  1. Alexithymiaa: -Adam held the broom tightly in his hands, pushing it roughly over the floor as he overswept his little pile of dirt and debris in circles around the floor. He shook the broom out a little before placing it back down on the floor, pushing the dirt again.-
  2. Covet: -Eli looked up at him and saved his progress, as he set his tablet down.- It helps if you put it into the dustpan, Man. You spacing out over there? -He asked -
  3. Alexithymiaa: -Adam lifted his head when he heard Eli's voice, turning to look over at him with a little sheepish smile. "Yeah. Sorry. I was in my own little world. I'll grab the dust pan." He moved to lean the broom against the wall, moving behind the counter to grab the dust pan. "What are you working on?"-
  4. Tsaaq: Bliss came from the bathroom, tucking the cleaning bucket under the counter. "The bathrooms are clean for the night, I assume." She said with a slight tilt of her head. "So long as no one goes in there... Am I interrupting?"
  5. Covet: Flyer for the event on Thursday. -Eli said then looked at Bliss- Fantastic, Thank you My dear. No not interrupting anything. -He watched Adam and furrowed his brows together-
  6. Alexithymiaa: "Oh, very cool." Adam nodded, moving back over to the little pile of dirt to sweep it into the dust pan, walking it to the garbage to dump it. "Just working on getting this place clean. I'll keep an eye out to see if anyone goes into the bathroom before we close."-
  7. Tsaaq: "Oh that's fantastic!" Bliss grinned and clapped a moment. She walked around the counter and sat down on the stool, facing Adam a moment. "Oh thank you. You're still speaking right? At the event?" Bliss asked him.
  8. Covet: -Eli smiled at her enthusiasm and kept and eye on Adam, I still need the info that you want me to put on it other than the title and date, Should I just put a simple Guest speakers kind of thing? Oh and where's it's going to be for sure.-Eli added glancing back down at his tablet-
  9. Alexithymiaa: "Oh yeah, sure. Who else do you have speaking as of right now? Because as enthusiastic as I am about the topic, I'm not exactly a qualified speaker."-
  10. Tsaaq: "Yes, just put guest speakers, and it's going to be at the quad at the promenade." She began to ramble excitedly. "Perhaps we should say, if you're ready to help change the culture of our campus then attend our event? Oh, that sounds a little formal..." Bliss grumbled. "Well... You seemed very passionate and I need some male speakers but I suppose I can't force you."
  11. Covet: I agree with Bliss. You're passionate and you're a nice guy which is a good face for this kind of thing. -Eli said with a nod then started looking at some fonts.- I'll put some sort of encouraging phrase on there to lure people in.
  12. Alexithymiaa: "I don't mind speaking, I just think you should have some people speak that are also qualified to do so. Maybe people who do motivational speaking for a living or something like that?"-
  13. Musik: -Ash climbed out of his car and shoved his hands into his sweatshirt pocket as he moved up into the building. He looked around and pulled his hands from his sweatshirt rubbing his hands together. He moved down the stairs and walked over to the comics, rummaging through them.-
  14. Tsaaq: "I was trying to pick students to help create a certain level of relatability..." Bliss sighed. "I already have professors speaking, we need people from our age group and I'm wary about actually asking victims. I don't want anybody to be offended." She explained before turning to see Ash enter the shop. "Oh, look who's here." Bliss went to wave in his direction.
  15. Covet: -Eli looked up hearing someone walk in and saw Ash. He lifted his hand gave a polite wave, then went back to the group.- Don't be too hesitant. You can be respectful about it, and if they say no, they say no. I don't think it's something that could be too offensive.
  16. Alexithymiaa: -He walked over to lean his elbow down on the counter, looking between Eli and Bliss. "I'm with Eli on this one. I think if anything, victims would want to be heard. Would want to help and empower others. I'm sure everyone handles situations different, but some of them could really make an impact."-
  17. Tsaaq: Bliss scrunched up her face. "When I asked Hayley last week she was not happy about it at all so..." She muttered. "I guess it really depends on the person." She shrugged her shoulders.
  18. Covet: Hmm, Well there are other options out there. Just because the first one said no, doesn't mean they all will. -He said encouragingly.- I have faith in you. Maybe it could be a couple of them, so they're not up there alone so they're feeling less vulnerable?
  19. Alexithymiaa: "I don't think Hayley would be the best choice for something like that right now..." He turned his head to look across the shop, taking it in. "But I'm sure one of the others would be open to the idea."-
  20. Tsaaq: She stared at Adam a moment with her eyebrows furrowed. "Um... Alright I suppose. That's an odd thing to say but alright." She murmured awkwardly. "I think instead we should have the speakers we have, and the rest can be an open mic so that whoever else wishes to make a statement can." Bliss said with a slow nod. "That way nobody will seem featured and nobody will feel a direct pressure or anything. Everyone will get a chance to voice an opinion after the key note speakers."
