees besides drug testing for example going to Facebook and MYSPACE.COM and bringing up their profiles/blogs/etc. as well as their friends comments. Give positive feedback on proper language. Women are very apt to tell other women how beautiful the other looks but seldom comment on the beauty of each others language. Guys have the mistaken belief that foul language is macho and a requirement of being accepted in to the group. What group? The group of fouls? Many guys are also copy cats trying to be cool as the guys in R rated movies. Explain that they are simply duped by some screenwriter, producer, director, actor, trying to make a buck at the box office. However now they are in the real world not the world of Hollywood and such language wont cut in real life. For years and years and years the emulation was over smoking cigarettes on the screen. All about being cool and with it. Now it is risky sex, language, and violence.
  24.
  25. Not mentioned above under areas of behavioral areas is that of relationships involving spouses. Couples often end up seeking marital counseling. Exploders of disruptive behavior are often discussed in such counseling. So man of course is out earning the bread. The wife is often now also out earning the bread because the man is unemployed, she is bored, or she wants to participate. The man could be pushing her to work to improve their overall financial situation. However they also have children, housework to be done, shopping, etc. etc. and arguing begins to develop over this and that. The exploder to a down and out fight can be foul language that envelops the argument. What is not recognized is that these words politely described as hard, crude, rough, language are the propellant which end up causing lasting displacement to a loving relationship. It becomes tit for tat one upmanship. Before you know it you have separation then divorce then a dysfunctional family. After comments are such as, We just didnt get along He/she was boring. He/she didnt love me. Etc. etc. blah, blah, blah!