  21. Covet: Okay I'll make note of that on the flyer. I think that's an alright idea. -Eli looked over at Adam- Is everything alright with Hayley?
  22. Alexithymiaa: "Not really..." He mumbled in reply to Bliss, sweeping a hand up through his hair before glancing over to Eli. "Nothing out of the ordinary."-
  23. Tsaaq: "It is." She said with a skeptical raise of her eyebrows. "If nothing is out of the ordinary then why wouldn't she be a good choice as a speaker 'right now'?" She asked him quickly with her eyes widening.
  24. Covet: I'm kinda in the same boat with Bliss. But then again if it's personal stuff, I can respect that boundary. -Eli said looking back down at this screen working on the flyer.-
  25. Alexithymiaa: "Because right now, and continuously as of lately, that's not something she would do. Not out of the ordinary compared to the last few weeks. What's the difference?" He shot back, turning away from the counter and walking back to the corner to grab the broom he'd left there before, shoving it into the closet.-
  26. Tsaaq: Bliss darted her eyes a moment and turned away. "Don't get cross with me. You're the one being evasive with your answers." She grumbled begrudgingly as she went to glance down at her phone.
  27. Covet: Uh, Adam, can I see you in the office real quick? -Eli said standing up when he heard Adam's attitude, walking towards the door-
  28. Alexithymiaa: -He dropped his head with a deep sigh. "Yeah...." He followed Eli toward the office door, stepping inside and pulling his hands to hug his arms uncomfortably.-
  29. Tsaaq: She furrowed her eyebrows once more and got up from the counter. "Alright..." She whispered as she went to grab the rag so she could wipe things down cause clearly she was missing stuff.
  30. Covet: -Eli held the door open for him and closed it once he'd stepped inside- Have a seat, please. I can't have you snapping like that in front of the customers, regardless of the reason. What's got you so tense?
  31. Alexithymiaa: -He dropped to sit down, leaning forward and covering his eyes with his open palm, shaking his head. "I know. I'm sorry. I'll apologize to Bliss. It just bothers me that she would even think Hayley is emotionally stable enough to speak about anything like that. She's out of her mind right now."-
  32. Tsaaq: Bliss was wiping tables and being meticulous about it and stuff.
  33. Covet: I appreciate it, and I know she will too. I don't think she knows what's going on with Hayley, and that's why she's acting like she is. Even she's said Hayley's kind of been pushing her away lately. -Eli said, then furrowed his brow- How has she been out of her mind?
  34. Alexithymiaa: -He shook his head because he didn't even want to share Hayley's business despite how crazy it sounded, letting out a deep sigh. "I can't... I can't even tell you. Just trust me on this one."-
  35. Tsaaq: She pursed her lips, moving from one table to the next. She scrunched up face and peered at the hanging lamps as well, deciding to wipe the outside of it a little just to get whatever residual dust had been there.
  36. Covet: Alright. I'll take that answer. If there's anything we can do from here to help. Just let me know. I'm going to let you head home early if you want. Seems like you're pretty stressed and I'm sure some extra sleep, or a run or something is right up your alley. -Eli said heading for the door- Please make sure you appologize to Bliss though. I'll try to ease her concern about Hayley.
  37. Alexithymiaa: -He nodded and pushed up to his feet, his eyes set on Eli's face. "Thanks. You're a good boss. And friend." He forced a very faint smile onto his lips before turning to walk out of the office, heading over to Bliss and slowing down. "I'm sorry I snapped at you. I didn't mean to, and you didn't deserve an attitude that was in no way your doing."-
  38. Tsaaq: "It
  39. Tsaaq: ((fuuuccck.))
  40. Tsaaq: "It's fine I suppose." Bliss murmured as she went to step back, putting her hand on her hip. "It happens to the best of us." She shrugged her shoulders.
  41. Covet: You're a good friend too, friend first, employee second. Take it easy man. -Eli said patting Adam on the shoulder as he walked out of the office and stepped back behind the counter, watching the exchange between the both of them. -
  42. Alexithymiaa: -He nodded his head to Bliss, fidgeting on his feet awkwardly for a moment. "Well... have a good night." He turned abruptly and walked to the doors, pulling them open to step outside where he exhaled the breath he didn't realize he'd been holding. Moving down the sidewalk, he headed down toward his truck, milling around outside in the chilly air for a few minutes before taking off.-
  43. Tsaaq: She inhaled deeply then went back to wiping down the tables. "Night." She said before going over to the couches, straightening everything up.
  44. Covet: -He walked from behind the counter and walked over to the couch, glancing around before he sat down- Poor guy is stressed like nobody's business. He wouldn't say what's up, but I can only imagine what's up at this point, after a previous conversation with him. I hope everything's alright between the two of them.
  45. Tsaaq: "I presumed everything was fine, a few weeks ago she was asking about using my pool for some thing they wanted to do together." Bliss said with her eyebrow raised.
  46. Covet: He was telling me about how he feels like he doesn't make her happy. It stems from some intimate things, if you catch my drift, that was as of last week. -He said with a sigh- That's about as much as I know about it though.
  47. Tsaaq: Bliss frowned a little and shrugged her shoulders. "Oh..." She murmured. "I don't really understand what that has to do with making a person happy but... I won't ask. It's not like she's opening up to me about it." She shrugged.
  48. Covet: Well, He's not so fond of the whole erm...coitus thing and she is. So it's making things tense between them and not in a good way. -He looked at Bliss- Do you think something bigger's going on there? -He asked-
  49. Alexithymiaa: (WOW ELI JUST PUTTING THAT ALL OUT THERE FOR EVERYONE HUH?)
  50. Covet: [ Okay but he only did that part because Bliss and him have had similar conversations. He's looking for some insight because he's not sure how else to help ]
  51. Tsaaq: She stared at him a moment. "Oh, that's why." Bliss said, nodding her head. "I don't understand why they're together then. They should break up, they're obviously not compatible." She said dismissively. "Define 'bigger'?" She asked hi.
  52. Tsaaq: ((Bliss is not everyone lol.))
  53. Covet: I dunno. Just the way she's kind of closed off communication with you, issues that have Adam pretty worked up right now. Just seems like either something's else might be up. Maybe I'm reading too much into it. -Eli responded.
  54. Tsaaq: "It's hard to make assumptions when you barely talk to a person." Bliss said as she went to sit down. "It's probably just this hump they can't seem to get over but somebody has to take action either somebody has to make a comprimise of they have to part ways. That's the most general relationship advice I can think of." She sighed.
  55. Tsaaq: ((or*))
  56. Covet: I hope so. I mean, I want them to both be happy, but yeah, it's like you said. if they aren't able to compromise and aren't compatible... I just worry about how that's going to effect work for them. We definitely need to schedule that work productivity meeting. -Eli said then looked at Bliss, giving her a soft smile-
  57. Tsaaq: She pursed her lips. "I mean, it's really none of my business." Bliss murmured. "I don't really care. As long as they do their jobs then it doesn't matter. Hayley hasn't been a very productive worker lately, if anything we can just fire her." She replied emotionlessly.
  58. Covet: -Eli turned his head and furrowed his brow- Really? You say that so casually. Is everything alright? -He asked, watching her-
  59. Tsaaq: "I don't care about Adam and Hayley's drama. There's always Adam and Hayley drama. I don't have the energy for it. I have important things to worry about and I will invest my time in it." Bliss replied casually. "And I don't really know why you're somehow investing energy in it."
  60. Covet: .... Because they are our friends? And they'd do the same for us? -Eli said in questions.- I mean I get not getting too involved, but to completely write it off. I don't know that just seems a tad cold. -He shrugged-
  61. Tsaaq: She stared at Eli a moment the pressed her lips tightly against each other. "We don't have those problems though, we're actually mature enough to talk things out and we barely have any types of quarrels." She began to rationalize outloud. "I don't know Eli. It's annoying. They're both kind of annoying." Bliss continued.
  62. Covet: So that means we just stop caring? Because we're better than them, and because they're annoying? -He frowned and leaned forward on his knees- I hate saying this, but that kind of seems like some shallow thinking. -He stood up and went to the register to start counting down the till.-
  63. Tsaaq: "I don't know Eli." Bliss threw up her hands. "Like I said before. I have other things to worry about, I have to restore order at Talon, I have to be a good SGA president, I want to be valedictorian when I graduate. I have to be summa cum laude, and before all that I need to land a good internship. I just got my legs back, I just can't seem to find the time to care about them. I'm sorry." She shrugged.
  64. Covet: It's fine. I get it. Everyone has their priorities. -Eli said looking over at her- I'm just a little disappointed, because they've gone out of their way to make sure you're alright and to cheer you up. Especially when you were in some pretty low moments -He sighed and shook his head, giving a reluctant smile- But it doesn't matter you've already said you don't have the time. So I won't bother you with their issues anymore.
  65. Tsaaq: She pursed her lips a moment and responded with another shrug. She began to grin, completely missing the point once he said he wouldn't bother her with it anymore. "Thank you." She said in a very matter-of-fact tone. "Now that I don't have to worry about friends I can focus on what's important." She sighed with relief. "Now, is everything all set here? Or do you need me to do anything else?"
  66. Covet: Nope, I can take are of the rest of this. Go focus on what's important. -He said looking at her before he gave an incredulous shake of his head, having to count the stack of bills over again, completely shocked by her tone and response.-
  67. Tsaaq: "Alright dear. I'll see you tomorrow then." She smiled at him as she went to go out the door and headed back to talon, completely oblivious of his shock.
  68. Covet: -He blinked and stared at the door for a long second then let out a sigh and finished what he needed to do to head upstairs to try and sleep-
